又到了美丽的圣诞节，虽然这不是中国的节日，可是对我们这群爱疯爱闹的孩子来说，是值得庆祝的。每到圣诞节前夕，教师里总会传出许多议论、许多鬼点子。你听：“我们可以在圣诞节那天打扮成各种各样的人，并带上自己的小礼物。”

第二天，我到了教室，真漂亮啊!圣诞树呈塔形，穿着一件绿衣裳，身上挂着的一个个小铃铛，轻轻一碰，叮当、叮当发出的声音;金色的小灯，好像天上眨眼的星星;五颜六色的小灯笼，一闪一闪的，上面挂满了同学们的礼物。

再看同学们的打扮，在日常生活中见都没见过：公主、天使、魔法师、猎人、老爷爷......甚至有同学男扮女装，我则打扮成了一个圣诞老人。

接着，我们互相辨认起来，这是小丽，她最爱美，打扮成了公主;这是小杰，他酷爱魔法，打扮成了魔法师......到了最后，只有两位同学没被我们辨认出来。

随后，我们按照学号依次从圣诞树上闭着眼睛摸取礼物，真希望我能得到一份好礼物。

这个圣诞节，快乐更神秘!

It is Teachers Day today. On this special occasion I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all teachers, "Happy Teachers Day!"

Of all teachers who have taught me since my early childhood, the most unforgettable one is my first English teacher in college, Ms. Zhang. It is she who has aroused my keen interest in the learning of English and helped me realize the importance of self-reliance. Born into a poor farmers family in a mountainous area and educated in relatively primitive surroundings, I found myself lagging far behind in the first class in college, which happened to be Ms. Zhangs English class. I was really discouraged and frustrated, so I decided to drop out. Ms. Zhang was so keenly insightful that she had noticed my embarrassment in class. After class, she called me into the Teachers Room and discussed the situation with me, earnestly and kindly, citing the example of Robinson Crusoe to motivate me to go ahead in spite of all kinds of difficulties. "Be a man and rely on yourself," she nudged me. The next time we met, she brought me a simplified version of Robinson Crusoe and recommended that I finish reading it in a week and write a book report. Under her consistent and patient guidance, not only has my English been greatly improved, but my confidence and courage enhanced considerably.

"Rely on yourself and be a man," Ms. Zhangs inspiring words have been echoing in my mind. I will work harder and try my utmost to lay a solid foundation for my future career. Only by so doing can I repay Ms. Zhangs kindness and live up to her expectations of me, that is, to become a useful person and contribute to society.

SomeHolidays are so much fun that they catch on outside of their culture. The most obvious exampleisprobably Christmas, which is celebrated around the world by people who aren’t even Christian. Similarly, in recent years, the Dragon Boat Festival has moved beyond China to become an international holiday celebrated by people who may know little about the holiday’s origins.

有些节日实在是很有趣，所以在本土文化以外的地方也很受欢迎。最明显的例子可能就是圣诞节，世界各地的人都会庆祝圣诞节，即使是非基督徒。同样，最近几年端午节已经不局限于中国，成为国际性节日，而庆祝的人可能对节日的由来并不太了解。

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of three majorChineseholidays, along with the Spring and Moon Festivals. Of the three, it is possibly the oldest, dating back to the Warring States Period in 227 B.C. The festival commemorates Qu Yuan, a minister in the service of the Chu Emperor. Despairing over corruption at court, Qu threw himself into a river. Townspeople jumped into their boats and tried in vain to save him. Then, hoping to distract hungry fish from his body, the people scattered rice on the water.

Over the years, the story of Qu’s demise transformed into the traditions of racing dragon boats and eating zongzi – a kind of rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. The races have certainly captured the imagination of people from all over the world. Every spring there are nearly 60 dragon boat races held outside of China in cities from Vancouver to Sydney, from Gdańsk, Poland to Cape Town, South Africa. Canada alone has nearly 50 dragon boat teams and Germany has nearly 30.

I just haven’t really acquired it yet.”

If I am able to create a holiday, it would be the "Food and Fun Day". Think about it, with all the school homework and exams; it would be really nice to take a break from all the studies and just relax. Also I think everyone would enjoy the great food and lots of fun. Its just like a big party where everyone is invited. I would like the "Food and Fun Day" be set during the middle of the school year, where everyone can relax from their studies for a day. On that day, everyone will bring food and drinks to school and share what they brought with friends, students, and teachers. There will also be games and winners gets great prizes. Think about it, how great it would be to have a holiday like that!

