i’m very glad to hear from you again. from your letter i know you want to know more about reducing learning load for primary and middle school students in china. let me tell you. before learning load was reduced, i had had to do my homework, so i could not go to bed until half past eleven; but after learning load was reduced, i can visit museums, take computer and painting lessons. at night i can read books and newspapers or watch tv. now i usually go to bed at ten. we are all like it very much.

i am very glad to hear from you. you asked me about the change of school education in china. we are really happy about the changes called on to reduce learning load. before i had to study six days a week and i always went to bed after 11:30. i seldom had free time to do what i like. but now i have more spare time. i can read many interesting books, watch tv or even do some sports. and i never feel tired in the class as before, because i go bed at 10:00. all of my classmates are happy about this new arrangement of things.

农历五月初五为传统节日端午节，又称端阳节、午日节、五月节、艾节、端五、重午、午日、夏节。虽然名称不同，但各地人民过节的习俗是相同的。传统节日端午节是我国二千多年的旧习俗，每到这一天，家家户户挂艾叶菖蒲，赛龙舟，吃粽子，饮雄黄酒，游百病，佩香囊。

屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

传统节日端午节还有许多有趣的活动。列如赛龙舟，挂香囊，香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。还有挂艾叶、菖蒲的习惯。

在这个细雨绵绵的日子里，我像刚盛开的微菊，绽放在思想的境界中……

我想起了故乡。那是一个宁静而美丽的乡村，每当到了端午时节，那儿便会热闹起来。走在街上，仿佛置身在欢闹的海洋里。路不宽，人很多，你会不由自主地随着人群走向河岸边。河面是龙舟的世界，一只紧挨着一只，选手们在码头上摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试。随着响彻云霄的鼓声，赛龙舟开始了。顿时，人们的呼喊声、选手们的吆喝声、鼓手敲击的鼓声交融在一起，组成了一支雄壮的进行曲。龙舟驶远了，但选手们的吆喝声还在河上回荡。

我亦想起了在这儿度过的端午，

这里总是热闹、有气氛的。到了端午这个时候，人们更是不亦乐乎。每家每户都忙着包粽子、看赛龙舟、布置家居。最稀奇的节目还是“忆”屈原。人们总会在端午节这一天，制作550只莲花灯，点上蜡烛，让它们沿江河飘荡，以此表达对屈原的思念与尊敬。

我还想起了屈原，

他心中怀有一种悲哀，楚怀王无力辨别臣子，使得屈原一生抱负无处施展。近乎绝望的屈原慢慢迈向江边，他无助地站在那儿，看见百姓生活在苦难中，“长太息以掩涕兮，哀民生之多艰”，继而，一股不可阻挡的怒涛在心底激荡却无处发泄。于是，他化为怒吼的雷，化为霹雳的闪电，随着雨的来临而消失了……

雨依旧在下，微菊仍在开放，阴雨朦胧的日子给人无限遐思……

当临近端午之时，我的心总是会忍不住的泛起丝丝的哀愁……

端午既是我人生的起点，却也是我人生阴暗的开始，呱呱落地时那就是端午。而且还是正午的十二点，爸妈离婚时那也是个端午，那天的夕阳显得格外的妖艳，仿佛滴出血来一般……

也许那时还小，也许从小很少跟妈妈接触的缘故，那时我竟没感觉到什么。可是随着时间的流逝，我慢慢的长大了，一些事情我真正的明白了，没有妈妈是多么的痛苦!

我时常想妈妈回来会怎样，但是脑中那个残酷的现实始终不会改变：“就算妈妈回来你们也会像陌生人一样，毕竟当初的抛弃，五年的蹉跎岁月会磨灭很对的东西，会很多很多……

My school life is very interesting and happy. I like English best of all the subjects in the school. Everyone knows that Dragon Boat Festival can dragon boat and eat seeds. But

this year, Im not the same.

In the morning I opened my eyes and caught my brother in a noisy voice.

Come out, theyre eating the seeds! I couldnt wait to brush my teeth and grab a

seed to eat. At noon, my brother and I took a "healthy bath". Soon I and my

brother were in the water.

我的家乡在吉林梅河口市，城市不算大，但却是个漂亮的城市，也有着浓厚的风土人情。下面我就来介绍一下我家乡的端午节吧!

每年在端午节快到的时候。大街小巷到处都是卖五彩绳和纸葫芦的小摊，到处洋溢着浓浓的节日氛围。母亲给我买了两个五彩绳，那上面还携带两个金黄色的小铃铛，发出“叮呤呤”的声音。我很喜欢。

阴历5月，青草长满了家乡的山野，在那淅沥的小雨中，端午节悄悄走来了。清晨，父亲早早就把纸葫芦和艾蒿挂在了我家的门上，母亲还在屋里挂了一个大葫芦呃!我好奇的问母亲：“为何要在家挂葫芦呢?”母亲说：“以前听老大家说过，挂葫芦能保平安和健康”。虽然有的迷信，但是它却有着美好的心愿。

今天，家家都吃着香甜可口的大粽子，我也不例外，向母亲要了钱，买了一袋大粽子。关于粽子还有一个传闻呢!

两千多年前，楚国有位大官叫屈原，他很爱国，可是当时的楚国国君不听他的建议，还把他贬官流放。后来秦国攻占了楚国。屈原眼看着我们的祖国被侵略，心如刀割，但是一直不忍舍弃我们的祖国，在5月初五那天，抱石投入了汨罗江，以我们的生命谱写了一曲壮观秀丽的爱国主义乐章。

千百年过去了，每到阴历的5月初五，吃粽子，以纪念伟大的屈原，端午节吃粽子的风俗就如此流传下来了。

家乡的端节节虽然没南方赛龙舟的场面壮观，但是却有着浓浓乡情。我喜欢家乡的端午节。
