The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains on this day.

On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. There is no fixed ways for the Double Ninth Cake, but super cakes will have as many as nine layers, looking like a tower.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time when chrysanthemum blooms. China boasts diversified species of chrysanthemum and people have loved them since ancient times. Since I went to college, I feel so excited about the new chapter of my

life. I have imagined the campus life for so many years. Now I finally come to

this stage. I have much time after class, so I need to learn to deal with it.

After two years’ struggling, I find the right way to spend my time.

The first thing for every college student is to learn major knowledge. In

China, so many students think college time is used to play instead of study, so

they skip class. This is a big mistake. College is the stage for students to

在中华传统节日当中，我最喜欢除夕夜了。

除夕夜早上，我在老家的房间里睡觉时，隐隐约约地闻到了一阵阵香气。于是，我就穿上了家居服（在家里专门穿的衣服）咯噔咯噔地走下楼梯去看了个究竟。

哇塞！奶奶正在做一碗碗香气扑鼻的年糕汤，爷爷手中正拿着一碗做好的年糕汤，笑盈盈地对我说：“橙橙！可以吃东西啦！”于是我便飞快地洗脸刷牙然后便坐下来品尝美味的年糕汤。

中午，姑姑带着我和表姐一起开着车去买新衣服。我的衣服很快就买好了，可是表姐她的衣服却一直买不到，跑了好多商店要么是尺码不合适，要么是太丑没有要过年的气味……好不容易跑了两小时才买到合适的衣服。

下午，我们全家一起去后山上祭拜老祖宗们。先到没有草的地方在自己旁边放上纸燃上，然后才能去祭拜。我们先放上供品然后插上香，手里每人还要一根香，拜好后插上……

晚上我们一起吃团圆饭。桌上的食物十分丰盛：有红烧排骨、有鸡翅膀、有土豆丝、有鲳鱼、还有红烧带鱼……

我真喜欢除夕夜！

我重点说一说春节吧!春节是一年中的第一个节日。人们就在自己家里先放炮竹后吃饺子。为什么要吃饺子呢?因为人们感觉冬天太冷了，中国人为了不让刺骨的寒风冻掉耳朵，就吃和耳朵长得很相似的食物——饺子。那为什么吃和耳朵相似的东西呢?可能是人们以为吃下去的“耳朵”可以当自己的脑袋上的那个耳朵的“备用品”。哈哈，你知道什么意思了吧!那又为什么要放炮竹呢?我听我爷爷说，古时候有一个怪兽，古人给他起了一个名字叫“年”，为什么呢?因为它只有过年时才来。“年”非常厉害，只要看见人就吃。人们又打不过它，只好躲在房子里。可是有一次过年，一个小女孩儿淘气的拿了一个炮竹出来了，“年”正好看见她，就想扑过来吃了这个女孩儿，这个女孩儿因为紧张而不小心点燃了炮竹，又不自主的向“年”丢去，只见“年”打了一个冷颤，等炮竹爆炸了，“年”就吓得后退了几十丈远。一会儿“年”又回来了，旁边的人把这一幕看在眼里就都放起炮竹来，把“年”吓的飞跑出去，所以以后只要过年就会放炮竹。

临近五月，五月的到来说明了传统节日端午节即将来临，端午节与春节、清明节、中秋节并称为中国四大传统节日。端午节还有其他名称，又称为端阳节、龙舟节、重午节、龙节等。说起端午节，大家的第一反应一定想到的便是纪念古代诗人屈原，人们最熟悉的传统习俗莫过于吃粽子，赛龙舟，但其实还要挂艾草、点雄黄酒，吃五毒等习俗。

小时候，听到端午节来临便按耐不动，因为对于一年吃一次的粽子最为期待，每到端午节来的时候，妈妈和奶奶都会准备好做粽子的材料，粽子有甜的、咸的、豆沙馅的、没有任何调味的，作为南方人来说，粽子当然要吃咸的啦，南方人对于咸粽子没有任何抵抗力，糯叽叽的糯米中间包裹着花生，咸蛋黄、猪肉等各种调料，想想都忍受不了，这个时候我相信对于北方人来说，一定会反驳粽子当然要吃甜的，对于是吃咸粽子还是甜粽子这个世纪大难题，南北方人双方都无法理解对方，其实每个地方的习俗和口味都不一样，但一样的是，我们都在过同一个节日，都尊重传统节日，或许我们无法理解双方的口味，但我相信大家都在尊重对方。

端午节是一个传统的节日。在这个节日里，有很多习俗，比如包粽子、赛龙舟、插艾叶等，在我的家乡，主要以包粽子和插叶的方式来庆祝这个节日。而赛龙舟却在南方很盛行。

去年端午节早上，我打开家门，发现了一株像小草一样的植物，于是我便问妈妈："这是什么植物？"妈妈告诉我说："这是艾叶，传说它可以辟邪，你去闻闻它还有一股淡淡的清香味儿呢。"于是，我赶紧把鼻子贴过去，啊！那香味真让人心旷神怡，妈妈又接说："这一定是奶奶，给插上去的。"我心想奶奶多早就得起来呀！

