The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant (有意义的)holiday celebrated (庆祝)in China, and the one with the longest history (历史最悠久). The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated by boat races (龙舟赛) in the shape of dragons. Competing teams (竞争团队) row their boats forward to a drumbeat (击古)racing to reach the finish end first.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs (传统习俗)to attempts to (试图)rescue (搭救) the patriotic poet (爱国诗人)Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned (溺死) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo leaves (竹叶) filled with cooked rice into the water. 如果要说我的寒假生活，我可以告诉你，春节前的`那一段时间，我觉得好无聊啊。

那十几天，每天过的都一样，一个人留守在家里，八点起床，八点半吃饭，九点便是做作业，然后一直做到十一点吃中饭，接下来还是做作业，到了晚上六点看半个小时电视，下面就该吃晚饭，吃完后继续写作业，十点睡觉。唉，我真觉得这生活一下子变得没有色彩了，我呢?就像一个机器人一样，每天循规蹈矩地生活着，简直太无聊了。

I am fond of reading. I often read after class. My classmates like watching

大年初一大拜年。家家户户都很早起来，走亲串户去拜年。我家也不例外，爸爸很早叫我起来，起来后出门，不能往东看。我不知道这是为什么，但还是要服从命令的。一路上，每个家族都是成群结队，显示着家族人丁兴旺，和睦幸福。

要过年了，我们一家正在热热闹闹地贴春联呢!

回到家我正要下手贴对联呢!这时，爸爸把手往大门前一挡，严肃地说：“春联可不能随意乱贴，就像古人说的一样，心急吃不了热豆腐，不然人家看我们春联都贴不好，怎么会肯进来作客呢!”我十分同意爸爸的意见。就在我们对话时，妈妈已经在春联的背后整整齐齐地粘好了双面胶。对联分左右，我读了读文字，不费吹灰之力就把方向解透了。古人的写字是从右到左的，所以首联应该贴在右边。我们和爸爸一起贴春联。我提议我负责指挥，爸爸负责贴。当老爸刚要向一处贴，站在边上的我说：“不行，不行，贴得太靠边了。”爸爸的身体向右挪了挪，可我又说：“不行，这次是太高了，要低一点儿。”就这样相互配合，最后终于完成了。

接着我们要把横批给贴上去，可是对联太长，把整个门都占得满满当当的。没有给横批留下一点位置，我们只好把它贴在了高高的门框上，可是门框实在太高了，连爸爸也够不着了。正当我手足无措的时候，爸爸已悄无生息地搬来了一把梯子，只见爸爸小心翼翼地紧握着梯子，一步一步向上爬，他把横批牢牢地贴在了雪白的墙上，终于成功了。

正当我们认为已经结束时，我瞥见桌子上还有一个“福”字，连忙说：“不对呀，中间还要贴一个福字。”这可为难我们了，福字贴不下呀!我们只好把字贴在对连接内狭小的地方。

你看，这次我们全家总动员，选春联、贴春联。在这个过程中大家团结友爱、互帮互助，才能把事情做得越来越好。
