Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning! I am Oscar, the spokesman of the Students’ Union. On behalf

of the Students’ Union, the main organizer of today’s sports meeting, I welcome

you all to the beautiful stadium. After two months’ preparation, our annual

sports meeting is held on schedule.

Thanks to the support and help from our school leaders and teachers. Though

they have many school responsibilities, they have taken time off to take part in

our sports activities. Let’s give them a big hand. Through sports, we can not

only develop our physical prowess, but also promote social and emotional skills,

and even intellectual skills, which will matter in our future lives

substantially. So hope everybody here cherish this opportunity and enjoy it.

At last, best wishes for the success of the sports meeting and best wishes

for the good results of our athletes. It is my pleasure to announce the open of

自从中国开放以来，中国的辉煌跨越着世界;中国的美丽展望着世界;中国的风采感动着世界。美丽是许多人努力追求的。而最重要的美丽是身心上的美丽，也就是人们口中常挂着的两个字“健康”。

在生活中，有一句话叫“一方水土养育一方人”。说的就是饮食的重要性。

现在许多人的荤素饮食出现了问题，年迈的爷爷奶奶很节省，平时吃的都是自家种的蔬菜，鱼肉一般一两星期吃一次。而相反的，像我们一般大的，却每天大鱼大肉，特别是家庭条件富裕的一些。这样的吃法并不好，很容易肠道不舒服，我们应该多吃蔬菜、水果，因为他们都含有大量的植物营养素，研究表明，植物营养素可以帮助保护人类的七大重要器官，其中包括眼、心、肝和皮肤，同时它们也可以发挥抗氧化的功效。蔬菜、水果，特别是绿色蔬菜都含有丰富的营养素，它们除了能补充缺乏的物质外，还能促进大脑发育。

水是万物之源，人的生命离不开水。就像还珠格格里面的小燕子说的：人都要喝水，狗要喝水，猫也要喝水。现在的儿童都不怎么喝纯净水了。每天喝的都是甜饮料，这些饮料虽好喝，但是不健康，起不到补水作用。你知道么?多喝甜饮料会带来潜在的健康害处。害处一：促进肾结石;害处二：促进肥胖;害处三：降低营养素摄入量;害处四：强力促进糖尿病;害处五：促进骨质疏松和骨折;害处六：促进蛀齿;害处七：促进痛风。我建议大家还是多喝纯净水为妙。大家可以通过一个实验来证明。甲乙之前吃的东西是一样的。桌子上有四杯水，甲喝了两杯纯净水，乙喝了两杯可乐。最后上完厕所。发现甲的尿液是半透明的，而乙的是黄半透明的。而人体正常尿液是半透明的。所以我倡议人每天至少要喝5杯纯净水。这样才能让我们保持最基本的健康。

饮食的重要性当然还有很多，以上我所说的只不过是最基本的而已，离要想成为一个健康的人，还差十万八千里呢!总之，我想说的就是一个人要想获得成功，就必须有健康的身子，要想有健康的身子，就必须注意饮食。

最后，我向全世界呼吁：我们一定要给下一代人做榜样，成为健康的人!
