NO。

NO。

NO。

NO。

A Happy Family

I have a happy family. Though there is only a little furniture in my home and everything in the rooms seems rather disorderly, I love my home very much.

My father is an engineer, nearly fifty years old. As a Party member, quite often he works late into the night. He even forgets himself when he is reading. Once when having supper, I found that the soup tasted watery. It soon became clear that my father, deep in his reading, had forgotten to put salt in the soup.

I have a kind mother. She is a primary school teacher. She loves her pupils and her job very much and puts all her heart into her work. All our clothes are made by tailors, for she is too busy to sew for us. As a housewife, she has to do almost all the housework. So she is the busiest one in our family.

We all keep a lot of books and we love reading. During our leisure time, reading is our main hobby. Evening is the happiest hour in our family. We usually sit in my parents room, reading and discussing everything were interested in.

I love my family. It not only gives me much happiness and warmth but also teaches me how to be a real man.

Firstly, it is important to listen to the teacher carefully in class and take notes so that you can go over your lessons later.Secondly, try to practise speaking Chinese as much as possible out of class and write down whatever you hear to accunulate more commonly-used words and idioms.Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. And try to communicate with local people to develop your listening ability.Last but not least, you should organize your time and do lots of exercise.

I think the most important thing is that you should believe in yourself.I’m sure that you will suceed after your hard work.

It is difficult for people to achieve professional success without sacrificing important aspects of a fulfilling personal life.

Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion slated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

Are professional success and a fulfilling personal life mutually exclusive? Probably not, although it is more difficult today to achieve both.

Undeniably, todays professionals must work long hours to keep their heads above water, let alone to get ahead in life financially. This is especially true in Japan, where cost of living, coupled with corporate culture, compel professional males to all but abandon their families and literally to work themselves to death. While the situation here in the states may not be as critical, the two-income family is now the norm, not by choice but by necessity.

However, our societys professionals are taking steps to remedy the problem. First, they are inventing ways such as job sharing and telecommuting to ensure that personal life does not take a back seat to career. Second, they are setting priorities and living those hours outside the workplace to their fullest. In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

Dear students,

As we know, safety is the most important thing in our lives. So, we should

try our best to make sure we are safe. We mustn’t bring restricted knives or

things to our school because these things may cause serious problems. Do not

have a bath in rivers or ponds by ourselves without our parents’ permission.

And, we should be friendly to others so fighting is strongly banned. Make sure

that we should always pay attention to the traffic on our way to school or home.

Furthermore, if we meet some emergency, we must call for help from the police or

our teachers. In a word, following these safeties rules above can make us live

in peace.

Dear Santa Claus,

Hello!

My name is Yang Yue from China. I am a lively and cheerful 10-year-old

girl. I hope you like me.

Listening to the merry Christmas song outside the window, looking at the

Christmas tree decorated with colorful lights as dazzling as the seven colors of

the rainbow, I have had many questions in my heart: we do not have a chimney,

and where did you come in to send me gifts? Do you have any special magic

power?

But most of all I would like to ask you, "How did you know we were looking

for something?" I remember one Christmas Eve when I was very fond of a pink

magic wand. On its pink staff, there are many colorful roses, and on top there

is a beautiful heart with a white ribbon. I cant put it down. I really want it.

But the parents did not agree to buy it for me. I was so sad that I reluctantly

went home. But, the next day early in the morning, wait me to open a sock to

see, inside unexpectedly miraculously put a and I "yesterday" see exactly the

same magic wand! Santa, did you give it to me? Thank you so much!

This string of surprise is all brought by my "never met" you, you are

really "do good not to leave a name" ah!

Santa Claus, secretly tell you a little secret: at that time, I do not know

your identity. But now I know who you are. And through these years of

observation, in front of the answer to the riddle was also revealed by me. In

fact, you have been in my side! Today is Christmas again, I wish you:

Merry Christmas!
