Some families may invite a lion dance troupe as a symbolic ritual to usher in the Lunar New Year as well as to evict bad spirits from the premises. Members of the family who are married also give red packets containing cash to junior members of the family, mostly children and teenagers.

While fireworks and firecrackers are traditionally very popular, some regions have banned them due to concerns over fire hazards, which have resulted in increased number of fires around New Years and challenged municipal fire departments work capacity. For this reason, various city governments (e.g., Hong Kong, and Beijing, for a number of years) issued bans over fireworks and firecrackers in certain premises of the city. As a substitute, large-scale fireworks have been launched by governments in cities like Hong Kong to offer citizens the experience.

中国的传统文化有很多，其中春节是中国最隆重的传统节日，也是我最期待最喜欢的节日。

每年春节，街上挂满了红红的灯笼，彩旗飘飘，商场里面是人山人海，在购买年货，可热闹了。到了大年三十这天，妈妈在准备丰盛的食物，我们小朋友们都穿上了漂亮的新衣服，爸爸还会带我去逛花街，深圳是禁止放烟花炮竹的城市，但是偶尔也会听到一阵阵鞭炮声，为节日增添了喜庆的色彩。吃完年夜饭后，我们一家人就会坐在一起一边吃水果一边观看春节联欢晚会，精彩的表演常把我们逗得哈哈大笑。

我喜欢春节，更喜欢外婆家的春节，它给我的童年带来无限的快乐，我期待下一个春节快点到来。

在我们中国，无论是城市还是农村，家家户户都要过春节。

过年前夕，妈妈带我去市场买年货。市场的人有很多很多。妈妈和我买了很多年货有瓜子、花生、鸡、鸭、鱼、肉、火腿、可乐还有各种各样的名烟名酒。我们还买了好多的烟花。哈哈，满载而归，我们高兴极了。到了家里妈妈扫地，爸爸擦地，哥哥连忙把春联贴上。春联上面写着恭喜发财，吉祥如意。姐姐把窗花贴好。妈妈为了迎接春节，甚至把墙也刷的白白的。这时爷爷走过来装着一本正经的样子说“这个年咱们好好庆祝一下”。这时妈妈去给我们买了红衣服，红衣服表示着吉祥红火。

听奶奶说“古代有一个怪物“年”经常在春节里出来做怪，破坏庄园，还吃小孩呢!但是“年”并不是什么都不怕。据说“年”有三怕，怕火、怕炮、怕响。”所以过春节的时候，必须放炮，穿红衣服。

到了春节那天，我们高高兴兴地穿着漂亮的红衣服。放炮，吃团圆饭，一起团团圆圆的过大年。

Yuandan is the first day of the lunar calendar. It is the day when the earth has circled the sun for one round and is beginning another circling. It represents a new beginning when people send off the old days and welcome the new ones. As the first day of the year, Yuandan has been considered to be the most important festival since the ancient times.

Customs

1. Kaisui(beginning of the year): According to the Chinese traditional custom, starting from haishi(9p.m. to 11p.m.)of the last evening of the twelfth lunar month, each family must prepare offering s to deities at the altar. At the same time, they too prepare food for the New Year day: The whole family will then stay awake together to attend to the year(called shou sui). After haishi, zishi(11p.m. to 1a.m.)will come, and this is the arrival of New Year(Yuandan). At this moment, people begin the celebration with fireworks. Vegetarian and sweet foods will then be placed are the altar for offerings, and incense be burned to welcome the deities. In the ancient times, it was believed that haishi connected the two years and thus was called kaisui.

At the same night, some families will follow the instruction in Tongshu and place preparing altar in the direction of the "fortune deity" during the "fortune time" to receive the deity. If the direction of the "fortune deity" is at the "ill position", people will choose to receive "happy deity" or "noble deity" instead.

