我的家乡在杭州，这里有如诗如画的西湖，有古朴自然的西溪湿地，还有与万里长城相媲美的人工奇迹——京杭大运河。

京杭大运河是世界上里程最长、工程最大、最古老的运河之一，是中国古代劳动人民创造的一项伟大工程。可谁曾想到，运河曾经有一段痛苦的回忆。我收集了许多珍贵的历史图片，它们似乎在控诉这一段历史。瞧，旧照片里房屋低矮破旧，岸边杂草丛生，芦苇挡道。河面上，垃圾肆意漂流，一到夏天就臭气熏天，难以忍受，让生活在岸边的居民苦不堪言。来往的货船更是少之又少。运河的水乌黑发臭，废物随意排放，导致鱼虾死亡无数。值得庆幸的是这污浊不堪的运河已成为过去。

如今的运河可美了!瞧，两岸的公园经常有居民在散步、遛狗、跳舞。运河的四季都是绿色的，常年青翠。白天，河边的柳树随风舞动，摇摆着绿色的长发;桃花绽开了美丽的笑脸，水上巴士来来往往，喜迎各方来客。而当夜幕降临时，晚霞照着京杭大运河与西湖文化广场、胜利河美食街等建筑物仿佛被涂上了暖暖的红色。运河两岸的霓虹灯都亮了起来，许多彩灯闪闪点点，红的、黄的、绿的、紫的……让人看得眼花缭乱。

我们中国有许多传统文化，比如春节、端午节、中秋节等等，其中最隆重的要属于我们的春节了。

“腊月二十四，啴尘扫房子。”过春节时，家家户户都要打扫环境，清洗餐具，到处洋溢着欢欢喜喜搞卫生，干干净净迎新春的欢乐气氛。

春节还要贴大红对联，它要以工整，简洁，精巧的文字描绘时代背景，无论是城市还是农村，家家户户都要精选一幅大红春联贴在门上面。

春节还要放鞕炮，到了年三十晚，鞭炮声、礼炮声、欢笑声、到处都是一片欢乐融融的气象。

到了春节，不管是学生，还是在外工作的人，能赶回家的人都会尽量赶回家和家人团聚，大家在一起热热闹闹地吃团圆饭，迎接新的一年到来。

还有一个传统就是我们小孩们最高兴的了，那就是春节我们都会收到长辈们给我们的红包，预示着来年我们都会顺顺利利的过着每一天。

中国的传统文化有很多，其中春节是中国最隆重的传统节日，也是我最期待最喜欢的节日。

每年春节，街上挂满了红红的灯笼，彩旗飘飘，商场里面是人山人海，在购买年货，可热闹了。到了大年三十这天，妈妈在准备丰盛的食物，我们小朋友们都穿上了漂亮的新衣服，爸爸还会带我去逛花街，深圳是禁止放烟花炮竹的城市，但是偶尔也会听到一阵阵鞭炮声，为节日增添了喜庆的色彩。吃完年夜饭后，我们一家人就会坐在一起一边吃水果一边观看春节联欢晚会，精彩的表演常把我们逗得哈哈大笑。

每年春节，让我最期待的日子就是去拜年了，因为我又可以去外婆家了，每年我都是在焦急又兴奋中等待爸爸妈妈带我去外婆家，我最喜欢去外婆家拜年了，因为在那里我可以自由的走动，还可以跟很多表兄弟姐妹在一起玩耍，那里的过年气氛浓厚，大街小巷都是非常热闹，到处都能听到阵阵的鞭炮声，还有五光十色的烟花在空中飞舞，看着天空被这些五彩缤纷的烟花装扮的绚丽多彩，我们个个欢呼雀跃，开心极了!

离外婆家门口不远的地方，还搭有戏台，整天整夜都在唱大戏，听说是做给某位神仙看的，我们天天在戏台前后跑来钻去的，玩的真是废寝忘食，流连忘返。戏台的周围还有很多小卖部，有卖各种小吃的;有卖玩具的;还有卖烟花炮竹的……我们那时可神气了，拿着大人们给的压岁钱，尽情的享受了一把购物的乐趣。

我喜欢春节，更喜欢外婆家的春节，它给我的童年带来无限的快乐，我期待下一个春节快点到来。

春节自古以来就是中国的传统节日，也是人们新的一年的生活的开始。在这期间里，全家老少都一起“迎新春，除旧岁”，我们家也不例外。

除夕那天，是我最开心的一天。我早早地把写好的春联准备好，就等着爷爷的胶水了。对于贴春联，我可是个行家，家里春联每年都是我贴的。而且不只是春联，还有那个大大的“福”

