故宫是北京十大旅游景点之一。据说天上有紫薇星垣，是天帝的居所，皇帝以天帝之子自居，因此称自己的宫殿为紫薇宫。皇宫又是百姓的禁地称禁城，故名紫禁城。今天我们称紫禁城为故宫意为过去的皇宫。故宫是我国文物收藏最多的博物馆。来故宫游览当然要欣赏丰富多彩的建筑艺术和陈列于室内的珍贵文物了。

我们先到了广场，广场大极了！广场上有五座精巧的汉白玉拱桥。桥下有一条金水河，形似玉带，漂亮极了。

站在广场上，抬头一看，一座金碧辉煌的宫殿耸立在眼前，黄色的琉璃瓦熠熠发光。这就是太和殿。往太和殿内一看，太和殿内金光熠熠的宝座，坐落在正中的须弥坐式楠木平台上，宝座周围是六根沥粉蟠龙金柱，气势磅礴。

北京故宫是依照中国古代星象学说，紫微垣(即北极星)位于中天，乃天帝所居，天人对应，所以故宫又称紫禁城。它始建于明成祖永乐四年，曾是明清两朝二十四位皇帝的皇宫，至今已有600多年历史。它是世界上现存规模最大、保存最为完整的木质结构古建筑之一，于1987年被列为世界文化遗产。

进入午门，便看到位于太和门前的广场，5座单孔拱券式金水桥。其造型秀美，同雄伟壮观的午门城楼和金碧辉煌的太和殿相映衬，引人入胜。这是紫禁城内最大，也是最壮观，最华美的一组石桥。桥的两侧有镇水兽“趴蝮”的守护，以此灵兽镇于桥顶两侧，面向河水，有永避水害，长存永安之意。因其嘴大，肚子里能盛非常多的水，所以也多用于作为建筑物的排水口。三大殿玉石栏杆的排水口就可见“趴蝮”的身影。

再往前行，便是以太和殿、中和殿、保和殿三大殿为中心的外庭，是皇帝举行朝会的地方，也称为“前朝”。这里是封建皇帝行使权力、举行盛典的地方。古代传说中的神兽“角端”就住在故宫太和殿的龙椅旁，据说它通四方语言，而且只伴左右，专为英明帝王传书护驾。内廷的中心是乾清宫、交泰殿、坤宁宫，统称后三宫，是皇帝和皇后居住的正宫。其后为御花园。后三宫两侧排列着东、西六宫，是后妃们居住休息的地方。每个宫殿的房顶上都有“脊兽”，其功能最初是为了保护木栓和铁钉，防止漏水和生锈，对屋脊的连接起固定和支撑作用。后来脊兽发展出了装饰功能，并有严格的等级意义，不同等级的建筑所安放的脊兽数量和形式都有严格限制。太和殿上的脊兽是最多的(10个)，也是唯一能见到“行什”的地方，这在中国宫殿建筑史上是独一无二的，彰显了其至高无上的重要地位。

穿过御花园，出神武门，便结束了故宫探秘之旅。大怪兽是真是实存在故宫各处的，它们都是祥瑞的象征，更是中华民族文化的传承。故宫给我们留下的不仅有古代皇帝的宫殿、价值深远的博物馆或者是一间间的大房子，更是一个能让人用心去发现的有趣地方，那里仍然还有很多神奇的传说等待我们去发掘，更多的大怪兽等待着我们去发现。北京故宫期待着我们再次光临。

今天，我和爸爸、杨叔叔、熊伯伯等人一起坐火车去北京游玩，一下车我就感觉北京空气新鲜多了，刚来到这还因为空气差别太大而让嗓子哑了好几天呢，不愧是首都啊，啧啧！就是好啊！

我们走出铁路站，旅行社的伯伯就来接我们了，我发现，这儿的人们可守交通就则了，只要看到红灯，不管有何急事都会耐心的等待，所以北京的车祸大多只在车多的时候发生，人多并不要紧，真厉害。和怀化简直就是天壤之别，无论是环境、气温、面积和建筑等都是比怀化好，我们来到北京的第一天首先就要去故宫，那可是皇宫啊！进入故宫，我们首先看到的就是午门，导游阿姨告诉我：“电视剧中大都说是要把犯人推出午门斩首，可午门是皇帝家的大门，怎能杀犯人呢？其实是把大臣押出去打板子。”走进故宫，导游阿姨告诉我：“这地砖可厚了，这殿台有多高，砖就有多厚，因为怕人挖地道刺杀皇帝。”后来我最喜欢的景点就是御花园了，这有皇上以方先代表的每个季节命名的四个凉亭，比如万春亭等。除了四亭，还有许多的古树，有一种树像现在的发财树，是两颗大树被人工交叉在一起，代表夫妻恩爱，白头偕老的意思，那还有许多石洞、奇石……

在这御花园前头还有三个大殿，最大的是太和殿，它是节日文武百官、皇上娱乐的地方，只许四品以上的官员才能入内，在殿门口还有一个华表呢，其他的我就不多说了，明天还要去圆明园呢！

True friends always come to you when their help is in need.They try their best to help you without thinking what they can get from it. This invariably wins them love and respect from otbers, for they devote themselves to the happiness of others.