中午，我看见奶奶坐在桌前，桌上摆着一大盆泡过的米和一小盆红枣，我跑过去问奶奶："奶奶，您就是要做什么好吃的？"奶奶说："今天是端午节，我们也来包点粽子吃吧！"于是，我学着奶奶的样子做了起来，折成漏斗形，把一颗红枣进去，再放一层米，然后再放几颗枣进去，就这样一直到装满为止，最后用准备好的棉线把粽子绕圈扎紧，最后用锅把它煮熟，就这样一个个可爱的小粽“宝宝"就出生了。

当奶奶看到我包的粽子时，奶奶大笑起来，哈哈，快看我们宝宝包的粽子都开口笑了，我不解地走过去一看，原来我包的粽子都露馅儿了，奶奶抱着我说：“我的乖孩子，下一次你一定能做好的。"我和奶奶抱在一起，哈哈大笑起来。

我们一边吃粽子一边听奶奶讲述端午节的来历，原来南方赛龙舟是为了纪念爱国诗人屈原的活动，这时我剥开粽叶，一口咬下去，甜甜的，糯糯的，好吃极了！

春节是中国民间最隆重盛大的传统节日，是集祈福禳灾、欢庆娱乐和饮食为一体的民俗大节。

中国人把过春节叫做过年。相传，古时候，有一种叫“年”的凶猛怪兽，没到腊月三十晚上，“年”到了一个村庄，两个牧童在比赛牛鞭子。“年”忽闻半空中想起了啪啪的鞭声，吓得望风而逃。它窜到另一个村庄，又迎头望到了一家门口晒着件大红衣裳，它不知其为何物，吓得赶紧掉头逃跑。后来它又来到了一个村庄，朝一户人家门里一瞧，只见里面灯光辉煌，刺得它头昏眼花，只好又夹着尾巴溜了，人们由此知道了“年”有怕响，怕红，怕光的弱点，便以放鞭炮、贴春联等来应对，于是逐渐演化成今天过年的风俗。

每年年三十，爸爸都会带我和妈妈一起去爷爷奶奶家过年。在爷爷家爸爸会带着我一起贴春联、门神和福字。爷爷奶奶和妈妈会一起准备丰盛的年夜饭。吃完年饭，大家都会换上新衣服，一起到户外和邻里街坊放烟花炮竹。

吃完午饭，一家人开始准备晚上的大餐，有的杀鸡，有的杀鱼，有的洗菜，厨房里热气腾腾的。时间过得可真快，转眼间，就到了晚上，一家人吃着美味可口的饭菜，聊着一年中的苦乐。

吃完晚饭，我和爸爸妈妈坐在阳台的凳子上，看着天上的月亮。月亮好像在天空中看着大地，大地上十分安静，偶尔会有一点声音。密密麻麻的月光就像一封封飘飞的“星级特快专递”，那是嫦娥姐姐邀请地球上的小朋友去月宫分享她亲手制作的月饼吧。

桌子上的月饼可真多!我最喜欢的是蛋黄月饼，看着小小的月饼，如此的精致，竟有点不舍得吃了。我迫不及待地一口咬下去，只觉得软糯可口，有点淡淡的咸味，更多的是蛋黄的浓香，那么的美味，让人欲罢不能。

今年的端午节，我非常开心！因为我知道了怎么包粽子。先把糯米泡在水里，然后把粽子叶浸湿，就可以包了。将两片叶子竖直相合，再将粽子叶叠成三角形，把糯米放进去，再放几个红枣进去把粽子叶合上绑上线，一个粽子就包好了。最后放锅里煮，大约一个小时就可以出锅了。粽子香气四溢，真是太美味了！

they need to figure what is right and wrong. If they follow their stars in the

wrong way, they will ruin themselves. So people need to support their stars in

the wise way.

每当到端午节的时候，人们都会包粽子、观看龙舟比赛，过得都可开心了。端了午节前一天，我们买好竹叶、糯米、鸡肉等包粽子所需材料，然后妈妈把糯米提前泡在水里备用。

端午节的早晨，天气特别好，我们一家人吃完早餐就开始包粽子。我发现妈妈早已准备齐了所有的材料，真不愧是勤劳的妈妈。我按照妈妈教我的方法，把竹叶折起来，把调好味儿的糯米放入竹叶中，并把鸡肉放入糯米里面，再把竹叶包起来，但是怎么包也包不好，于是给妈妈来包，妈妈包好之后让爸爸用绳子绑起来，就这样包好了一个粽子。我突然想到一个好主意，我们三个人可以分工协作啊!我来放材料、妈妈来保住、爸爸用绳子绑起来，就这样一个一个的粽子完成了。看到堆在一起的小粽子们，我感觉很有成就感真的很开心。包好的粽子很快被妈妈拿去煮了，没过多久我就闻到了香喷喷的粽子味儿，这扑鼻而来的粽子味儿，还没看到就让我直流口水。当妈妈把煮好的粽子端出来时，我已经无法控制控制自己的小手，拿起来就剥开吃了起来，果然好吃极了。我们在一起看了划龙舟比赛，比赛壮观极了。