2. There is an apparent difference in the custom of food taking on Yuandan between the Chinese in the northern and southern regions. The northern Chinese has the habit of taking jiao zi(dumpling made of flour with vegetable and meat wrapped inside). Some people may put a sweet or a coin inside jiao zi, hoping to have a sweet year after tasting the sweet and a wealthy year after tasting the coin. on the other hand, the southern Chinese have the taboo for killing on Yuandan. Therefore, they do not take meat in tee morning of Yuandan, so as to avoid bloodshed or mutual slaughter. In order to evade misfortune, they have the first meal of this day without meat. Instead, they take vegetarian food for the sake of virtue.

3. What is special during the New Year is that parents or elders will distribute red packets(ang pao or ya sui qian)to the children. People in the ancient times were more particular in giving away the red packets: the distribution took place on the eve of New Year so that the kids could suppress the past year and enter the New Year. Ya sui has the meaning of overcoming the unpredictable future. Representing the wishes for the healthy psychological growth of the children, ya sui qian symbolises the elders hope to see their children overcome all the unpredictable elements brought by the "year".

A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of a new year，I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success.”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then ，at the beginning ，Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others.

But ，what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible. While，I will do my best to live up with what I have planned，and the result will prove it.

今天，我们的研学队伍来到莫高窟，七月的大西北，太阳一出来，戈壁滩如同火炉，人们不敢在太阳底下多呆一秒钟。但这是不能阻挡我的热情的，老实说，走进莫高窟，是我向往已久的愿望。

原来，出于保护的需要，莫高窟内是没有任何照明设备的，黑暗、清凉、气味重。因为事先有老师的介绍，我们了解到了莫高窟的历史价值与文化价值，知道一些关于它多难的历史，所以，走进窟内，大家表情严肃，无人说笑打闹。

在解说员手电筒灯光的照射下，石窟里的景象逐渐清晰。那一处处壁画，生动形象、栩栩如生，着实令人眼前一亮。窟内一般由塑像和壁画组成，伏羲、女娲、雷神、飞天……这些只在书中看到的神话人物，在壁画上屡屡出现。在导游的介绍下，我才知道，壁画也好，雕塑也要，他们有许多都是在讲述着一则则佛家故事，非常生动形象。我想，用这种方式传递佛教是很能激起人兴趣的。

记忆最深的是关于佛祖的雕塑。佛祖的神色第一眼给人带来的是惊悚，但看久了后，便能体会到那神色中实则包含着的是佛门的慈悲。石窟中见到最多的是七个佛像，它们的排位也都相同，佛祖释迦摩尼居中，它的佛像最大，雕刻得也最为精细，但令我印象最为深刻的是佛祖像的左侧那尊佛像，释迦摩尼的大弟子苦行僧，他的裸露出的肌肤似乎真的历经了千磨万难，皮包骨瘦，那根根肋骨都能清晰的瞧见，深邃的目光中透露出他对前方艰险磨难的坚定与无所畏惧，我不禁为这群古代艺术家们的高超技艺折服。

这些雕塑美中不足便是有些部位缺损了，后来我才知道，它们有的是因自然原因，但更多的是人为造成的，到底是为什么呢?

这时讲解员向我们解答了。原来，这莫高窟中的许多经文、壁画、雕塑都已流落异国了，当时中国正处于纷乱状态，那时的政事怎有精力来看管这处东方的卢浮宫呢。

半天的时间很短，但让我领略了中华文化的历史悠久，艺术博大精深;也让我认识到了文化艺术繁荣的背后，一定有一个强大的社会支撑。

春节是中国人最重要的节日之一，从其中许多地方可以看到文化传统的内涵。春节的时候能够一家人团圆，这是大多数人来说，是最重要的事。春节的习俗有发红包、吃年夜饭、放鞭炮等。从中，也可以看到传统文化对中华人民的影响。

过年的时候小孩子可以从长辈手上拿红包，于是在我小的时候我就很喜欢过年。现在我大了，不好意思再拿了，但是大人们还是要塞的，还说这是习惯，图个吉利。要我说这应该说是一种习俗，也是长辈给新生儿辟邪驱魔的护身符。其中蕴藏着中华民族的礼仪文化。