字。这“福”字必须要倒贴，寓意是“福”到了的意思，希望在新的一年里能福气满满。

接下来的一下午，可都是大人们的活儿啦，那就是包饺子。这个活儿看起来容易，学起来可就难多了。这不，这次我也想试试。

首先，把馅铺在面皮儿上，再把面皮儿捏起来，这样一个饺子就完成了。我照着“口诀”捏了几个饺子，造型上都挺美观的，可实际上却不怎么样。可能是没捏紧的缘故吧，我包的那几个饺子一到锅里就全露馅了，无奈的我啊，只能吃着面皮喝汤了。

其实除夕的高潮啊是在晚上。我们早早地吃完饺子便下楼放鞭炮了。胆大点儿的毛头小子就放“炮仗”，女孩子则放烟花之类的。当鞭炮声响起来时，才发觉有了浓浓的年味，这才是春节的开始。

除夕后一天就是大年初一，是晚辈给老辈拜年的时候，这一天必须说吉祥的话，寓示着这一年吉祥如意。虽然年轻人不计较什么，但是还是要给爷爷奶奶拜年。穿上新衣服，脑袋里搜罗着各种吉祥话，可无非就是那套“万事如意，身体健康”、“福如东海，寿比南山”之类的，只是老人们听着高兴，做晚辈的也跟着高兴。就这一句话，结束了大年初一，跑断了脚后跟，也磨破了嘴皮子。

孔子曰：“登泰山而小天下。”这句名言是孔子登完泰山有感而发。2018年端午节放假，爸爸妈妈带着我和弟弟一起去山东泰安爬泰山，去感受泰山之壮丽。这天，我们在宾馆放下行李就打车来到了泰山脚下。从泰山脚下抬头看，泰山好高啊!“出发了!”爸爸一声号令，我们四个人便开始了登山之旅。

泰山的石阶两旁全是高大挺拔的树，鸟儿的叫声布满了整个山间。石阶的旁边有一条清澈的小溪，溪水潺潺的声音如悦耳的交响乐在空中飘荡。小溪里有很多奇形怪状的大石头，有的像磨盘，有的像轮船，有的像飞碟，还有的像魔方，好是奇特。我和弟弟不时地跑过去站在石头上，摆着各种造型拍照片。一路上我们走走停停，说说笑笑，欣赏着美丽的风景。不一会儿，汗水就湿透了我的全身，爸爸妈妈在我和弟弟的后面也满头大汗。

经过了三个小时的努力攀爬，我们终于在中午时爬到了十八盘。十八盘由一千六百个台阶组成，非常陡峭，人们也叫它“天阶”，意思是通向天空的台阶。从天阶看远处的泰山，有许许多多的悬崖，远处看到有一座刻着字的悬崖，我和弟弟便加快了步伐，半小时过去了，我们看清楚了上面刻的字——“万丈崖”。为什么叫它“万丈崖”呢?看着铭牌的介绍，我才知道，原来这个悬崖看上去有一万丈高，是古代一位皇帝在上面刻的字。爸爸给我讲了好多关于泰山的历史，中国古代很多帝王都登泰山祭天，泰山是文化名山，是历代君王攀登最多的山。听着爸爸的讲解，踏着历史的脚步，我感受到了泰山的深厚文化。我们一步一步向前攀登，一会儿就到了海拔1300米处。这时，我看到了南天门，高高的门楼，很多游客在那里拍照留念，摆着各种姿势，庆祝自己是胜利者。我拉着弟弟也站在南天门前的台阶上看雄伟壮丽的山脉，壮美的江山美丽如画，远处的十八盘显得那么渺小。爸爸妈妈也很快来到了南天门最高的台阶上，我们一起眺望远方的山和来时的路，笑着呼喊：“泰山，我们来了!”

从南天门再往里走，路逐渐平缓，很快我们就来到了天街。这儿有很多商铺和饭店，琳琅满目的工艺品让我爱不释手，弟弟也挑选了自己喜欢的小玩具。在餐厅吃了饭，我们在泰山上继续寻找历史的足迹。泰山上有很多的石刻，文人墨客在这里抒写着对泰山的敬仰，也抒发着对祖国大好河山的喜爱之情。再往上爬我们就到达了玉皇顶，有一块石头上刻着四个字“五岳之首”，我们在这拍了许多照片。爬着爬着就到了海拔1900米处，到达了最顶端。远眺泰山，连绵的山脉下面是一马平川的齐鲁大地，真是登泰山而小天下啊!

