As we know , water is very important to man,we can’t live without water. The amount of water which is suitable to drink is less and less. Spring Festival ,known as the Chinese New Year,which counts from the first day in the lunar calendar ,and is the most important holiday in China.From late January to early February,Chinese people are busy preparing for the New Year.They clean their houses ,have their hair cut,and buy new clothes .Jiaozi or dumpling is most popular.To those who live far away from their home,this festival is also a framily reunion occasion.

And they often go back home to celebrate the festival with their family.At the time,the children will play the fireworks and firecracker。further more，once the children greet to olds，  for return,the olds will give the children lucky money.and last The first day of the new year is the time when people visit their friends and wish each other good luck in the new year,remember to be happy！

TheDragonBoatFestivaloccurs on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar(阴历). It is one of the three most important of the annual Chinese festivals. The other two are the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.

The story of this colorful festival concerns a famous Chinese scholar-statesman(政治家) named Chu Yuan(屈原) who, some three centuries before the birth of Christ, served the King of Chu(楚怀王)during the Warring States period. As a loyal minister(大臣), Chu Yuan at first enjoyed the full confidence and respect of his sovereign(君主). Eventually, through the intrigues of his rivals, he was discredited(不足信的, 不名誉的).

Chu Yuan was never able to regain(恢复) the emperors favor and on the fifth day of the fifth moon in the year 295 B.C.(Before Christ), at the age of 37, Chu Yuan clasped a stone to his chest and plunged into the Milo River(汨罗江) in the Hunan Province(湖南省).

Respecting the minister as an upright(正直的) and honest man, the people who lived in the area jumped into their boats and rushed out in a vain search for him. This unsuccessful rescue attempt is a part of what the Dragon Boat Festival commemorates every year.

Probably the most exciting and interesting aspect of the festival is the racing of the Dragon Boats. These races not only symbolize the peoples attempt to save Chu Yuan, they also demonstrate the Chinese virtues(美德) of cooperation and teamwork.

Another activity of the Festival is the making and eating of a kind of dumpling called Tzungtzu (粽子). When it became known that Chu Yuan was gone forever, the people, living along the river, threw cooked rice into the water as a sacrifice(祭品) to their dead hero. They wrapped(包) rice in bamboo leaves(粽叶), and stuffed(填满) it with ham, beans, bean paste(豆沙), salted egg yokes, sausages, nuts, and/or vegetables.

To the Chinese the fifth lunar moon is more than just the Dragon Boat Festival. Since antiquity(古代), they have believed that this month is a pestilential and danger-fraught(瘟疫的及充满危险的) period. Children born in this month are said to be difficult to raise(抚养), and people tend to concentrate their efforts during this time attempting to protect their families from ills and misfortune. The day of the Dragon Boat Festival is customarily the time when cleaning and sanitation(卫生) are stressed(着重, 强调). Most families hang calamus(菖蒲) and artemisia(艾草) above their doors, both as a decoration and as a preventive against pestilence.

Ancient folk medicines(民间药物) such as realgar(雄黄酒)are added to the food eaten on the Festival day. This is believed to prevent disease and to promote a healthy digestive system(消化器官). The drinking of realgar in wine supposedly relieves(解除) the effects of poisons accumulated in human bodies.

The sachets (Hsiang Pao in Chinese香包) are very popular with children and they vie(竞争) with each other to collect as many as possible. Children are not the only ones who collect Hsiang Pao. Older people are often given them as a symbol of respect, and they are highly prized because of the intricate(复杂的) and beautiful embroidery(刺绣) that adorns(装饰) them.

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. Chinese months are reckoned by the lunar calendar, with each month beginning on the darkest day. DragonBoatFestival, often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. Start with 1949, china was liberate. The leader of china Mao Zedong was make a policy which is encourage people to bear, because the Mao think a strong country need a huge population. So, in that time if a woman burn many children, then the woman will called “hero woman”.

And many people were born, that is why the population of china were very huge new.

In 1978, the family plan were start to use, because the population of china is too huge, and need some policy to control it. So Chinese government was start to use the family planning to control, that is the most useful way to control, they do many thing like welfare to the Chinese people.

At that time, many of the population were like thispolicy, because they can get much benefit from this event.

I have seen some poster of the family planning in 1978, and I think it is fool the common people in that time. So I always pity for all elderly Chinese

people, and my parent tell me it was very cruel that time. When you born more than one child, you will have much and much punishment from the government, like to injure your house, increase your tax levy, but not cruel as kill you, so Chinese is very kind that time!

Now, the government have been thinking the problem of the population, some peoplesay that we have been keeping the family planning, and other people think we have to stop the family, so it have two choose of family planning, each of it will have a big change in china.

Family planning

Family planning is a kind of population policy in the world which is very common, many country were use this policy to control the population, because it is very easy to use, and very convenient to manage the population. Also is very low-cost to use.

But it have some bad way, like it will have a big problem called aging of population, it made the many young peoples burden very huge, very hard to care two parent or more.

Conclude, family planning isnt the best way to control the population, and it can bring many problem to the country. But we cant find another way to control the population, so we just can use this policy.

The policy of population now

One Chinese leader of family planning department said that we have to keep going for family planning forever, and china need much and much strict family planning to control our population.

Then many specialist to publish their own idea of family planning, all of

ideas were talk about to weaken or stop the family planning, and give some advice of population. Here I would like introduce some specialist ideas.

Chinese population is very large now, if we stop growing immediately, it will have a big problem call aging of population. If this problem happen, the young people will be very hard to provide their family.

Population will be stop growing to 1.8 milliard if we dont do anything, so that is a good way to control the population and dont have much shortcoming. It can be a better way to control the population, isnt it

If we still using the policy of family planning, it will have a large population decrease, and will have aneffect of many thing. Productivity of china will be less, and manpower resource will be less too.

Family names always come tirst.For example, my full name is Bai Junwei.Bai is my family name. Junwei is my given name.But some Chinese people dont have the middle name. For example, a man called Zhou Jian. Zhou is his family name,and Jian is his given name.姓要放在第一位。例如：我的全名叫白君伟。白是我的姓，君伟是我的名。但有些中国人没有中间的名，例如：一个人叫周健，周是他的姓，健是他的名。

People often use Mr. , Mrs. , or Miss before their family names, but never before.their given names.So you can say "Mr. Zhou", but you could never say "Mr.Jian".人们经常在他姓的后面使用先生、夫人、小姐，但此种说法从不在名字后面使用。所以你能说“周先生”，而不能说“健先生”。

Chinese names are different from English names.In England, the last name is the family name. The first and the middle name is tile given name.For example,there is a man called Jim Henry Brown. Brown is his family name. Spring Festival ,known as the Chinese New Year,which counts from the first day in the lunar calendar ,and is the most important holiday in China.From late January to early February,Chinese people are busy preparing for the New Year.They clean their houses ,have their hair cut,and buy new clothes .Jiaozi or dumpling is most popular.To those who live far away from their home,this festival is also a framily reunion occasion.

And they often go back home to celebrate the festival with their family.At the time,the children will play the fireworks and firecracker。further more，once the children greet to olds， for return,the olds will give the children lucky money.and last The first day of the new year is the time when people visit their friends and wish each other good luck in the new year,remember to be happy！
