Mike spoke English slowly and carefully, so we could understand what he said. We talked about our English study for about an hour. Before he left our school, I asked him in English, "What do you think of our school?" He answered with a smile, "Oh, its wonderful!"

Even picked up a piece of trash, head down and lifted the old man across the road, on the bus seat... This is all we lift a finger.

After I read this book, I sighed deeply. I hope we can in our society, be like hui from country society. I would like to pay, starts from me, starts from the minor matter, starts from now, make the society a little more sunshine, a little less dark.

"We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas"Have you heard that song? Yup! Its Christmas time! This Christmas, I stayed with my "host family"1. It was an amazing experience to see how a typical American family would celebrate the biggest western festival of the year.

Christmas, like our Spring Festival, has a meaning in itself. Christmas Day, which is on December 25, is the birthday of Jesus Christ--the son of God. Thats why it is called Christmas. On that day, Christians would get together with their families to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. But nowadays, the religious meaning of Christmas has become less emphasized. To many families, it is just a time of family reunion and the ever-exciting present-giving.

Our school had been on winter vacation since December 11. I stayed at my friend, Stephen Stapczynskis house--his family was my "host family". Although Christmas was still more than ten days ahead, the festive spirit had already been teeming everywhere. The Christmas tree had already been set up, and on every windowsill, there were Christmas lights. On the first day I arrived at their house, Stephen and I helped Mrs. Stapczynski put decorations on the Christmas tree. The tree looked so nice with all the lights on and the beautiful ornaments dangling from its branches.

As Christmas came closer, the whole neighborhood had made preparations too. Some people would hold parties at their houses, inviting all their neighbors to come. So every night, if you went out, you would see a long line of cars parked in front of some house--a partys on!

Whats more, the Christmas decorations that some people put on their windows and in gardens were just amazing. On one night, we went out in our car for a "tour of lights". There was one street that was so famous for its lights that it got its way into the local paper. We had a hard time finding the well-hidden street, but it turned out to be worth the effort. Lights shone brightly in front of nearly every house, on trees, bushes, doors, windowseverywhere, taking different shapes, making it seem almost like daytime. Huge inflatable figures in the front gardens were waving to us: there were Santa Clauses2, of course, chuckling merrily away; and there were also other Christmas figures, like Rudolph3--the red-nosed reindeer--with his red nose gleaming ever so brightly; even Bart Simpson--a character in the famous comedy The Simpsons--had joined the jolly party, wearing a Santas hat. The street set off a lot of "ooh"s and "aah"s inside the car.4 When we left, there was a line of cars in the street, all there to see the lights.

Christmas is the time for exchanging presents. Stephen and Niko had been thinking about their Christmas lists (a list of things they wish "Santa"to give them for Christmas) for a long time. I didnt want to ask for anything, but the Stapczynskis were so kind to "force"me make one list as well (Mr. Stapczynski told me if I didnt make one he would chop off my legs). So I wrote down a couple of things that I would like to have, and gave the list to them--sorry, my mistake--to Santa.

Finally, Christmas Eve came. There was a special Christmas service at the church at 6 p.m. It was certainly a very interesting experience for me. The priest started the service reading and sang out extractions from a holy book--The Divine Liturgy. For several times, we would stand up and pray.

Sometimes, the church choir would start singing. The atmosphere was very quiet and holy. Then there was a ceremony called "The Receiving Communion". People waited in line to "receive"a spoonful of food from the priest. It was a very special Christmas tradition. The food was made from bread and wine. The bread represents the body of Jesus, and the wine represents his blood. After this ceremony, the priest had a speech. He reminded us not to forget the true meaning of Christmas, and let Jesus really live inside us--that is, to love the people around us wholeheartedly. I think that no matter if you are a Christian or not, this principle should be part of our lives. After the priest finished his speech, the part that I enjoyed most came: Christmas carols5. Christmas carols are songs that people sing at Christmas, such as "Jingle Bells", "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", "Silent Night"and so on. Some were very merry, others sounded quite holy, but all of them were beautiful. I closed my eyes, and let all the peacefulness and happiness that were in the songs flow through me. What a feeling it was!

We went to sleep earlier that day for we had to get up early on Christmas Day to open our presents. Sure enough, when I was still half-way during a sweet dream, Stephen burst into my room and told me to get up and open presents. There were a huge pile of presents under the Christmas tree, and there was such a mysterious mist shrouding them that made me eager to see what they all were. So one by one, we went through all the presents. Mr. and Mrs. Stapczynski had bought me everything I had written on my Christmas list--and a lot more! I got music CDs, film DVDs, clothes, books I was very happy, and I didnt know how to express my appreciation for what they had done for me.