夕阳西下，霞光染红了泰山，我们恋恋不舍地开始下山，泰山的壮丽深深地刻在了我的脑海里。“东岳泰山，五岳之首，我喜爱泰山，下次一定再来!”我心里默念道。

我国的传统文化有很多，比如有春节、端午节、中秋节等许多节日。当然，我最喜欢的还是春节了。

春节也叫过年，它的来历是在太古时期，有一种凶猛的怪兽，散居在深山密林中，人们管它们叫“年”。它的形貌狰狞，生性凶残，每隔三百六十五天窜到人们居住的地方伤害人类，而且出没的时间都是在天黑以后，等到鸡鸣破晓，它们便返回山林中去了。由于“年”最怕红颜色和鞭炮声，因此每年年三十，每家每户都在门上贴上红纸，在院里放鞭炮，防止“年”溜到人们居住的地方伤害人类。

春节到了，年三十晚上，我和爸爸、妈妈、哥哥、姑姑一起在爷爷家吃团圆饭，饭后我们拿了许多烟花和鞭炮去放，有窜天鼠、鱼雷、二踢脚、黑旋风等。我们看到美丽的焰火从烟花里喷了出来，它们像一朵朵刚绽开的花朵，我和哥哥在一旁又蹦又跳开心极了，路边的人看见了，都停下脚步，羡慕地看着我们。

新的一年又到了，我们又长大了一岁。我应该更懂事了，让爸爸、妈妈少操点心，自己努力学习，争取一天比一天更棒！

跨越二十多个世纪，当现代人掀开层层黄土，它沉睡的双眼终于缓缓睁开。一支庞大的地下军团让整个世界为之一震。近百万兵马阵势磅礴，在黄土之下默默守卫着秦国皇灵。

历经2000多年，他们的目标仍未改变。士兵们身披铠甲，视死如归。有的望向无际的远方，似乎在思念远方的家人;有的目光坚定果敢，随时准备拿起武器，冲出城门，与来攻的敌人一决高下，毫不退缩;还有的头戴鹖冠，高大魁梧，气质超群，大将风度跃然眼前。御手紧握缰绳，目视前方，严阵以待;战马耳若削竹，眼若铜铃，昂首嘶鸣，似乎奋力疾蹄于雷霆战场之上。

好一个2000年前的古代大军阵!刹那间，我似乎被一股神秘的力量带入喊杀震天的古战场，与千万士兵冲锋陷阵，风云再起。宝剑、长矛、飞刃、弓弩……黄沙漫天，战车嘶鸣，一场惨烈地厮杀，一曲不朽的神话。

这，就是被誉为“世界第八大奇迹”的中国秦兵马俑。

农历三十这天的上午，必须要完成挂红灯、贴窗花、春联，福字要倒着贴哦，寓意在福到了。做完之后，屋外节日的气氛显得更加浓郁了。

各民族过节都有燃放鞭炮和烟花的习俗，我们这里也不例外。最激动人心的阶段是午夜前后。室内灯火通明，酒香四溢，桌上摆满热气腾腾的饭菜。这也是最能显示出一家人团圆的时刻。大家喜气洋洋地围坐在一起，把平时不开心的事一股脑地丢到脑后，兴高采烈地一边喝着、吃着、聊着，看着春晚节目。一时间，室外的鞭炮声响成一片，空中的烟花纷纷扬扬，色彩缤纷的。把整个夜空照得如同白昼，直到零点钟声响起来，守岁才算完成。

春节最热闹的习俗是看秧歌，男男女女一帮人身着各色服装，手摇彩扇，踩着高跷，随着吹鼓手的节奏和高跷接触地面整齐的“咔咔”声，一摇一摆的往前走。秧歌队到了谁家门口，谁家都要放鞭炮，给一些香烟和酒作为答谢的礼品。看秧歌的人群，簇拥着秧歌队，浩浩荡荡的从西走到东，又从东折到南，无论天气有多冷，都一步不离地跟着看……

民俗是节日的调味剂，没有了这些，节日将枯燥无味。

有一年除夕，半夜时分，“年”兽又闯进村。它发现村里气氛与往年不同：只见村东头老婆婆家里，门贴大红纸，屋内烛火通明。“年”兽浑身一抖，怪叫了一声，便向老婆婆家扑了过去。快到门口时，院内突然传来“劈里啪啦”的炸响声，“年”吓坏了，就再也不敢往前走了。原来“年”最怕红色、火光和炸响。这时，婆婆的家门大开，只见院内一位身披红袍的老人在哈哈大笑。“年”大惊失色，狼狈逃窜了。

从此以后，每到除夕，家家贴红对联，燃放爆竹，户户烛光通明，守更待岁。初一一大早，还要走亲串友道喜问好。后来这风俗越传越广，逐渐成了中华民族最隆重的传统节日——春节。

I am. I was born in. I graduate from senior high school and major in English. I started learning English since I was 12 years old. My parents have a lot of American friends. That’s why I have no problem communicating with Americans or others by speaking English.