这一次过的端午节，我非常快乐。因为不仅吃到了美味的粽子，又看了壮观的划龙舟比赛。我想每天都有不一样的节日，那该多好啊。

我最喜欢的中国传统节日是春节。话说在远古时期有只叫“年”的大怪物每到新年的前一天就会出来吃人和牲畜。人们用爆竹和红色的桃符把“年”给赶走了。为了庆祝赶走“年”，便有了春节。

春节之前，妈妈总会提前买好爆竹、春联、门神和福字。在新年的前一天，我和爸爸会在门上贴上春联。我因为不知道怎么区分哪条是左边的，哪条是右边的，便去百度了一下。原来古代的人是从右往左从上往下读书的，而古代一般会以平声也就是一声、三声结尾。所以，最后以平声结尾的是贴在左边的。我和爸爸贴完春联就会去贴门神。左边是一个有着大胡子的将军，他手里拿着鞭。右边是一位有着络腮胡子的将军，他手里拿着锏。他们分别是唐太宗手下的两名大将尉迟敬德和秦叔宝。我小时候在珠海，一放爆竹我就“哇哇哇”地哭，现在我长大了，来到北京了。可是北京不让放爆竹，也不知道我怕不怕了。

原来春节有这么多有趣的习俗啊!

但凡有人想起清明，总会记起一句诗：“清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂。借问酒家何处有，牧童遥指杏花村。”正是它，带人们的哀思，在一人又一人的心中吟唱！清明是我们纪念祖辈，哀悼沉思的日子。

清明节似乎总是与雨分不开的。这个清明节便是一个不下雨的雨天。

那是周二的上午，阳光明媚的清晨丝丝柔和的光照在我迷茫的脸上美妙极了。但我的心中却充满了哀思。我们迈沉重又有些悲伤的步伐向祖辈的墓前走去。

终于到了祖辈的墓前，我们所有的人都是肃然起敬，直立在他们的合墓前面。爸爸递给我一根已经燃烧起来的香，香在不时的向外冒烟，那香味是那么的浓重，让我一闻到这样子的香味，马上显示出一副沮丧，而又难过的样子。我们所有的人的手里都拿香，一起为在“九泉之下”的祖辈鞠了一个九十度的躬，以表示我们对他们所有人的崇高的敬意。

我转身拿起早已准备好的花篮，恭恭敬敬地放在了他们的墓前。花篮里的花都是白色的，在花篮上还有几根白色的带子死死的捆在了花和花篮上。在几片绿叶的衬托下，更加显得庄重，而又肃穆了。

我们拜完了之后，就开始给在”九泉之下”的长辈烧阴间的钱，爷爷知道他们很会玩麻将，就多烧了一些给他们，有一亿的，有两亿的，有一百万的大钞票，还跟他们说："人人都有不要抢。”我虽不迷信这些，但不知怎么在这时也相信鬼神的存在。

在这熊熊的火焰之中，我陷入了沉思。啊清明，有谁不会被这浓浓的思念之雨所感化，有谁不会思念自己已死去的祖祖辈辈。在这天，植物都是这么鲜艳。只有你能寄托我的思念。

这个清明节，我们一家人过得格外的沉重，因为妈妈的小叔叔，也就是我的小外公，在这个清明节的前夕去世了。

一放假，我们一家人就马不停蹄地向妈妈的老家赶去。清明节是大家为死去的亲人们祭扫的日子，中国人都非常重视这个节日，所以一路上都是车水马龙，高速公路被堵得水泄不通。所幸我们还是赶上了小外公的葬礼，和小外公做了最后的告别。

同时，我们还带了假鲜花和"天堂”纸币去给妈妈家去世的其他亲人们扫墓、祭拜，希望这些去世的亲人们在天堂中过着衣食无忧的生活。

我们祭扫回来后，外婆做了很多清明果。清明果是用一种叫鼠曲草的植物和糯米粉做成的。清明果的形状有很多，有的做成圆形的，有的做成三角形的，还有的做成饺子形的，有一些上面还印着精美的图案，非常漂亮，让人都舍不得吃。一口咬下去，软软的，里面有包着肉和笋馅的咸清明果，还有包着豆沙馅的甜清明果。

清明节就在我们的忙碌中过去了，希望我们都可以平平安安地生活。