Stephen and Niko had gotten a lot of presents too, and they had already been trying out their new games!

In the afternoon, we went to Mrs. Stapczynskis brother, Uncle Stans house. They had prepared a marvelous meal for us. A lot of their friends and relatives also came. I saw Stephen and Nikos grandparents, Yiayia and Papou (words of grandma and grandpa in Greek--Mrs. Stapczynskis parents came from Greece, so they like the boys using Greek words to call them). They were very kind to me, and treated me just like one of their family members. We had a very luxurious meal, consisting of turkey, beef, pork, and all sorts of other food.

After the meal, when all the stomachs were full and everyone was feeling drowsy6 from all the food, we just sat around the table and chatted, just like what we Chinese people do at the Spring Festival. After all, Christmas, like the Spring Festival, is a time for us to get away from our busy lives, a time for family gathering, and a time to have some fun.

Even making Halloween food should be like casting a spell or mixing a magic drink。 In Britain， people drink "Witchs Mix"， made with apple， orange， grape and berry juice。 Children also enjoy "Halloween Worms，" made from egg noodles。 And how do you like the sound of "Eye—Balls"？ Dont worry， theyre made with scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice cream， shaped like human eyes。 Skeleton—shaped cookies are equally popular。

A well—known Halloween tradition is to make lanterns from pumpkins， called "Jack—o—lanterns"。 First， the inside of the pumpkin is removed。 Then， a face is cut into the pumpkin， traditionally a smiling， devil face。 Finally a candle is placed inside， and the lantern is put at the front of the house to keep evil spirits away。

Besides pumpkin cutting， "apple—bobbing" is another popular game。 Several apples are put floating in water in a big bucket。 Children have their hands tied behind their backs。 They have to try to pick the apples out of the water using only their mouths。 Of course， people get very wet and it is very funny to watch。

Send Healing To Yourself

Most people, when given an opportunity to aid someone in need, are eager to do whatever they can to be of service. Those of us who have chosen to make healing the world a vocation are grateful for any occasion to send light and love to people in our immediate spheres of influence and beyond. As we apply our passion and our principles to this altruistic endeavor, we often forget to send ourselves the same bountiful gifts of wellness, though we ourselves may be in dire need of it. We overlook ourselves, not because we forget, but because we fear that focusing on the self is an indicator of selfishness. It is moreover much more difficult to heal oneself than to heal others because the seeds of uncertainty are more easily banished when we act on anothers behalf. When we send healing light to ourselves, it is important that our intentions and our self-trust be stronger than ever to counteract doubt. As we bless ourselves in this way, we serve as both an active channel and a passive destination. This should not change the way we interact with the valuable energy we wish to receive, however. Though we may be tempted to consciously direct or influence the manner in which light impacts our lives because we know ourselves most intimately, we should not try to control its path. When we draw the white light of protection and purity to our bodies, taking it into ourselves with each inhalation, our belief in the fact that it will naturally move toward areas of dysfunction will ensure that it flows through every muscle and organ. And when we fill our spaces with this light, our environments are cleared of all the negative energy that can sap our strength and our spirit. Surrounded inside and out with healing light, we feel safe and protected, healthy, relaxed, and content just as those who regularly receive such loving gifts from us do. If you sincerely believe that there is a part of yourself that exists independently of upset and illness, the love and light you send yourself will help you connect with it. You will see the affirmative impact of this connection almost immediately when you include yourself in the recipients of your healing gifts, as lifes frustrations become more tolerable and your bliss becomes ever more palpable.

参观加州大学UCLA

刚下飞机还没好好休息，又帅又酷的陈导就带领我们马不停蹄地赶往UCLA(加州大学洛杉机分校)。首先印入眼睑的是一个大型足球场，据陈导介绍，我最喜爱的皇家马德里曾在此训练过呢!!!不知不觉中我发现我们已进入了校园区，也难怪，美国的大学是没有围墙的。UCLA的吉祥物是一只熊，名叫BRUINS，既可爱又十分庄严，它站在AckermanUnion的门口。学校的报纸中作DAILYBRUIN，学生证叫BRUINCARD，网络系统又叫BRUINONLINE，BRUINS也象征了UCLA学生们的能力和力量。接着我们又参观了图书馆，里面的馆藏非常丰富，包括《哈利波特》等这类我们喜爱的图书。结束加州大学的参观旅程，我们驱车前往着名的星光大道

