早上，我以最快的速度来到河边观看龙舟比赛。只见两岸的河堤上，人山人海，大家不断地大声喝彩。挤过黑压压的人群，我来到了河边，一条条装饰艳丽的龙舟，披红带彩，威风凛凛，尽收眼底。这个时候，刚好到了比赛最紧张、最刺激的时候，鼓声阵阵里，只见两条龙舟正在火速地前进，宛如离弦之箭。一个个健壮的龙舟手们，舞动着有力的木浆，划出一道道波纹，拍打着河岸。正在这时，一阵子呐喊声响了起来，我也拼命地为看好的一号龙舟加油!很快，一号龙舟率先到达终点。看到结果，我高兴得一蹦三尺高。

看完比赛，回到家，妈妈叫我过去包粽子。我急忙跑过去，看到桌子上有很多包粽子的馅料，有糯米、肥肉、花生和咸蛋黄，还有包粽子用的叶子。妈妈看到我来了，就全部向我介绍了一下，这是糯米、这是花生……介绍完以后，就让我开始学包粽子了。妈妈先把粽叶拿在手中，在叶子上先放上一些糯米，放一些花生，再在花生上面放了一块肥肉、咸蛋黄，放几勺糯米把肉和蛋黄盖住，最后再用叶子包好它，绑上绳子。包好的粽子全都放在锅上蒸。

过了一会儿，香甜的粽子出炉了。还没碰到粽子，我就能感觉到粽子很烫，尽管如此，我还是接过了妈妈递给我的粽子。打开粽子的叶子，我想到了王冕《梅花》中的“只留清气满乾坤”。我忍不住地把粽子一勺勺地往嘴里送去，那味道透着粽叶的清香，真是沁人心脾。

这真是一个美好而快乐的端午节，我希望下一个端午节会更加开心而有意义。

The Dragon Boat Festival is a lunar holiday, occurring on the fifth day of

the fifth lunar month

The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant holiday celebrated in

China, and the one with the longest history. The Dragon Boat Festival is

celebrated by boat races in the shape of dragons. Competing teams row their

boats forward to a drumbeat racing to reach the finish end first.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs to

attempts to rescue the patriotic poet Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned on the fifth

day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo

leaves filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fish could eat the

rice rather than the hero poet. This later on turned into the custom of eating

tzungtzu and rice dumplings.

The celebrations is a time for protection from evil and disease for the

rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy

herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions, and displaying

portraits of evils nemesis, Chung Kuei. If one manages to stand an egg on its

end at exactly 12:00 noon, the following year will be a lucky one.

At the end of the Zhou Dynasty, the area we now know as China had fallen

into a state of fragmentation and conflict. While the Zhou dynasty had ruled for

several centuries, several other states, originally feudal domains, tried to

carve out their own kingdoms. The state of Qin would eventually emerge the

victor and unify all of China under one rule for the first time in history.

Qu Yuan served as minister to the Zhou Emperor. A wise and articulate man,

he was loved by the common people. He did much to fight against the rampant

corruption that plagued the court-- thereby earning the envy and fear of other

officials. Therefore, when he urged the emperor to avoid conflict with the Qin

Kingdom, the officials pressured the Emperor to have him removed from service.

In exile, he traveled, taught and wrote for several years. Hearing that the Zhou

had been defeated by the Qin, he fell into despair and threw himself into the

Milou River. His last poem reads:

Many a heavy sigh I have in my despair,Grieving that I was born in such an

unlucky time.I yoked a team of jade dragons to a phoenix chariot,And waited for

the wind to come,to sour up on my journey

As he was so loved by the people, fishermen rushed out in long boats,

beating drums to scare the fish away, and throwing zong zi into the water to

feed braver fish so that they would not eat Qu Yuans body.

The Modern Dragon Boat Festival started from that time to this day, people

commemorated Qu Yuan through Dragon Boat Races, eating zong zi, and several

other activities, on the anniversary of his death: the fifth day of the fifth

lunar month.

Dragon Boat races are the most exciting part of the festival, drawing

crowds of spectators. Dragon Boats are generally brightly painted and decorated

canoes. Ranging anywhere from 40 to 100 feet in length, their heads are shaped

like open-mouthed dragons, while the sterns end with a scaly tail. Depending on

the length, up to 80 rowers can power the boat. A drummer and flag-catcher stand

at the front of the boat. Before a dragon boat enters competition, it must be

"brought to life" by painting the eyes in a sacred ceremony. Races can have any

number of boats competing, with the winner being the first team to grab a flag

at the end of the course. Annual races take place all over China, Hong Kong,

Macao, Taiwan, and other overseas Chinese communities.

