“四面荷花三面柳，一城山色半城湖”只要一听到这句诗，人们便会想起那美丽的大明湖，美丽的大明湖位于济南市中心，旧城区北部。在济南着名的八景中，大明湖就有三景，那便是：“明湖泛舟、历下秋风、汇波晚照”了。大明湖是由众泉汇流而成的天然湖泊。泉水由南岸游入湖内，当泉水满了的时候，泉水便会从宋代修建于北岸的北水门流出。大明湖的湖底是由不透水的火成岩构成的，因而大明湖的湖水“恒而不涨，久旱不涸”，能保持固定的水位。大明湖公园的面积有86公顷，其中它的湖面就占有46公顷。湖上有着历下亭、汇泉堂、湖心岛等许多大小岛屿六处，公园的自然景观优美宜人。湖面上的湖水波光粼粼，鸢飞鱼跃，游船穿行。大明湖自古遍生荷莲，湖畔上垂柳依依，花木扶疏。大明湖公园的人文景观也十分丰富，历下亭、铁公祠、南丰祠等十三余处名胜古迹掩映在这美丽的绿树繁花之中，向前来的游客们展现出了它们悠久的历史文化。

济南三大名胜之一的千佛山最能体现出济南的名胜古迹众多，文化底蕴深厚，千佛山公园，位于济南市区南邻。在千佛山上，东西都横列着许多千姿百态的佛像，奇伟深秀。站在远处望去，千佛山犹如一架巨大的锦屏。在千佛山的山腰处建有“兴国禅寺”、“历山院”。除此之外，在它们的周围还到处散落着“唐槐亭”、“齐烟九点”以及“云径禅关”等许多寺庙。在近几年来，千佛山又建成了桃花园、万佛洞、弥勒胜苑、佛山书苑等等。至此，千佛山这将要成为一个融山林、名胜古迹为一体的游览胜地。
