传说，一年的大年三十，天气十分寒冷，许多穷人冻掉了耳朵。名医张仲景见此十分心痛。于是，他就让妻子把羊肉、辣椒用包在一起，做得象耳朵的开关，然后放到锅里煮，煮熟了就分送到穷人家中，人们吃了身上发热，就不怕寒冷了，也不会冻掉耳朵了。这就是“饺子”的原型了。不过，那时候可不叫饺子，因为它像一个个耳朵，所以叫“银耳”。