端午节，一个特别的节日，吃粽子，踏青，赛龙舟，挂灯笼，戴彩线……美妙吧？今年的端午节就要到了，我们去哪儿呢？我们干什么呢？有没有好玩的惊喜呢？终于，老爸、老妈告诉我，去松花江畔看赛龙舟，还准备叫上好朋友，感觉爸爸妈妈对我实在是太好了！

我们生怕江边人多没有地方坐，一大早，也就5点钟吧，就冒着凉凉的晨风出发了。哎，我们还是去晚了一点点，松花江边已经人山人海，一条长长的人墙堵在我们眼前，啥也看不着了。我们走呀走呀，找呀找呀，走了很久，找了好久，老爸跟人说了很多感谢话，才终于在人海中挤了一个地方，让我和好朋友坐下。

哈哈，这里真是热闹啊！两架直升机，骄傲地挥着翅膀，沿着松花江在天上轰隆隆地飞过来飞过去，活像两只大大的蜻蜓；美丽的江鸥，在宽阔的松花江上，一会儿飞起来，一会儿落下去，好像在向人们宣告，这是它们的地盘，不许来占领；一条条的三角帆船在江面快速滑过，一艘艘摩托快艇在表演水上舞蹈，它们又转圈又蹦跳的，激起浪花朵朵，真是太酷了……

赛龙舟快开始了，快活的江水已经做好了准备，它们让龙舟骑在自己的背上来进行比赛。咚咚咚，咚咚咚，咚咚咚，一阵阵鼓声响起，果然是赛龙舟开始了，随着鼓声，“一二、一二！一二、一二！一二、一二！”三条长长的龙舟，满满的一排排赛手，他们穿着红红的彩衣，一弯腰一弯腰，整齐用力地划着大桨，龙舟在水上像一条条机灵的海豚在穿梭，像一条条飞起来的飞鱼，呼呼向前、向前，岸上的人们飞舞着节日彩旗，大声呼喊着“加油、加油、加油、加油”，三条龙舟从江上游了出发，飞快地从眼前冲了过去，几条江船挡住了，看不见了，让它们争夺冠军去吧，这是第一组。第二组，第三组，第四组，第五组，一会儿就赛完了，结束了！哎，龙舟太少了。

Qu Yuan , an honest minister who is said to have committed suicide by

drowning himself in a river. Qu was a minister of the State of Chu situated in

present-day Hunan and Hubei provinces, during theWarring States

Period(475-221BC)(战国时期).

He was upright, loyal and highly esteemed for his wise counsel that brought

peace and prosperity to the state.

However, when a dishonest and corrupt prince vilified Qu, he was disgraced

and dismissed from office.

Realizing that the country was now in the hands of evil and corrupt

officials, Qu grabbed a large stone and leapt into the Miluo River on the fifth

day of the fifth month. Nearby fishermen rushed over to try and save him but

were unable to even recover his body.

Thereafter, the state declined and was eventually conquered by the State of

Qin.

端午节是为纪念伟大诗人屈原所定的节日。每到端午节这一天，我们家家户户都会包一种"中山芦兜粽。圆棒形的粗如手臂，用新鲜的竹叶来缚粽，里面放有配料，分有咸粽子和甜粽子两种口味。甜粽子有莲蓉，豆沙，栗蓉，枣泥;咸的呢，就是咸肉啊，烧鸡，蛋黄，干贝，冬菇，绿豆，叉烧等材料。包好的粽子放在一个锅里煮，等粽子熟了以后，会闻到淡淡的竹叶香，清香四溢，弥漫整个厨房。

解开扎藤，剥开粽子叶，甜粽子里藏着红红的粽肉，咸粽子里白白的粽肉都升腾着蒸汽，散发着一种特有的蒸粽香。两粽子用盘子放在一起，活塞两颗亮晶晶的红白宝石，糯米在灯光下晶莹透亮散发着撩人扑鼻的浓郁糯米香，是帮极了!最最令爱吃甜食的我深爱的还是枣红般的甜粽子。端午时节，家里包了一大把粽子，总要送亲戚朋友一大包，一大包的。_人也用自家包的粽子作为谢意送给我们。因此，在端午哪天，我家总有从姨妈，外婆家带来的吃不完的粽子。

石溪久住思端午，馆驿楼前看发机。颦鼓动时雷凌凌，兽头凌处雪微微。冲破突出人齐譀，跃浪争先鸟退飞。向道是龙刚不信，果然夺得锦标归。这是唐朝卢肇写的《竞渡诗》。十分突出了龙舟赛的宏观场面。然而，在我的家乡广州也有在端午节划龙舟的习俗，俗称“扒龙船”。在端午节这一天村里都会组织一次小型的“扒龙船”比赛。家家户户身强力壮的男人都要参加，女的靠一边，只有观看的份儿。五六条窄窄的，瘦长的舟子，前头是一个大大的龙头。十多个人坐在一起，奋力地划桨前进，力争第一个到达终点。尽管下着针儿般的雨点儿，船上的人淋得遍体湿透，分不清是汗还是雨，但是这点是不要紧的。再这关键时刻，赢了比赛才重要。

村里的“扒龙船”太小儿科啦!对我来说一点也不过瘾。要看还是电视直播的，地地道道的龙舟赛。浩大的江面，二十多条“传统龙”参加角逐。长长的龙船上坐满了肌肉鼓鼓的大汉。中间是鼓手，前头的人呐喊助威，声势震天，霸气、威风，震撼。细雨霏霏，江水涌涌。在此，男儿尽显勇敢，坚强本色，了不得!在北方，“扒龙船”的风俗是不常见的，因为北方的河流不如南方多，所以北方的端午节只吃粽子，不如南方的轰轰烈烈，激情热闹。这就是我家故乡端午节的独特之处所在。