In my spare time, I like to do anything relating to English such as listening to English songs, watching English movies or TV programs, or even attending the activities held by some English clubs or institutes. I used to go abroad for a short- term English study. During that time, I learned a lot of daily life English and saw a lot of different things.

I think language is very interesting. I could express one substance by using different sounds. So I wish I could study and read more English literatures and enlarge my knowledge.

到了西安，你会想到什么呢?钟鼓楼、羊肉馍当然还有兵马俑啦!今天我就去了兵马俑博物馆。

兵马俑都是泥巴、陶片做的吗?当然不是!他们身上原本颜色艳丽，不过因为出土时技术不行，不到一分钟就氧化了，实在可惜!但二号坑出现了奇迹：在一只跪射将军俑背后留着淡淡的红色，保存很不易!

自从出土到今天，没有一个兵马俑神色一模一样，可谓古人的脑洞大开!

所有兵马俑的手都呈空心拳式，为什么会这样呢?考古学家推断，兵马俑的手里应该都拿有兵器，而这些兵器是木头做的，因为年代久远，已经全部腐化了，如果兵器还存在，我们还能一览秦王朝的兵器呢!

特别的还有兵马俑三号坑，因为这里的兵马俑手里拿着礼仪制度的兵器，所以考古学家推测这儿应该是指挥部。那儿特别小，只有五百二十平方米，在指挥部的正前方还有指挥用的四马一车，给我们呈现了秦王朝完整的指挥部形象。

秦王朝时，兵马俑能做得这样活灵活现，可想当时的科技、艺术的发达。中国作为千年文明古国，当之无愧!我为我是中华子孙而骄傲!

秦兵马俑是秦始皇陵中一种从葬坑，就在秦始皇陵附近，它象征着秦始皇拥有着一支庞大的军队。

它是一位农民在打水井时发现的，被称为世界第八大奇迹。我和爸爸妈妈一起来参观秦始皇兵马俑。

刚进一号坑就看见面前有一支庞大的军队展现在眼前，这应该就是守护秦始皇的军队吧!这些兵马俑站立整齐，各式各样，有的双手牵着马，有的手上拿着兵器，有的双手打开好像在射箭，有的双手放在胸前好像在驾车。我们继续往里走，发现还有更多兵马俑，有些早已出土，有的还在保护中。我最喜欢一个正在保护的24号俑，因为这个俑身披铠甲，头戴盔甲，站得特别挺，左手拿着兵器长矛，右手放在身子边，看上去非常勇猛。

我们来到二号坑，我一进门就看见了一个玻璃框，框里展出着一个完好无损的俑，这是一个跪射俑。他一只脚支撑身体，一只脚跪在地上，双手放在右侧，拿着弓箭，好像在往天上四处?望，观察哪里有目标。接着我看到了一个中级军官俑。他表情严肃，身披铠甲，笔挺地站立，手上拿着两把剑，好像在守卫秦始皇。

最威武的当然是高级军官俑了。他双眼望着前方，看上去非常威严，手下好像按着一把宝剑，随时准备大开杀戒。最可爱的当然是马俑啦!这是这么多马中唯一有尾巴的马。它长得非常高大、壮实，头上戴着铠甲，嘴巴和鼻子都被铠甲保护着，只有眼睛露在外面。我发现这匹马的前面有一个牵马的士兵，好像它的主人正准备驾马去巡逻呢。它的主人可能是一个巡逻兵。最酷的是一个立射俑。他眼望着前方，双手拿着弓箭，随时准备把弓箭拉足射向空中的目标。

这些兵马俑真是各种各样，栩栩如生啊!