礼仪即礼节与仪式。中国古代有“五礼”之说，祭祀之事为吉礼，冠婚之事为嘉礼，宾客之事为宾礼，军旅之事为军礼，丧葬之事为凶礼。民俗界认为礼仪包括生、冠、婚、丧四种人生礼仪。实际上礼仪可分为政治与生活两大部类。政治类包括祭天、祭地、宗庙之祭，祭先师先圣、尊师乡饮酒礼、相见礼、军礼等。生活类礼仪的起源，按荀子的说法有“三本”即“天地生之本”，“先祖者类之本”，“君师者治之本”。在礼仪中，丧礼的产生最早。丧礼于死者是安抚其鬼魂，于生者则成为分长幼尊卑、尽孝正人伦的礼仪。在礼仪的建立与实施过程中，孕育出了中国的宗法制礼仪的本质是治人之道，是鬼神信仰的派生物。人们认为一切事物都有看不见的鬼神在操纵，履行礼仪即是向鬼神讨好求福。因此，礼仪起源于鬼神信仰，也是鬼神信仰的一种特殊体现形式。“三礼”(《仪礼》、《礼记》、《周礼》）的出现标志着礼仪发展的成熟阶段。宋代时，礼仪与封建伦理道德说教相融合，即礼仪与礼教相杂，成为实施礼教的得力工具之一。行礼为劝德服务，繁文缛节极尽其能。直到现代，礼仪才得到真正的改革，无论是国家政治生活的礼仪还是人民生活礼仪都改变成无鬼神论的新内容，从而成为现代文明礼仪。 在春节吃上团圆饭是件快乐的事情。我也只是津于“食”而不乐于“品”的。说起来饮食是一种文化，不是会吃的人都懂的，我也只有靠他人的文章来写这个。

王蒙在《论吃》中说“谈吃不恋吃，广用博闻，能上能下，一箪食一瓢饮，不改其乐；稀奇古怪，不惧其异；讲究排场，不失其志；以吃会友，意不在吃，不吃亦友；庶几可以言吃。吃之为吃之，不吃为不吃，是吃也。”

黄裳在《论烹调》中道“讲究烹调是一个有长久灿烂文明的国家的重要特色，是文化史的一个重要方面。它与穷奢极欲的大吃大喝并不是一回事。用人人可得的材料，调治出人人喜欢的食物，这工作，不只是重要的，简直可以说是神圣的。”

邓友梅在《论饮食文化》中赞“ 饮食也是文化，对这种观点我很赞同。我们中国人在吃上向来讲究，这种观点无疑更能提高我们的文化地位，增加我们的自豪感。我想，若把饮食纳入文化范畴，它可能是最容易从事又最难取得成就的一个项目。其实，饮食文化是最讲实效的文化，不能靠哗众取宠，而要看真招子。不一定非上名贵菜肴，祖传绝技，只要普通中见出众，一般中显特殊，就是好活儿。"

吴世昌在《烹饪是一种文明的标志》中叹“ 烹饪是一种艺术，也是一种文明的标志。我以前曾说，中国烹饪和中国园林，将来一定风行世界。现在美国已有第一所中国园林"明轩"，中国饭馆则自清末即在英国和欧陆有华侨开设。但因厨师不是道地的受过训练的中国名手，所以过去不甚发达。今后的趋势，可以断言一定会蒸蒸日上。”

在中国传统文化教育中的阴阳五行哲学思想、儒家伦理道德观念、中医营养摄生学说，还有文化艺术成就、饮食审美风尚、民族性格特征诸多因素的影响下，创造出彪炳史册的中国烹饪技艺，形成博大精深的中国饮食文化。

从特质看，中国饮食文化突出养助益充的营卫论（素食为主，重视药膳和进补），五味调和的境界说（风味鲜明，适口者珍，有“舌头菜”之誉），奇正互变的烹调法（厨规为本，灵活变通），畅神怡情的美食观（文质彬彬，寓教于食）等4大属性，有着不同于海外各国饮食文化的天生丽质。

从影响看，中国饮食文化直接影响到日本、蒙古、朝鲜、韩国、泰国、新加坡等国家，是东方饮食文化圈的轴心；与此同时，它还间接影响到欧洲、美洲、非洲和大洋洲，像中国的素食文化、茶文化、酱醋、面食、药膳、陶瓷餐具和大豆等，都惠及全世界数十亿人。