星光大道之旅

大约经过一个小时的车程，我们到达了星光大道，在我的想像中星光大道应该很壮观，很气派，到了才发现并不是我想像的那样，不过是在一条街道的两边“刻”了星星，如果不是明星闪耀，这条街道一点也不起眼。我们跟随陈导首先来到了柯达剧院门前，每年的奥斯卡颁奖典礼都在这里举行。我率先找到吴宇森导演的“星星”，他的“星”和其它星有些不同，他的名字刻的是中文而不是英文，十分显人眼目，随后我们又找到了李小龙、成龙和汤姆克鲁斯的“星”。对了，还有一颗特别的“星”，它在墙上，没错，他就是打不倒的拳王泰森的“星星”，由于泰森在职业生涯的拳击大赛中从没倒下过，所以没有放在地上，却独一无二的放在了墙上。

这星光大道虽不怎么壮阔，但是它承载了许多明星们毕生的梦想，为了获奖他们经历千辛万苦却毫无怨言。

说到迪士尼，大家就会情不自禁地想起米奇、米妮——，而说到迪士尼乐园，就会自然而然地想到香港，但是这次去的可是正宗的美国迪士尼乐园!我们上午在鬼屋惊悚了一次，在飞溅山峦尖叫了一次，在泰山树屋欣赏了一次，还在海盗船里吓到了一次——，中午我们饱吃了一顿“汉堡王“，下午又开始疯玩，过了把赛车手的瘾，打了一次”巴斯光年“，又观看了一次游行，在“明日世界”里驾驶星际飞车，在星际间躲避石头，急速下坠，一阵眩晕又返回了地球。在经历了一天的疲劳后，我们终于下塌酒店休息。

好莱坞的传奇

伴随着洛杉机的徐徐海风，我们驱车前往好莱坞环球影城制片厂，我们先去了“变形金刚”，通过了4D感受使我们起了一身鸡皮疙瘩，接下来又去了“侏罗公园”，连续的高空腑冲令我有些魂飞魄散。后来我们又坐电车经历了一场惊险刺激的旅途，一路睛我们遇到了大地震、洪水、木桥坍塌、大白鲨追尾、与金刚对峙等种种意外，还亲身体验了“摩西过红海”、《速度与激情》中街头赛车等电影情节，让人回味无穷。

惊心动魄的转机之旅

凌晨两点，我们前往洛杉机机场，告别了陈导，告别这个美丽的城市，乘坐飞机飞往哥伦布(合肥友好城市)，由于没有直达的飞机，我们只能先飞到休斯顿，然后再飞往哥伦布，可是由于时差有两个小时，12点46分的飞机，12点21分才到达，下飞机时已经是12点30分了，本以为16分钟可以登上飞机，可逆天的事情发生了。知道休斯顿的外号吗?“航天城”!难不成机场还和新桥一样大么?仔细一翻询问，我们登机口离我们的位置还有好儿千米远啊!还需要坐电车，我们跟着老师经过了近三十分钟的“挣扎”终于登上了飞机。

借宿外国人家

刚下飞机，只见一些老外和本次哥伦布游的大使杷鳞微笑着欢迎我们的到来。我和哥们刘子旭分在了一个外国家庭。主妇杰妮和她的两个孩子驱车将我们接到她家里，一路上，哥伦布这座小城留给我的印象是美、美、美。这儿的绿化保护工作做得十分不错，到哪都是草地，有一种小清新之感，兴许是住在城市久了的原故，我竟再一次沉醉其中，眯睡着了——“WELCOMETOOURHOUSE!”就这样，我们走进了杰妮弗的家，杰妮弗的家和周围其他人家一样是一座小别墅，家里播放着AKON激昂的歌曲(谁让我是AKON的歌迷呢?)，一切都是那么美好。杰妮弗带领我们参观了他们的房间，介绍了她的家庭。原来她有5个孩子，老大23岁，已经参加工作;老二20岁，正在读大学;还有3个住在家里，屋子后面有个很大的花园，随后我们和她的几个孩子踢了会足球，晚饭比萨十分的美味，脆软香浓，吃一口就知道是必胜客。饭后闲聊了一会，了解到杰妮弗夫妇他们最小女儿是前些年去中国领养的，难怪长得小巧灵珑，一看就象中国小女孩。也许我们太累了，一觉醒来竟是第二天的下午三点钟，我们还不知情，并很有礼貌地说“Goodmorning”吃完午餐后我们看了CUS的FOOTBALL的训练课，听了一场音乐会，并参观了美国警局!!原来CUS父亲是一位警长。美国警局并不像中国的派出所，这儿十分安静，人十分稀少，还有图书馆、博物馆——第二天早晨，我们便告别了杰妮弗一家，开始新的旅程。