May Day is coming, it is my bad day. Mother again and again, again and again said to me: "you should labor labor, labor day dont rock the boat at home."

And I dont take it seriously, everywhere to beat at home. Mother saw it, and cried: you dont rock the boat here, give me sweep the floor! so I just casually to sweep up, my left and a right swing, in a short time is just like my mom said to me he was finished. Mother saw the dust of the ground, angry criticism way: "do you still like this, nothing. You still washing clothes!" I was puzzled: "why always let me do the housework? 妈妈又看见衣服上的污渍做一块有一块，垂头丧气的说：“你还是改不了这个坏毛病，算了，你玩儿你的去吧!”“坏毛病?有吗?”我反复思考起来，恍然大悟起来，原来这些活妈妈每天都做，而且一声苦都没喊，我这么长时间才做一次，就叫苦连天。妈妈真是辛苦啊!

Today is the annual New Years day, we are all very happy, the mood is very excited.

We wait until the afternoon meal, and then going to see the New Years day program, however, before this, our grade for a moment, the beginning sang childrens songs, and then said said of the New Years day. Immediately, we are stepping lightsome pace, singing a happy song, which came into the restaurant.

Seats in the restaurant, the teacher arranged after the last 5 number immediately after the splendid New Years day began. Soon, the beautiful songs slowly in the past. Soon the past a lot of dance, "mulan", I pull hook and birds hook, "spicy girl"... Soon, we held our breath, turn soon - dance the auspicious peacock - before our class teacher let us read the original.

Our class Zhang Xuanyi is starring in inside, and zhao mu, Li Shitong, ShenXiaoXue in our class, there are other class people play in it. Soon, the beautiful melody, stage lighting. Actors wearing makeup, dressed in green peacock. Mesa, a piece of green. Dance dance slowly. On the stage as if have magic, see all of the eyeball. Soon a warm voice, very loud and clear. Quickly into the climax, pieces of dance "peacock", little light shining on the tail moving. Soon ended. New Years day was soon over.

Today is really a happy New Year!

今天，是一年一度的元旦，我们大家都很开心，心情也是十分激动。

我们大家一直等到下午吃完饭，然后就打算看元旦节目了，不过，在这之前，我们年级开了一个小会，一开始唱了会儿歌，然后就说了说元旦的注意事项。马上，我们就踏着轻盈的脚步，哼着欢快的歌曲，进餐厅了。

到了餐厅，老师安排好座位之后，倒数5个数之后精彩元旦就马上开始了。第一个是《英华畅想曲》，上面有一大群的人，有那小提琴的、吹笛子的、弹琴的……有很多的人，还有智慧的老师在最前面指挥。很快，这美妙的歌曲慢慢就过去了。很快就过去了很多舞蹈，有《木兰辞》、《我和小鸟拉钩钩》、《辣妞妞》……很快，我们屏住气息，很快就轮到了——我们班的舞蹈《吉祥孔雀》——之前老师还让我们看过原版的。

我们班张玄仪在里面是主演，还有我们班的赵高沐、李诗同、申晓雪，还有其他班的人在里面演。很快，美妙的旋律开始了，舞台上灯光满面。演员们化着妆，穿着绿色的孔雀衣服。台面上一眼望去，一片绿色。舞姿慢慢的舞动起来。舞台上仿佛拥有魔术一般，把大家看的眼珠子一动不动。很快一片热烈的声音响起，十分响亮。很快进入了高潮，一片片“孔雀”翩翩起舞，尾巴上的点点光闪亮动人。很快就结束了。元旦也很快就结束了。

今天真是开心的元旦啊!

The August Moon Festival orMid-Autumn Festival (Chinese characters above) is one of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. Chinese legends say that the moon is at its brightest and roundest on this day. Based on the Gregorian calendar, this years August Moon Festival will be held on September 19.

The August Moon Festival is often called the Womens Festival. The moon (Chinese character on right) symbolizes elegance and beauty. While Westerners worship the sun (yang or male) for its power, people in the Far East admire the moon. The moon is the yin or female principle and it is a trusted friend. Chinese parents often name their daughters after the moon, in hope that they will be as lovely as the moon.

The International Childrens Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.

The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also coincided with the conference in Geneva.

June 1 has since been observed as the ICD by numerous countries, especially by Communist countries; in the Western world the ICD is usually celebrated on other days of the year (if at all)， and there is often little public awareness about these celebrations. (See the section on Germany below for further discussions.) Consequently there is sometimes a misperception that June 1 as the ICD was a Communist invention. Nonetheless, in recent years even some groups within the United States started observing the ICD on June 1.

