Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

那说起来已是几年前的陈年往事了，至今却依旧记忆犹新。

留了一个儿子。后来有一年农历的八月十五日，那孩子看到同村的小伙伴们在村头桂花树下玩耍，也想过去凑凑热闹，哪知道不但没人理他，还骂他是个没妈、没教养的野孩子。他委屈极了，便号啕大哭。哭声惊动了天神吴刚，吴刚便悄悄拿出登云鞋，对孩子说：“如果你想妈的时候，就穿鞋圆月下吧。”

董永的儿子在月光下穿上了登云鞋，飞到了天宫，七仙女见了自己的儿子，又悲又喜，便亲手把嫦娥送的桂花蜜糖，拌上花生米，核桃仁，做成馅儿，按圆月的样子，做成香甜的仙饼，给儿子吃。玉皇大帝知道此事后非常生气，命令麒麟把董永的儿子驮回人间。

Chinese New Years Eve  known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

Chinese New Year  the longest and most important festivity in the Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year  itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year  a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.

Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year  considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper  a feast with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next morning, children will greet their parents by whing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year tradition  a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wh peace and happiness for everyone.

Although the Chinese calendar traditionally does not use continuously numbered years, outside China its years are often numbered from the reign of Huangdi. But at least three different years numbered 1 are now used by various scholars, making the year 2009 "Chinese Year" 4707, 4706, or 4646.

Often, with split second tinting, they must dodge trees, stumps, and rocks——or find themselves suddenly sprawling in the snow. If they have more than average skill, they can sall through the air in breathtaking leaps and jumps that bring excitement to the onlookers as well. True, there is danger in this excitement,but that is a risk the youth enjoys. Furthermore, skiing is healthful. It provides exercise, often very strenuous as the skiers trudge up a mountain path or work their way on skis up a slope of deep snow. The best of skiers know that they need strong muscles to successfully control their skis, so they exercise to keep themselves physically fit. Another desirable feature is thecompanionship that usually develops wherever skiers gather. Friendships grow quickly on the slopes and in the usual nearby

shelter where the skiers find food, warmth, and rest. Their experiences of the day and their youthfulness easily draw these people together in happy fellowship.

The earth is our only home to this day, and many people know that "there is only one earth, we should love it", but some people just talk about it and do nothing. They dont know that some very small actions can protect the environment -- by sorting out the garbage and using the battery to choose the rechargeable battery. Plant more trees in your spare time...

时间过得真快啊！转眼间已经是中秋节了。我刚走进金笔作文的教室里，就听见了一阵欢呼声，到底是怎么回事呢？跟着我去看看吧。

一上课，只见老师从一个盒子里拿出了两块又大又圆的月饼，同学们看着口水都要流下来了。月饼在灯光的照耀下，显得金灿灿的，月饼的表面雕刻着很精致的图案。看到这里，我第一时间想到了做月饼的师傅该有多么的艰辛啊。仔细一看，月饼上面还镶嵌着“镜湖工厂”几个字。我轻轻一闻，一股浓浓的香味扑鼻而来，顿时，我的口水止不住地涌出来。我心想：这个月饼真香啊，一定很好吃！

正在这时，老师仿佛看出了我们的心思，她把月饼放到了一个大盘子里，“嗖嗖嗖”几声之后，两大块月饼就被切成了几小块儿。“哇！老师的刀功真厉害啊！”同学们不约而同地赞叹起来。老师给每人发了一小块儿，我拿着月饼仔细观察了一下，里面的馅大概有6种：花生米、瓜子仁、冰糖、黑芝麻、葡萄干和红绿色的果脯丝。原来这就是老师说的五仁月饼呀！我咬了一口，太香了，月饼在冰糖的甜腻中还带有一点酸，而且皮薄馅香、香甜可口、甜而不腻。

中秋节是一个团圆的节日，今天我们能和老师、同学们一起吃月饼，真的太幸福了。祝老师和同学们开开心心，幸福团圆！

Congratulations on your passing CET-4. You have set me an example because I have to learm from you. In past two years, you have been working so hard at English that you have lost about 10 kilograms of your weight. You recited every CET-4 word; you learned some of the sample writings by heart; you slept less because of this test. I really appreciate your diligence.