俄亥俄州立大学的魅力

告别了杰妮弗一家，我们便跟随杷鳞参观了全美最大的校园——俄亥俄州立大学(OHIO)，我们参观了全美最先进的OSU体育馆RPAC和橄榄球场，还有THOMSON图书馆、招生办——到哪都能看见学生们捧着书在细细地品味，不像中国学生只知道玩游戏，也许这就是中外学生的差别吧!吃完了拿破伦比萨，我们又马不停蹄地赶往哥伦布议会大厅，一路上想像着大厅有多么地壮观，可到了才知道这个大厅十分简单，一张会议桌和几个办公室，哥伦布的一名议员向我们介绍了哥伦布的历史、城市长展等等。接下来，令人激动的事情发生了，杷鳞博士带着我们去了ALUMCREEK水库公园，到公园去烧烤了!水库边的环境十分优美，水天一色，躺在山丘上一种幸福的感觉忽然涌了出来，脑海中仿佛现出儿时美好的故事，就这样我沉浸在美好的回忆中，久久无法自拔，边烤的汉堡、热狗都不顾了，一个人就这么躺着，呼吸着大自然的芳香。

看飞机体验大自然

我们在太阳的引导下奔向了哥伦布美国航空基地，不仅见到了黑鹰战斗机，还看到了我拉偶像战机——在日本投下原子弹的B-2隐形轰炸机。不看不晓得，一看才知道，美国好几十年前研发的战斗机跟现在的飞机技术也差不到哪里，这让我十分费解，只能说明美国十分伟大!中午一顿汉堡大餐后，我们前往DARBY河自然生态环境保护区，区内有一座房子，这不是一般的房子，是监控整条河以及其保护区的地方，房内设施十分先进，还有条DARBY河模拟水缸，里面有龟、鱼、小虫小虾等等，就如同真的一样。参观结束后，真正的考验来了，我们得下河捉鱼，然后现放生，下水的第一感觉就是凉、爽。由于我们迎着逆流捉鱼，不少人跌倒在水中，进行了消暑。我十分努力地寻找着河中生物，可我的运气就是差一点，总共才捉住了一条鱼，还是很常见的种类，真是太不尽人意了。通过这次亲身体验，其实大自然是那么的体贴，只有去亲身体验，才能感受到那一种独特之美。

观光美国都城

告别了那个让人无法忘记的城市，我们历经了8小时的一路观光，抵达国都——华盛顿。弗吉尼亚州不像俄亥俄州，它濒临大西洋，有高原山脉，温度要比俄亥俄州高，但时不时伴随着凉爽的海风，毕竟大海就在不远处嘛。上午我们参观了DISCOVERY航天飞机，UDVAR-HAZY宇航中心飞机多得吓人，在这里我看到了中国抗日时期的飞机和陈纳德飞虎了队的飞机，这让我突然想起了一首经典老歌“雄赳赳，气昂昂，跨过鸭绿江——一时激起了我爱国情怀——接下来，随着飞机的“咆哮”，我们参观到了国会山庄、白宫、林肯纪念堂，在林肯纪念堂中一个人坐在椅子上，目视着正前方，没错，他就是林肯，是一位鞋匠的儿子，他不怕他人的暗杀，不怕白人对他的反对，用宣言来解放了黑奴，从此开启了新的时代。

中转费城抵纽约

早晨，阳光明媚，我们离开了景色优美的美国首府。在我的脑海里，华盛顿树木葱茏，哥伦布就好比一个孤立的小国家，里面有国会大厦，住着当今的美国总统奥巴马，一切都是那么得肃静，就这样，在这种回忆中转眼间我们已来到了曾经的美国首都——“友爱之城”费城，天空中弥漫着久久无法散去的炊烟，和那有些呛鼻的马尿味，有认会想到在二百多年前，在这里通过了独立宣言，珍藏着着名的自由钟呢?参观独立宫之后，我们缓缓地来到了宾夕法尼亚大学的沃顿商学院，学院并非想象中的那么的庞大、壮观，虽然外表十分普通，但这里曾出过巴菲特，雅诗兰黛的总裁等人，这让我心动了，下定了决心一定要上沃顿商学院!可是导游(对了，还没介绍呢，自陈导后的第二位导游张导)的一番话可有些打击我。“上沃顿的条件是：高考成绩各门几乎满分，托福要118分以上(满分120分)，要有省长、市长写推荐信后，并且还要有州长的推荐信，就这么样也不能保证能被录取，只是可能会考虑考虑。”(不过，我以后一定要奋斗，沃顿不行，其它好大学又不是不行)最让我惊呀的在纪念品商店里无意间发现美国大学一年级才开始学习解方程!真让人费解啊!

