Lying at the center of Beijing， the Forbidden City， called Gu Gong， in Chinese， was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum， it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape， it is the world‘s largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court， fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987， the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407， the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family， it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However， there is one exception. Wenyuange， the royal library， has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

我，不愿随波逐流。在《未选择的路》中弗罗斯特曾写过：“黄色的树林里分出两条路，可惜我不能同时去涉足。”“而我选择了人迹更少的一条，从此决定了我一生的道路。”只融于大众的我便成为了实实在在的平凡人。我不愿去走别人庸俗的老路，去过跟别人同样庸俗的生活。在偷觑他人的同时，也否定了自己。

我，爱古典文学。我认为，我们是龙的传人，应该继承和发扬龙的传统才是。此外，我还喜欢诗歌。因为诗能陶冶人的高尚情操。每当我心情不好时，拿出《唐诗三百首》或《宋词鉴赏》，我就会马上抛弃不快，沉浸到“举杯邀明月”的意境中去了┄┄我最爱读《红楼梦》。我为宝玉黛玉的爱情悲剧伤心，我厌恶薛宝钗，明明是她偷听了小红和坠儿的谈话，却居心叵测，把这事推到黛玉身上-——多么虚伪、多么卑鄙!你如果也有同感的话，那可真是“英雄所见略同”了!

我，要做自己。齐白石老先生曾说过;“学我者生，似我者死。”走不出前人的框架，自然也就不会有自己的天地。当流行泡沫小说时，我感觉那时在浪费时间，当流行网络游戏时，我感觉那是在虚度青春。要做自己，看清真实的我，拿出十二分的信心，告诉自己：“我就是我，凭什么跟他一样?!”抛掉那些人为的浮华雕饰，亮出自己的王牌，追求自己的个性，做我自己，最好!

我生性好动，是个开朗活泼的孩子。我酷爱体育运动，尤其是球类这一方面的。比如：足球、篮球、羽毛球、乒乓球……也由于开朗活泼的缘故，我很爱笑，一笑起来，那双小小的眼睛就眯成了一条缝。

这就是我，一个开朗活泼的男孩，愿为目标而付出努力的人。

Hello！大家好，我叫王晓，现在在xx市xx小学五年级学习。

我有一张圆圆的脸，一双乌黑的眼睛，短头发。我今年12岁了，不小了吧？却总也脱不掉那满脸的稚气。

我的爱好就是爱看书。说起看书，我还有一段小故事呢！那天，我看见我的一个同学买了一本《苦儿流浪记》，这本书我已经向往了许久，可是爸爸始终没有答应我的要求。我的自尊心很强，从小到大几乎没有央求过别人，这次，我硬着头皮，只好向他去借。谁知，他说可以是可以，可得拿动物图书跟与交换，我只好把书给他，向他要了那本《苦儿流浪记》。

我的缺点就是爱掉“金豆豆”。咳，你可别笑，这也是我的爱好哩！养的宠物死了，哭！受同学欺负，哭！考试不好，哭！看书看到感人处，鼻子一酸，又落下两排“大珍珠”。不过，我丝毫不觉得难为情，古人云：“当笑则笑，当哭则哭，无须掩饰。”

要说我不爱的，就数运动了。体育成绩自然不好了。三年级时，垒球扔个四五米顶天了，成绩还没过70分。不过，这个缺点，以后我要改。

我这个人，不仅爱哭爱笑，爱读书爱剪纸，还爱交朋友。你愿意和我交个朋友吗？

看！镜子里有一个两分调皮三分可爱外加一点点小粗心的女孩，只见她：泼了墨般浓黑的眉毛下忽闪着一双炯炯有神的大眼睛，高而挺的鼻子下长着一张能说会道的樱桃小嘴。一条马尾随着一步两跳的步子在后脑勺左右甩动。这个女孩就是我——————胡xx。

我的热心肠可是远近闻名。记得上学期开学时我在学校的小卖部看到一个正在哭泣小弟弟，看着他不断掉落的“金豆豆”我情不自禁地跑过去问道：“小弟弟，你怎么了？”不问还好一问这个受了委屈的小家伙哭得更厉害了，他一边抽泣一边说道：“姐姐，我把妈妈早上给我买早点的钱掉了，今天没早饭吃了。”说完他又呜呜地哭了起来。“咳，没事没事，别哭了。”我一边安慰他一边自觉地把手上的早点分了一半给他，笑着说道：“快吃吧！”小弟弟破涕为笑，我也觉得帮助了需要帮助的人很开心。

我虽然热心但有时却很粗心。考试时我会把15看成50，“具”里面少写一横线，tow写成too……反正粗心像一颗定时炸弹随时埋伏在我的学习中，有多少次100分离我擦肩而过我可是追悔莫及啊。妈妈笑称我为“马大哈”我可再也不想要这个美称了，进入五年级我一定要努力把自己的心搓搓细一点再细一点。

我的特点已经说了还没介绍我的特长呢！其实我是个兴趣广泛的人喜欢跳舞，唱歌，画画有时还编那么几首小诗歌。我在跳舞上可是最有成绩了，别看我才五年级我可是从幼儿园就开始学跳舞了，民族，现代偶尔还扭一点拉丁。“小小舞蹈家”、“小舞星”、“小海鸥舞手”等等可都是我得到的头衔。上学期在校舞蹈队芮老师的带领下我们的舞蹈还在市级比赛中获了奖呢。

新学期开始了我又结实了新老师和新同学，但愿大家会喜欢我这个活泼上进，积极乐观的女孩，我愿意和同学们健康快乐地成长，新的号角已经吹响，伙伴们，let’sgo！