Yesterday was mothers day, because my mother is the most important person to me,I went to a park with her in order to make her happy.

We played boat,shooting game,football game and taked many pictures.

After that,we went to a Italian restaurant to have a delicious dinner.

We felt very happy and my mother said I am the most important person to her too.

Affection, love around, I just suddenly found that: we expect too much of life, grateful for too little.

Gratitude is a kind of good feelings, human is the virtues of the Chinese nation until now. We in the life, we should always have a grateful heart, I thank the parents for support; Thanks to the fire gives us all the happiness and joy...

My favourite festival is Spring Festival. Before Spring Festival we usually clean and decorate our house.

My mother always go shopping and buy some new clothes for me. Sometimes we go to flower fair and buy some beautiful flowers.

During Spring Festival. I can get lucky money from the adults.

And we often get together and have a big meal. I can eat dumplings too. So I like Spring Festival best.

TheDragonBoatFestivaloccurs on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar(阴历). It is one of the three most important of the annual Chinese festivals. The other two are the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.

The story of this colorful festival concerns a famous Chinese scholar-statesman(政治家) named Chu Yuan(屈原) who, some three centuries before the birth of Christ, served the King of Chu(楚怀王)during the Warring States period. As a loyal minister(大臣), Chu Yuan at first enjoyed the full confidence and respect of his sovereign(君主). Eventually, through the intrigues of his rivals, he was discredited(不足信的, 不名誉的).

Chu Yuan was never able to regain(恢复) the emperors favor and on the fifth day of the fifth moon in the year 295 B.C.(Before Christ), at the age of 37, Chu Yuan clasped a stone to his chest and plunged into the Milo River(汨罗江) in the Hunan Province(湖南省).

Respecting the minister as an upright(正直的) and honest man, the people who lived in the area jumped into their boats and rushed out in a vain search for him. This unsuccessful rescue attempt is a part of what the Dragon Boat Festival commemorates every year.

Probably the most exciting and interesting aspect of the festival is the racing of the Dragon Boats. These races not only symbolize the peoples attempt to save Chu Yuan, they also demonstrate the Chinese virtues(美德) of cooperation and teamwork.

Another activity of the Festival is the making and eating of a kind of dumpling called Tzungtzu (粽子). When it became known that Chu Yuan was gone forever, the people, living along the river, threw cooked rice into the water as a sacrifice(祭品) to their dead hero. They wrapped(包) rice in bamboo leaves(粽叶), and stuffed(填满) it with ham, beans, bean paste(豆沙), salted egg yokes, sausages, nuts, and/or vegetables.

To the Chinese the fifth lunar moon is more than just the Dragon Boat Festival. Since antiquity(古代), they have believed that this month is a pestilential and danger-fraught(瘟疫的及充满危险的) period. Children born in this month are said to be difficult to raise(抚养), and people tend to concentrate their efforts during this time attempting to protect their families from ills and misfortune. The day of the Dragon Boat Festival is customarily the time when cleaning and sanitation(卫生) are stressed(着重, 强调). Most families hang calamus(菖蒲) and artemisia(艾草) above their doors, both as a decoration and as a preventive against pestilence.

Ancient folk medicines(民间药物) such as realgar(雄黄酒)are added to the food eaten on the Festival day. This is believed to prevent disease and to promote a healthy digestive system(消化器官). The drinking of realgar in wine supposedly relieves(解除) the effects of poisons accumulated in human bodies.

The sachets (Hsiang Pao in Chinese香包) are very popular with children and they vie(竞争) with each other to collect as many as possible. Children are not the only ones who collect Hsiang Pao. Older people are often given them as a symbol of respect, and they are highly prized because of the intricate(复杂的) and beautiful embroidery(刺绣) that adorns(装饰) them.

The Dragon Boat Festival is an entertaining and enjoyable event. It gives the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural heritage

having a view on these great men in the history of hunmanbeing,they all made full use of their youth time ,to do things that are useful to society,to the whole mankind,and as a cosquence ,they are remembered by later

generations,admired by everyone.so do something in the time of young,although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole word,just for youeself,for those around!

the young is just like blooming flowers,they are so beautiful when blooming,they make people feel happy,but with time passing by,after they withers ,moet people think they are ugly.and so it is the same with young,we are enthusiastic when we are young,then we may lose our passion when getting older and older.so we must treasure it ,dont let the limitted time pass by ,leaving nothing of significance.