最后一站——纽约

我们前往纽约，要在这里度过最后的三天，我忽然感觉到十分珍惜，难忘，舍不得，不想回去了，带着这种感觉我们踏上了纽约之旅，伴随着徐徐海风，我们乘坐游轮前往自由岛，去瞧一瞧那高大巍峨的自由女神像，不看不觉得有多么美，一看惊讶极了，女神的右手高举着象征自由的火炬，左手捧着刻有1776年7月4日的《独立宣言》，脚下是砸碎的手铐，脚镣和锁链，头上戴着皇冠，仿佛她在把自由照耀世界。后来又去了华尔街、第五大道等地。最后参观的是普林斯顿大学，学校充满着19世纪中叶时的那种味道，整所学校都弥漫在书香的氛围中，欲浓欲烈，有些使人痴醉，在这，我们结束了本次美国之旅。第二天中午，我们悄然离开了纽约，迎接我们的是新的学期。加油，努力吧!

闹铃的响声将在梦中熟睡的我叫醒，随后妈妈驱车将我送达合肥新桥机场，随即我们飞往上海浦东机场，经过一个中午的等待，我们终于登上了a-340飞往美国洛杉机的飞机，十二小时的飞行时间让我这个急性子很着急，终于我们平安到达了翘首企盼的洛杉机机场。洛杉机给我的第一印象是清凉、舒适、安逸，没有喧闹，没有许多高楼大厦，一切都是那么的美好，仿佛进入了仙境。

参观加州大学ucla

刚下飞机还没好好休息，又帅又酷的陈导就带领我们马不停蹄地赶往ucla(加州大学洛杉机分校)。首先印入眼睑的是一个大型足球场，据陈导介绍，我最喜爱的皇家马德里曾在此训练过呢!!!不知不觉中我发现我们已进入了校园区，也难怪，美国的大学是没有围墙的。ucla的吉祥物是一只熊，名叫bruins，既可爱又十分庄严，它站在ackermanunion的门口。学校的报纸中作dailybruin，学生证叫bruincard，网络系统又叫bruinonline，bruins也象征了ucla学生们的能力和力量。接着我们又参观了图书馆，里面的馆藏非常丰富，包括《哈利波特》等这类我们喜爱的图书。结束加州大学的参观旅程，我们驱车前往着名的星光大道

星光大道之旅

大约经过一个小时的车程，我们到达了星光大道，在我的想像中星光大道应该很壮观，很气派，到了才发现并不是我想像的那样，不过是在一条街道的两边“刻”了星星，如果不是明星闪耀，这条街道一点也不起眼。我们跟随陈导首先来到了柯达剧院门前，每年的奥斯卡颁奖典礼都在这里举行。我率先找到吴宇森导演的“星星”，他的“星”和其它星有些不同，他的名字刻的是中文而不是英文，十分显人眼目，随后我们又找到了李小龙、成龙和汤姆克鲁斯的“星”。对了，还有一颗特别的“星”，它在墙上，没错，他就是打不倒的拳王泰森的“星星”，由于泰森在职业生涯的拳击大赛中从没倒下过，所以没有放在地上，却独一无二的放在了墙上。

这星光大道虽不怎么壮阔，但是它承载了许多明星们毕生的梦想，为了获奖他们经历千辛万苦却毫无怨言。

畅游迪士尼

说到迪士尼，大家就会情不自禁地想起米奇、米妮——，而说到迪士尼乐园，就会自然而然地想到香港，但是这次去的可是正宗的美国迪士尼乐园!我们上午在鬼屋惊悚了一次，在飞溅山峦尖叫了一次，在泰山树屋欣赏了一次，还在海盗船里吓到了一次——，中午我们饱吃了一顿“汉堡王“，下午又开始疯玩，过了把赛车手的瘾，打了一次”巴斯光年“，又观看了一次游行，在“明日世界”里驾驶星际飞车，在星际间躲避石头，急速下坠，一阵眩晕又返回了地球。在经历了一天的疲劳后，我们终于下塌酒店休息。

好莱坞的传奇

伴随着洛杉机的徐徐海风，我们驱车前往好莱坞环球影城制片厂，我们先去了“变形金刚”，通过了4d感受使我们起了一身鸡皮疙瘩，接下来又去了“侏罗公园”，连续的高空腑冲令我有些魂飞魄散。后来我们又坐电车经历了一场惊险刺激的旅途，一路睛我们遇到了大地震、洪水、木桥坍塌、大白鲨追尾、与金刚对峙等种种意外，还亲身体验了“摩西过红海”、《速度与激情》中街头赛车等电影情节

