记得小时候，每逢中秋夜外婆家都要按照当地的习俗，举行迎寒和祭月。设大香案，摆上月饼、西瓜、苹果、红枣、李子、葡萄等祭品，其中月饼和西瓜是绝对不能少的。西瓜还要切成莲花状。

2008年，我在部队度过了第一个中秋节。晚上会餐时部队首长说，一定要吃饱吃好不想家。我们每人分到了口味不一样的四块月饼。我不知跑了多少路，到了几个中队去和一起入伍的老乡交换着吃，但仍然有不少月饼放到了发酶出毛，最后被扔进了猪食桶。不是我们这些七尺高的小伙子没有那样大的食量，也不是我们不懂得节约，但我们真的没有吃下去。晚饭吃完月饼，大家一起观赏电视中秋晚会，然后在十点钟按时就寝，第二天早晨整理内务，大部分人的枕巾被泪水打湿。当夜，我有两个小时的岗哨，我看到头顶的月亮如一块闪亮的镜片，在天上无声的飘动，我知道那是家乡父老乡亲对我的期望，是父母亲对我的挂念;
