It is a celebrating day. I got in touch with Michael whom I have been losing contact for one year.

It is really magic. I was searching online aimlessly yesterday when an idea struck me suddenly: since Ben can find out my secret by keying in my name in the search engines, why can’t I do so, either?

I intended to find out something about Ben in revenge in the first place, but soon extend my name list to a wider category. It was then that I recalled Michael suddenly.

We have lost contact since our last correspondence in my senior 3. He mentioned to me in his last letter that he was preparing for going to UK to further his education. I, shamefully, was too busy to reply his mail then. When I was recommended to ZJU and won the final freedom, I thought he had already been in UK so I had no idea where to write him.

I used to think that we would never meet again. However, when I browsed the entries about him, I found out excitedly that he is still in P.R.C.!!

Without a moment hesitation, I ran upstairs to my dorm and found out my old address book. Thank goodness, his home no was still there.

After 3 times calling with no answer replies, I eventually got him on the phone. He was more surprised than I could imagine that when I asked for his hp no he was too nervous to remember it. :P Hehe.

Life is enjoyable in moments such like this. Old friends meet again surprisingly, on a road of their own ways to their dreams. they look at the face of each other, and recognize the old pal. It is such moment that makes me feel grateful to life: whenever I set off for a new destination, I see I have friends in the same direction, with whom I won’t feel alone any more.

May 12th is an ordinary day in 2008,itis in this day that shocking earthquake happened in Sichuan province,China.The earthquake destroyed nearly everything in Wenchan county Sichuan province. It was terrible.We cant describle the scene what we saw with any words.thousands of people were injured even died. And thousands of children became such unlucky ones who lost fathers or mothers , they longed to have families to continue their lives .I am sympathetic to their fate ! But I believed that we can fight against the fate and change it .For example ,there many people keeping living without food or water for about 100 hours during the earthquake!

What an unbelievable thing it is !their great spirits showed the powerful life vitality of humans!However,they must keep fighting against the death .Many schools were destroyed and there were many students and teachers who left us forever.Sadness,hoplessness and different kinds of danger spreaded out here and there !

But ,fortunately ,love is around us :the Communist party helps us ,the army helps us ,the people all over the world help us .They offer us with money ,goods ,love and so on !For example ,li lian ji, a warm-hearted man ,offered us with 20 million yuan !

With the help of the such a large love ,we will over come the damage of the earthquake and face our beautiful future !

Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern,

we find that some people hold the idea of living in the country, while others

prefer living in the city. In my opinion, I prefer the city life, though it has

advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, city life is very colorful. City is the center of the

surrounding area. So, it is also the most booming place having the best things.

There are many great things and wonderful activities in the city, while there

isn’t in the country. For example, there are KFC, wonderful shopping mall,

delicious food from various places, dancing club, different kinds of activities

and so on. We can also learn the culture from all the countries. Despite city

life is so wonderful, it still has many disadvantages. Nowadays, with the

improvement of people’s living standard, people have more cars and more people

come to city, and then the city becomes more and more crowd. As a result,

To sum up, every coin has two sides. Living in the city also has good side

and bad aspect. Whether like living in city or not depends on individual

thinking. As myself, I like living in city though I know the disadvantage of

living in city.

The Pressure From College Students

In China, the number of college students increases every year, as more and more students get the college education, college students are under great pressure. We hear from the news that a lot of students can’t find jobs after graduation, then the next year, the other students gets graduating, the two years’ students compete for the jobs! I just can’t imagine such situation. The pressure from college students is getting greater, they should relieve it now and then, because too much pressure will bring bad effect, some may distort their minds, once their emotion can’t relieve in time, some tragical things may happen. It is said that some students suicide themselves because they have much pressure. Everybody will have pressure, but we must know that pressure brings motivation, at the same time, it also brings burden, we have to balance it. When we deal with it well, we can live a better life.

这部手机非常实用，能变大变小，大的时候可以当电视看，小的时候可以当掌上游戏机。除了这些，还有其它很多的功能，让你想都想不到呢!

如果这手机被人偷走了，它在一分钟之内会自动报警。等警察把小偷抓住之后，手机的微型监视头会向手机内部发出信息。这时，手机就会对警察准确地说出主人的名字、住址等等。这样警察就能很快地把手机送还给主人。

Recently,accroding to the report that is a child to help a older man who fall down.unfortunely,the older man is a bad cheater,he pretented.The report pays a lot of people attention.

There are different opinions among people as to   should we help strangers,some people suggest that is a virtue.As we all know a words said that help others is help yourself.

Another thinks that it likely would take trouble to their life.Its very dangerous.They rather than accept social critizise.

As far as I am concerned,I agree with first opinion.I believe that someone should be help with me.Whatever the social change,I still do that I think right things and never change.We help strangers,on the same time,we would potect ourself.