，让人回味无穷。

惊心动魄的转机之旅

凌晨两点，我们前往洛杉机机场，告别了陈导，告别这个美丽的城市，乘坐飞机飞往哥伦布(合肥友好城市)，由于没有直达的飞机，我们只能先飞到休斯顿，然后再飞往哥伦布，可是由于时差有两个小时，12点46分的飞机，12点21分才到达，下飞机时已经是12点30分了，本以为16分钟可以登上飞机，可逆天的事情发生了。知道休斯顿的外号吗?“航天城”!难不成机场还和新桥一样大么?仔细一翻询问，我们登机口离我们的位置还有好儿千米远啊!还需要坐电车，我们跟着老师经过了近三十分钟的“挣扎”终于登上了飞机。

借宿外国人家

刚下飞机，只见一些老外和本次哥伦布游的大使杷鳞微笑着欢迎我们的到来。我和哥们刘子旭分在了一个外国家庭。主妇杰妮和她的两个孩子驱车将我们接到她家里，一路上，哥伦布这座小城留给我的印象是美、美、美。这儿的绿化保护工作做得十分不错，到哪都是草地，有一种小清新之感，兴许是住在城市久了的原故，我竟再一次沉醉其中，眯睡着了——“welcometoourhouse!”就这样，我们走进了杰妮弗的家，杰妮弗的家和周围其他人家一样是一座小别墅，家里播放着akon激昂的歌曲(谁让我是akon的歌迷呢?)，一切都是那么美好。杰妮弗带领我们参观了他们的房间，介绍了她的家庭。原来她有5个孩子，老大23岁，已经参加工作;老二20岁，正在读大学;还有3个住在家里，屋子后面有个很大的花园，随后我们和她的几个孩子踢了会足球，晚饭比萨十分的美味，脆软香浓，吃一口就知道是必胜客。饭后闲聊了一会，了解到杰妮弗夫妇他们最小女儿是前些年去中国领养的，难怪长得小巧灵珑，一看就象中国小女孩。也许我们太累了，一觉醒来竟是第二天的下午三点钟，我们还不知情，并很有礼貌地说“goodmorning”吃完午餐后我们看了cus的football的训练课，听了一场音乐会，并参观了美国警局!!原来cus父亲是一位警长。美国警局并不像中国的派出所，这儿十分安静，人十分稀少，还有图书馆、博物馆——第二天早晨，我们便告别了杰妮弗一家，开始新的旅程。

俄亥俄州立大学的魅力

告别了杰妮弗一家，我们便跟随杷鳞参观了全美最大的校园——俄亥俄州立大学(ohio)，我们参观了全美最先进的osu体育馆rpac和橄榄球场，还有thomson图书馆、招生办——到哪都能看见学生们捧着书在细细地品味，不像中国学生只知道玩游戏，也许这就是中外学生的差别吧!吃完了拿破伦比萨，我们又马不停蹄地赶往哥伦布议会大厅，一路上想像着大厅有多么地壮观，可到了才知道这个大厅十分简单，一张会议桌和几个办公室，哥伦布的一名议员向我们介绍了哥伦布的历史、城市长展等等。接下来，令人激动的事情发生了，杷鳞博士带着我们去了alumcreek水库公园，到公园去烧烤了!水库边的环境十分优美，水天一色，躺在山丘上一种幸福的感觉忽然涌了出来，脑海中仿佛现出儿时美好的故事，就这样我沉浸在美好的回忆中，久久无法自拔，边烤的汉堡、热狗都不顾了，一个人就这么躺着，呼吸着大自然的芳香。

看飞机体验大自然

我们在太阳的引导下奔向了哥伦布美国航空基地，不仅见到了黑鹰战斗机，还看到了我拉偶像战机——在日本投下原子弹的b-2隐形轰炸机。不看不晓得，一看才知道，美

国好几十年前研发的战斗机跟现在的飞机技术也差不到哪里，这让我十分费解，只能说明美国十分伟大!中午一顿汉堡大餐后，我们前往darby河自然生态环境保护区，区内有一座房子，这不是一般的房子，是监控整条河以及其保护区的地方，房内设施十分先进，还有条darby河模拟水缸，里面有龟、鱼、小虫小虾等等，就如同真的一样。参观结束后，真正的考验来了，我们得下河捉鱼，然后现放生，下水的第一感觉就是凉、爽。由于我们迎着逆流捉鱼，不少人跌倒在水中，进行了消暑。我十分努力地寻找着河中生物，可我的运气就是差一点，总共才捉住了一条鱼，还是很常见的种类，真是太不尽人意了。通过这次亲身体验，其实大自然是那么的体贴，只有去亲身体验，才能感受到那一种独特之美。