Up to the time of my writing this article, Aero has been helping me with my selecting the courses with great effort. He is a friendly and zealous guy. I think he has been liked by others since long ago because of his characteristics. He is always brisk,enthusiastic, energetic and he is smiling no matter when or where you see him. However, I like him for some other reason.It seems that between us there is a special way to communicate and its not the usual way through which we communicate such as words and gestures. He has always been a friend of mine be cause I like the way he acts and lives and the way we communicate.

One morning a week ago, he came to me and asked if he could be of help. Actually I had been worrying about my course of this semester for days since I hadnt got any English courses yet! Still I was totally caught off guard by Aeros offer though he had always been kind. I thought it was my own business and it had never occurred to me that some other individual would offer to help with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness.  The very next day, I got a cough and it later turned out to be a four-day high fever. In those days, I was extremely weak and lay in bed all day long and hardly had any strength even to eat. I lost the power to keep an eye on the possible vacancies of the English courses ever since I got a high fever. I began to regret declining Aeros offer. Just at that moment, Aero called,asking about my health and told me to have a good rest, saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of selecting my English courses for me. Now I am writing this article as the homework of this writing course and Id like to re emphasize that it is all due to my friends effort that I have finally made it.

I was really grateful to him when he called and offered to help and it is hard to express my gratitude with words.  All I want to say about it is that at that moment, I realized that he had offered to help not because it made him feel he was important but because he meant business. Hes a man of integrity. I am proud of having such a friend.

今年暑假，我怀着快乐的心情来到了故宫。进入午门，绕过太和门，就来到了广场。这里据说是当年百官朝拜的地方。

走过广场，踏上石阶，便来到了故宫中最大最雄伟的宫殿——太和殿。太和殿规模宏大，橙黄色的琉璃瓦闪闪发光。琉璃瓦屋顶下，有几圈刻着龙凤、祥云的花纹、朱红的宫墙，看出了当时皇族至高无上的权力。透过窗子，隐隐约约地看到了一座龙椅。我看着太和殿，眼中浮现出了当年的情景：在皇帝登基的那天，大臣们站在大广场，为新皇帝进行九拜之礼，而皇帝则安坐在龙椅上，接受文武百官的朝拜。一阵风吹来，把我从想象中拉回现实。我离开了太和殿，向别的地方走去。

绕过了中和殿、保和殿后往东走就是九龙壁了。九龙壁中的九条龙惟妙惟肖，姿态不一，虽然经过了几百年的风雨侵蚀，仍然栩栩如生。

我离开了九龙壁，再往北走。经过宁寿宫，便来到宁寿花园。宁寿花园里有一个大湖，湖水清澈见底，就像一面镜子在那里为旁边种着的许多种类不同的花木记住它们的美丽容貌，有牡丹、梅花、桃花，还有许多叫不出名字的……花园里还有几座凉亭，坐在里面，可以休息、喝茶，欣赏这美丽的风景。还有几座用石头砌成的小假山等等，漂亮极了。

故宫的景色壮观雄伟，说也说不尽，希望你有机会也去细细游赏。

圣诞节那天，天格外寒冷。但寒冷的天气丝毫也挡不住圣诞节快乐的脚步。街上的商店门前都摆上了美丽的圣诞树，超市里的员工也戴上了可爱的圣诞帽。看着这些，我们这些小鬼心里乐开了花。因而，举办一场别开生面的圣诞庆祝会的想法便油然而生。

经过策划，下午我们在黑板上画上了大胡子圣诞老人，在窗户上喷上了洁白的雪花，还在教室中央放上了一棵缀满星星的圣诞树。同学们围着圣诞树转啊，跳啊，可高兴了，教室里顿时洋溢出节日喜庆的气氛。

好不容易盼到了晚会的到来。第一个节目是笛子合奏《友谊歌》。笛声悠扬动听，使我们也忍不住在观众席上轻轻吟唱起来。不知不觉，这个节目在同学们雷鸣般的掌声中结束了。接着，我们连忙喷出美丽的雪花彩带迎接着下一个节目——笑话。表演者是高个子龚关和捣蛋鬼张振宇。他们风趣幽默的对话和滑稽的动作表演，惹得我们个个捧腹大笑。

晚会在欢乐的气氛中进行着，演员们使出全身解数，来博得观众的笑声和掌声。观众们个个笑得脸红通通的，巴掌都拍痛了。晚会接近尾声时，我们全班同学拿出了最后的秘密武器——五颜六色的花瓣，抛向空中，抛向演员们……

看着这些美丽的花瓣，我想：在这个特殊的日子里，圣诞老人不仅成了我们最可爱的伙伴，而且是位和平的使者!
