记者几年前到国家贫困县山西大宁采访扶贫款被贪污案时，曾到一个家徒四壁的山民家里走访，这家主人，一个四五十岁的低矮老农，连遭不幸，不仅被干部用他的名字领扶贫款，却分文没给他，最小的男孩子还被山草中的蛇咬伤，性命垂危。当我们走进他山坳中的窑洞时，他哭了起来，我们力所能及地给了他一点资助，他扑通跪在地上以表感激。当知道他有多少孩子时，我们几个人都大吃一惊，八个。

这完全出乎我们的意料，多年来计划生育大好形势的宣传，使我们觉得农村最多能生两个，即使那些一味抗法、被扒屋毁灶的人，也只能有三到四个孩子。

而八个是什么数字?那是比1949年前还多的一个数字。也可能这些家庭比起1949年前，住房改善不大、食物够吃了但质量没好多少，但抗生素等类药品的普及确实使死婴现象少多了。1949年以前，一个农民家庭也能生很多孩子，但最终成活的只有一半强。所以虽然现在有计划生育的约束，农村人口还是猛增。

记者到陕西靖边采访时，发现那里的农民虽然被各种杂税弄得苦不堪言，而且土地日益干旱和荒漠化，生活很艰难，同样也生很多孩子。一个家庭有四五个孩子是很普通的，甚至是数量最少的。

一位女记者在山西大宁县一个很穷的山村金疙瘩村采访时，发现那里农民平均六个孩子。一个五六岁的小女孩告诉她，她有四个哥哥和一个妹妹。有人指着另一个红衣女孩说：“这孩子的父亲弟兄三个，每个都有六个孩子。”女记者了解到，金疙瘩村几乎没有三胎的，大多是五、六胎，最多的一家七胎，且大部分家中有二、三个男孩。

中国由于人口众多，曾被称作“骑在自行车上的国家”，现在，虽然家家户户都有了自己的私车，但交通繁忙，很可能导致交通事故，且许多司机“执法而不依法行事”(如：酒后驾车，硬闯红路灯，横冲马路)从而导致许许多多的人死于非命。

我国的工业不仅发达，而且工厂遍布全国各地，人们的环保意识越来越差。截至至今，我国的环境污染，生态破坏仍相当严重。无锡人有一段歌谣，描述了大运河税制的变化：“50年代淘米洗菜;60年代水质变坏;70年代鱼虾绝代;80年代洗不净马桶盖”环境的污染，更是威胁着人类的生命，向肺结核，矽肺病，肺典等不易治疗的病症，像一把锋利的尖刀，刺杀了许许多多无辜的生命。综上所述，是中国死亡人数的主要原因。

我认为，国家应该用可施行的好办法，使人懂得生命的重要性;更好的落实改革开放政策。