观光美国都城

告别了那个让人无法忘记的城市，我们历经了8小时的一路观光，抵达国都——华盛顿。弗吉尼亚州不像俄亥俄州，它濒临大西洋，有高原山脉，温度要比俄亥俄州高，但时不时伴随着凉爽的海风，毕竟大海就在不远处嘛。上午我们参观了discovery航天飞机，udvar-hazy宇航中心飞机多得吓人，在这里我看到了中国抗日时期的飞机和陈纳德飞虎了队的飞机，这让我突然想起了一首经典老歌“雄赳赳，气昂昂，跨过鸭绿江——一时激起了我爱国情怀——接下来，随着飞机的“咆哮”，我们参观到了国会山庄、白宫、林肯纪念堂，在林肯纪念堂中一个人坐在椅子上，目视着正前方，没错，他就是林肯，是一位鞋匠的儿子，他不怕他人的暗杀，不怕白人对他的反对，用宣言来解放了黑奴，从此开启了新的时代。

中转费城抵纽约

早晨，阳光明媚，我们离开了景色优美的美国首府。在我的脑海里，华盛顿树木葱茏，哥伦布就好比一个孤立的小国家，里面有国会大厦，住着当今的美国总统奥巴马，一切都是那么得肃静，就这样，在这种回忆中转眼间我们已来到了曾经的美国首都——“友爱之城”费城，天空中弥漫着久久无法散去的炊烟，和那有些呛鼻的马尿味，有认会想到在二百多年前，在这里通过了独立宣言，珍藏着着名的自由钟呢?参观独立宫之后，我们缓缓地来到了宾夕法尼亚大学的沃顿商学院，学院并非想象中的那么的庞大、壮观，虽然外表十分普通，但这里曾出过巴菲特，雅诗兰黛的总裁等人，这让我心动了，下定了决心一定要上沃顿商学院!可是导游(对了，还没介绍呢，自陈导后的第二位导游张导)的一番话可有些打击我。“上沃顿的条件是：高考成绩各门几乎满分，托福要118分以上(满分120分)，要有省长、市长写推荐信后，并且还要有州长的推荐信，就这么样也不能保证能被录取，只是可能会考虑考虑。”(不过，我以后一定要奋斗，沃顿不行，其它好大学又不是不行)最让我惊呀的在纪念品商店里无意间发现美国大学一年级才开始学习解方程!真让人费解啊!

最后一站——纽约

我们前往纽约，要在这里度过最后的三天，我忽然感觉到十分珍惜，难忘，舍不得，不想回去了，带着这种感觉我们踏上了纽约之旅，伴随着徐徐海风，我们乘坐游轮前往自由岛，去瞧一瞧那高大巍峨的自由女神像，不看不觉得有多么美，一看惊讶极了，女神的右手高举着象征自由的火炬，左手捧着刻有1776年7月4日的《独立宣言》，脚下是砸碎的手铐，脚镣和锁链，头上戴着皇冠，仿佛她在把自由照耀世界。后来又去了华尔街、第五大道等地。最后参观的是普林斯顿大学，学校充满着19世纪中叶时的那种味道，整所学校都弥漫在书香的氛围中，欲浓欲烈，有些使人痴醉，在这，我们结束了本次美国之旅。第二天中午，我们悄然离开了纽约，迎接我们的是新的学期。加油，努力吧。

令我印象最深的是“小人国和大人国”了。利立浦特的居民们虽然都是一般人手掌那么大的人，但他们却十分的勤奋和聪明。格列佛为这个国家出了不少力，最后却遭到了朝廷中人的弹劾，被迫离开这个国家。这从某个角度体现了当时英国政府的昏暗等等。在大人国，格列佛又从小矮人的角度仰视人类，讽刺了某些人类的一些不好的习性。

Going abroad for Studies

The other day I announced that I would go abroad for further studies right after my college education. My decision evoked the immediate objection of my family： Why? Why should I borrow a huge sum of money for overseas studies while I might receive the same education at home at relatively low cost? My answer is： in addition to knowledge， I can gain experience that those who stay at home will never have.

First， experience is the opportunity for the real-life use of foreign languages. While a person can study a foreign language at home， the effect can never be compared with constant use of the language in academic and everyday life. There is no better opportunity to improve second-language skills than living in the country in which it is spoken. Living in English-speaking countries such as America and Australia for several years， for example， my English will be as perfect as native speakers.