过年放炮是一个传统的习俗。据说是因为要赶走怪物的。而说“怪物”，“鬼”，“神”之类者，让我想到了宗教这的东西，在这反面，禅宗，佛教文化的发展是一个典型代表。

佛教在中国的发展可分为两个历史阶段。一是吸收阶段，从东汉到魏晋南北朝，再到隋唐，共七八百年。这时中国主要是吸收印度传来的佛教文化。二是佛教中国化的阶段，隋唐以来，天边台、华严、特别是禅宗的形成和发展，表明了佛教在中国已具特色，逐渐走上独立发展的道路，成了中华民族文化的重要组成部分。唐代贞观年间，玄奘大师从印度留学归来后，标志着中国向印度学习佛教的过程基本结束，并在隋唐时期形成了十大宗派。就中国大乘佛教的八大派而言，三论、唯识、律宗和密宗的印度文化气息较为显著，而天台、华严、禅宗则中国文化的气息就重得多——在印度是难以找到这种文化气息的。

虽传说禅宗肇始于齐梁，但真正的开山祖师应是六祖慧能。禅宗从分 析名相、辩驳教理的百家争鸣盛况中站出来，独树“不立文字，教外别传”的大旗，并与生活打成一片，从生活中体验人生宇宙的真谛。在师徒授受方面，更是在日用动静的起心动念、嬉笑怒骂、激扬指点、杀活纵夺中实施。这虽然是马祖之后才大见开展，但具体端倪，都为《坛经》所蕴涵。故使禅宗成为似宗教而非宗教，似哲学而非哲学，似艺术而非艺术的法宝。不但对佛教具有革命性，对欲得解脱的人们创造了一个历史上举世全无的特殊思想体系。

虽然禅宗的许多特点都带有儒道等中国文化的思想，而禅宗的根本目的——彻证“无生法忍”——却是印度佛教思想的精华所在，为中土文化所无。而禅宗内浸透了这一点，这无疑是接受了佛教思想才开放出的璀灿之花。

有一些人对“中国化的佛教”不以为然，认为应以印度佛教为标准。其实禅宗乃至天台、华严都是中国文化发展的产物，是中华民族的骄傲。如果抽取出禅宗的成分，中国思想史、中国哲学史就讲不下去。在唐代至五代之后，禅宗成了中国佛教的主流和核心，就代表着佛教。不了解禅宗，就没有资格说了解了中国 文化。

在唐武宗掀起的遍及全国的灭法运动打击下，除禅宗外的所有宗派都全军覆没了。只有六祖大师开创的禅宗禅宗，不仅安然度过了这一劫难，而且如雨后春笋般地在灭法运动后的几十年间遍布全国，取得了中国佛教的主导地位。所以，如果没有禅宗，佛教在中国的生命能否延续至今就成了问题。而历史本身也表明了，唐末灭法后一千多年来，中国佛教的发展主要就是禅宗的发展（不包括藏传佛教）。正是由于禅宗结合了中国文化的实际，才有如此绵长、辉煌的发展，也才有今天播及欧美的能力。

禅宗的方法简捷可行，并能贯穿和深化儒道思想，易为士大夫们接受，有普遍性；而且其本身含摄了佛教的全部精义，有蓬勃的生命力。一个禅者本身就是一粒种籽，不论在何种环境中都可以生根、发芽、开花、结果。较其它诸宗有不可比拟的优越性，遂使它在一千多年的历史中成为中国佛教的主流和主体。

中国的传统文化影响深远，如今许多国外领导人每逢中国春节时，都向中国人民、国外华人拜年，道贺。春节虽然只是一个节日，但它包含了许多我们中国人的精神及传统文化，从其中的每一个习俗都可以看出包含的内涵。近些年来，许多国外节日走进中国，并且有些节日甚至超过了本土节日的热闹程度。春节更重要的体现的是家的含义，一个人如果没有家，更不知道根在哪里，那么无论他有多么的成功，整个人也是漂浮着，也没办法安定下来。所以说春节对我们中国人来说，其文化的内涵是非常重要的。
