端午节又称端阳节、重五节、五月节、女儿节等，是为了纪念屈原而流传下来的节日。当时，屈原是楚国的大臣，但在朝廷受到小人陷害，皇上听不下他的建议，还将他流放了出去。屈原看到人民过着穷苦的日子，自己却无法帮助他们改变，心里非常难过，写下了绝笔《怀沙》后，跳进汩罗江而死。人们为了不让鱼虾等吃屈原的尸体，便将粽子投入江河，后来便有了端午节吃粽子的习俗。

端午节还有很多其它习俗，如挂鸡蛋、插艾草、赛龙舟、饮雄黄酒、佩香囊等等。我当然最喜欢热热闹闹的赛龙舟！龙舟非常漂亮，狭长、细窄，船头是龙头，船尾有龙尾，远看这龙舟就像真的龙一样，漂浮在清澈明亮的小河上。黄色和红色是主色调，大家分好组，坐在上面比赛，锣鼓声，呐喊声，热闹极了。据说，这样就会把水里的鱼虾给吓走，从而表示对屈原的思念。

农历五月初五端午节。是纪念屈原以身殉国，填入汩罗江的日子。为了不让鱼虾们把屈原身体上的肉吃掉。人们就用粽叶包裹着糯米投入江里，并且人们也要吃粽子、咸鸭蛋，在家门前挂菖蒲和艾草，人们还要举行赛龙舟。

首先是包粽子，要把竹叶洗干净，在热水中泡软，在准备好绿豆、鸡蛋黄、肉等材料做馅。再把长长的竹叶折叠，围拢做成一个窝，中间放进配好的糯米和粳米，包出棱角。然后把馅放在米里，和在一起揉均，最后把竹叶包着的粽子做四个角的形状。包粽子最后一道工序是：用棉线绳包好粽子，不然粽子在煮的过程中就会松开。把包好的粽子放进锅里，水要漫过粽子，用猛火煮，大约一个小时后，改用文火煮三十分钟。等粽子熟了以后，就会闻到淡淡的竹叶香，清香四溢。

然后是划龙舟，千姿百态的各式彩龙在江面游弋，有的舒展着优美的身姿，有的摇头摆尾，有的神采奕奕。当划龙舟比赛开始时，各色各样造型的蛟龙如箭里弦，欲争群龙之首。此时，健儿们狠劲猛划，奋力冲刺，两岸滚起阵阵加油的声浪。

今年的端午节前两天妈妈就带我在超市买好了做粽子的材料，有粽叶。糯米。红枣。花生米。蜜枣，妈妈说南方人还爱吃肉粽子，可我们北方人还是吃甜的比较多。回到家妈妈就把糯米粽叶泡上了，第二天把准备好的材料都拿出来，在粽叶里放糯米塞蜜枣花生，还有葡萄干和煮熟后的碎鸡蛋粒，包好后用细细的绳子扎好，就可以放到锅里煮了，我看的有趣自己也想试试，妈妈给了我一个粽叶，我学着妈妈的样子，可简单的动作到我手上却显得那么笨拙，等我勉强用绳子拴好一个粽子，妈妈笑开了评价说像是被五花大绑的灰太狼，外表挺坏芯料很足。煮开锅不到一个小时屋里就都是粽子的香气了，我馋的往厨房跑了几次，妈妈说粽子讲究凉吃，还要一家人在一起吃才更香，晚上爸爸和妹妹抢着把我的灰太狼粽子吃掉了，还说比妈妈包的都好吃，我心里甜滋滋的，比得一百分都开心。

看，这样既能动手自己做又能吃到好吃的粽子，我怎么会不喜欢呢。

When I was picking up my stuff after school， I saw a dog staring at me at the school gate .I was kind of scary. I thought the dog would bite me when I was going out. But it was not. 记得有一年，我在老家江西赣州过春节。大年初一的晚上，我和爸爸去放孔明灯。我们去买了灯，并且在上面写上自己的愿望，然后就用打火机点燃了，火苗“呼”的一声从洞里冲出来，孔明灯慢慢膨胀起来，我们把它放飞，灯徐徐地飞了起来，越飞越高，只见夜空中一盏盏灯像一颗颗星星一样闪闪发亮。带着人们无数的愿望，我也感觉飞了起来。

说起春节，还有这样一个传说呢！从前，在一个山谷里住着一只叫着“年”的怪兽，每到新年的晚上，它就跑出来伤害人畜，村民都很害怕。这时一位仙人说：“这个怪兽害怕红色的东西和响声。”人们马上买了红对联贴在门上，到了晚上，“年”又来了，它一见红色，听到锣鼓声，吓得赶紧逃跑了。从此以后，每到春节，家家户户都贴对联，放鞭炮，人们再也不用担心“年”来捣蛋了！