Second， living and studying abroad offers me a different perspective of the world. On a university campus， foreign students are likely to encounter their counterparts from different countries and areas and are exposed to different ideas and values. This helps me to have a meaningful understanding of different societies and inevitably sees my own country in a new light.

Third， overseas experience， frustrating and painful as it may be， is helpful. A person going abroad for study often experiences much more difficulty——difficulty in adapting to a new culture and in dealing with all problems alone. Yet， the difficulty， coupled with the frustration brought on by culture shock， is a rewarding experience for ones future life and development of personality.

Last year, I went to Guilin for travel, it was a great trip for me. I not only had a look at the beautiful scenery, but also made friends. I knew a lovely girl from America, we met each other on the train. As we were almost at the same age, we communicated a lot. We shared our opinion about the culture and learned a lot. When our train reached the destination, we needed to separate, we promised to keep in touch by the Internet. Now a year has passed, we make our promise and keep in touch all the time. 寒假终于到了，我们因为有演出任务，可以顺便去美国旅游一趟，坐了一天的飞机，终于到达了美国！我们先到达了风景宜人的夏威夷，还去了所有孩子梦想的乐园"迪士尼"，并且参观了耶鲁大学等，这趟出游不仅开阔了我眼界，还让我感受到了很多不一样的民族文化和放假的轻松愉快！

参观的第一个地方是夏威夷，小时候总听大人们说夏威夷漂亮，今日一见果不其然！那里风和日丽，景色宜人。然后到了珍珠港，并在那合了影，还看了历史记录片。第二天我们去了威基基海滩。这次比第一天更有趣。在沙滩上我们听老师讲完注意事项，迫不及待的集结了5个人一起玩儿"对抗海水"。有的用手，有的用脚，有人挖沙子，有人加固沙堡，可谓是调配得当啊！可是看上去坚固的沙堡在海水面前却显得很脆弱：海水一冲上来沙堡的底部就少了很多沙子，这时我们就要用大量的干沙子来填充弥补！这样海水刚冲上来几次我们就忙的手脚并用了，该补的补，该修的修，但最还是没有海水的速度快，很快海水胜利了。我们的城堡在海水中慢慢消失了，但是这份美好的记忆却留在了我们的心里。我们要走了，要离开威基基海滩，要离开夏威夷了，心中很是不舍，带着心中的不舍我们走了！

第三天我们从夏威夷走了，坐飞机还去了洛杉矶，波士顿，纽约，纽黑文，和华盛顿。但是最令我留恋和喜欢的地方就得数洛杉矶的迪士尼乐园啦！盼望着，盼望着，洛杉矶来了，迪士尼的脚步近了！经过了漫长的颠簸终于到了迪士尼了，全车人都沸腾了，唯独老师还那么淡定，还不忘叮嘱我们："别一会儿玩的忘了时间，守时最重要啊！"，老师刚发完票，我和我的好朋友就一起冲进了迪士尼。当我们看好多人都往一个方向走时就使了一个小聪明：反方向走！果然不出我们所料，我们到地方没有那么多人排队，还没有一个小时，我们就玩儿了好几个项目，比其他人快很多，我们同行四个人连连称赞这条路选的好。就这样我们来到了矿山车这里，"矿山车，玩儿这个吧！"我提议说。四人一致通过，我们向矿山车进发！到了那儿，我们谁都没说话，只是互相对视了一眼，立刻默契的像箭一样冲了过去。说着，笑着，走着，我们兴奋地坐上了车，大家都很期待，每个人都想体验一下矿山车，我们坐下后都很轻松的说笑着，突然车子以迅雷不及掩耳之势冲了出去，我"啊"的大叫出来，这时只看到两边的物体和人飞一般的闪过去，耳旁的风也呼呼的，所有的物体都几乎看不清了！车子不断地急转弯，我们的身体也跟着车子一起倾斜，感觉好像要飞出去了。"哇，好快啊！"同学们都被惊住了，"抓好啦，一个大斜坡儿！"我们所有人都忍不住尖叫起来，车子带着我们在空中不断的飞翔，有一种要飞向天空的感觉，我的围巾随着风左摆右摆，要飞出去了我下意识的伸手把它抓住了，我吓出了一身冷汗。一只手抓着扶手，一只手高举拿着围巾，它在空中飘舞着！车上的叫喊声一次高过一次，虽然开始很害怕但是我们慢慢适应后感觉很爽，就在我们沉浸其中的时候，矿山车停止了，车子平稳了。我们有些意犹未尽。从车上下来我们四人异口同声的感叹着："爽"！接着我们又去玩了其它的项目，美好的时光总是过得很快，转眼间，黄昏来了，我们要走了"迪士尼"，再见吧！