关于压岁钱的由来，据说有一个传说。很久很久以前，有一个叫“崇”的小妖怪每到大年三十的晚上就来到人间摘破坏。它来到熟睡的孩子头上摸一下，孩子就吓得哇哇大哭，醒来后便开始说呓语。然后这些聪明的孩子都变成了傻子，每天只知道疯疯癫癫地玩。“崇”怕亮光，因此，人们每到大年三十的晚上，都点着灯，守在孩子的身边，不敢睡觉，这叫“守崇”。有一对老夫妻，年纪很大了才得到了个孩子。大年三十的晚上，夫妻俩点着蜡烛，守在孩子旁边，忽然吹来了一阵风，蜡烛灭了。“崇”飘到了孩子的头上，准备摸的时侯，枕头下的红包里闪出一道耀眼的红色光芒。“崇”一看大哭一顿，便逃走了。第二天，夫妻俩把自己发红包给孩子，把“崇”吓走的事情告诉大家。原来，那八枚铜钱是一位神仙变成的，他在暗中帮助孩子。

Good morning， ladies and gentlemen， boys and girls. Now ，It‘s my turn. My name is Edgar， a high school student. I am very honored to be here to give you a speech. Also it’s a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make a good performance today. The topic of my speech is “After studying here”.

Before I came here，I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries， which can‘t be got from my books in school. Three months ago， I took my first class. Unfortunately， I felt so embarrassed， because I even can’t speak any words， though I know I really love English .

After that， I took some of my tutor‘s advice and previewed the lesson that I’ll learn. What‘s more， In every class， I JUST try my best to say as much as possible. Now，I can only remember It’s a really hard time. What‘s worse， I had to go to my high school and went there at the same time.

After several weeks， I began to get used to the atmosphere in web .At least I’m not afraid to speak in front of my tutor and  foreign teachers.

During web‘s period，I found I had improved a lot， both physically and mentally. For example， how to be a confident person， how to plan for my future. Yuandan is the first day of the lunar calendar. It is the day when the earth has circled the sun for one round and is beginning another circling. It represents a new beginning when people send off the old days and welcome the new ones. As the first day of the year, Yuandan has been considered to be the most important festival since the ancient times.

Customs

1. Kaisui(beginning of the year): According to the Chinese traditional custom, starting from haishi(9p.m. to 11p.m.)of the last evening of the twelfth lunar month, each family must prepare offering s to deities at the altar. At the same time, they too prepare food for the New Year day: The whole family will then stay awake together to attend to the year(called shou sui). After haishi, zishi(11p.m. to 1a.m.)will come, and this is the arrival of New Year(Yuandan). At this moment, people begin the celebration with fireworks. Vegetarian and sweet foods will then be placed are the altar for offerings, and incense be burned to welcome the deities. In the ancient times, it was believed that haishi connected the two years and thus was called kaisui.

At the same night, some families will follow the instruction in Tongshu and place preparing altar in the direction of the "fortune deity" during the "fortune time" to receive the deity. If the direction of the "fortune deity" is at the "ill position", people will choose to receive "happy deity" or "noble deity" instead.

2. There is an apparent difference in the custom of food taking on Yuandan between the Chinese in the northern and southern regions. The northern Chinese has the habit of taking jiao zi(dumpling made of flour with vegetable and meat wrapped inside). Some people may put a sweet or a coin inside jiao zi, hoping to have a sweet year after tasting the sweet and a wealthy year after tasting the coin. on the other hand, the southern Chinese have the taboo for killing on Yuandan. Therefore, they do not take meat in tee morning of Yuandan, so as to avoid bloodshed or mutual slaughter. In order to evade misfortune, they have the first meal of this day without meat. Instead, they take vegetarian food for the sake of virtue.

3. What is special during the New Year is that parents or elders will distribute red packets(ang pao or ya sui qian)to the children. People in the ancient times were more particular in giving away the red packets: the distribution took place on the eve of New Year so that the kids could suppress the past year and enter the New Year. Ya sui has the meaning of overcoming the unpredictable future. Representing the wishes for the healthy psychological growth of the children, ya sui qian symbolises the elders hope to see their children overcome all the unpredictable elements brought by the "year".

第二天，村子里的人都开始搬家了，只有老奶奶还待在村子里，她把最疼爱的孙子交给了村长。这时，有一位老爷爷走过来问老奶奶能不能给他点东西吃，老奶奶就把昨晚吃剩的饺子给了老爷爷。

老爷爷问：“村民们都忙着搬家，你为什么还待在村子里？”老奶奶回答说：“我的儿子、儿媳都被年给吃了，我也不想活了。”老爷爷说：“我有办法对付年。只要你再做一些饺子给我吃，然后给我一块红布和一些竹子就够了。”老奶奶半信半疑，但还是照做了。

晚上，年又来了。老爷爷披上红布，点燃了竹子。年听见烧竹子的声音，看见红布所发出的光芒，被吓跑了。

第三天，村民们回来看见老奶奶安然无恙，就问老奶奶到底怎么回事。老奶奶把事情一五一十的说了一遍，村民这才醒悟。每当过年的时候，大家就吃饺子、放鞭炮、穿新衣，从此年再也没来危害百姓了。