当我刚踏入这个班的时候，第一个看到的一位老师就是我班的数学老师，她的个子矮矮的，有着一头乌黑的头发，有着一张面带笑容的脸，此时，就使我感觉到她是一位和蔼的老师。

学习是什么?是半夜十二点在试卷前的叫苦连天?是用题海的数量去战胜考试题目的质量?是不算散漫不算认真然后平平淡淡拿个中等的分数?还是潇洒地学习潇洒地复习然后潇洒地面对倒数的排名?

上个学期的时候我不明白该用什么样的态度面对学习，以为考试的结果好坏只与运气有关，而没有想过自己要刻苦认真，但那个学期期末的时候突然出现了转折。

记得那次拿到第三单元英语测验的试卷，心情很低落，不仅仅是因为知道回家会被数落，更是对自己很失望。于是下半学期的英语我学得格外认真，课上不会和同桌聊天、不会做其他的作业、不会时不时走神。学语法部分的时候，哪怕是已经知道的语法点也还是会列表格整理，很多一知半解的知识点会去问老师并且翻阅语法书。只是后来几张语法卷子做的结果还是不理想，很多理论已经掌握，可运用到实际题目却会混淆。持着用不理想提醒自己应该继续努力的态度，我正视了那些满目疮痍的练习卷，找了很多与错误类型相似的.题目打印下来，边做题边翻语法书找规律总结经验。

天终究遂人愿，英语期末考试的成绩拿了全班第一。拿到分数的那一刻，我终于真正认识了学习。后来的很多时刻都与那一刻有着相同的惊喜，比如词汇卷默了满分的时候，比如数学测验比平均分高了十二分的时候，比如从前只能考72的科学考试新的一次考到了95的时候……

总之，在那些大大小小的时刻里，我明白，学习它，只是想要你一贯的认真对待，并且找到方法。它，其实不难。

或许我做不到像考拉小巫那些拼，那样孤注一掷。但她的生活态度和想法对我来说很有启发。

书中的“傻子哲学”很有意思：为什么傻子能成功，是因为傻子很傻，他不管自己是不是能做成，也不管别人怎么笑话他，也不管遇到多少困难，他只是一个人傻头傻脑地一直做。而聪明人很聪明，他总是会考虑自己目前的目标对不对，会不会有更好的办法，能不能抄捷径省时间。最后，聪明人选了一条路又一条路，每条路都刚走了一点点就又换，所以，他总是在离起点不远的地方徘徊。而傻子却在一条路上一直走，虽然他速度慢，但他一直都在坚持。最后，傻子比聪明人先到达了终点。”其实傻子的哲学不复杂，就两个字“坚持”。

这是书中最让我感动的一幕：十二月里天气越来越冷，楼道里也很冷，但是我每天都把板凳从自习室里搬出来，坐在楼道的走廊里，把电脑架腿上，一边计时连口语题，一边给自己录音。说一道录一道，录完以后认真听，不满意了就重录，每道题都是录到自己完全满意的地步才继续下一题。当时我一直在矫正牙齿，满嘴上下都戴着布满细铁丝的牙套。由于练口语的缘故，嘴唇和舌头总是被无数次划破，一被冷风吹就特别疼，吃饭的时候也很困难，经常饿肚子。

to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago.

It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof.

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In

addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and

professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of

waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a

foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a

message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also,

the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of

delivery.

However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I

might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also,

there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last,

Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too

much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the

Internet.

Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to

me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I

can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

When someone asks me: What is your Chinese dream? I will answer it without

any hesitation: to be a good doctor. The reason why I want to be a doctor is

that I want to save people’s lives as possible as I can. When I was young, I had

a terrible car accident. Thanks to the doctors, they brought me back to life.

From then on, to be a good doctor has always been an inspiration to me. I will

study hard to make sure that my dream will come true in the future.

Chinese dream is made up of every ordinary people’s dreams. We should do

our best to make our dream come true.

As the development of the society, people want to conquer the environment,

they use the high technology to change the environment, when people are

satisfied with what they did to the nature, the nature is starting to teach

human being a lesson. In the movie The Day After Tomorrow, people were in the

great disaster that caused by the greenhouse effect, it just like the end of the

world, there was no way for people to avoid such great disaster. The movie

reminds people of the result they did harm to the environment, it will revenge

people, people have to face the disaster. It is very important to protect the

environment, people should get along with the environment.

We can see such signs as “No Smoking” in some public places, which is a

kind of measure taken to ban smoking in public places. However, concerning about

this measures, different people hold divergent opinions. The smokers protest

against that it is a kind of action to deprive of their free right, while the

non-smokers are in favor of banning smoking in public places.

In my opinion, I am inclined to support the latter one—smoking should be

banned in public places. There are reasons accounting for my point. For one

thing, people will be harmed by the second-hand smoking if someone smokes in

public places, especially the infants and children. For another, banning smoking

in public places is also beneficial to the smokers. If they are banned to smoke

in public places, they will restrain themselves from smoking and smoke less. In

the meantime, it is a contribution to reduce the air pollution.

Therefore, I advocate that smoking in public places should be banned so

that we can breathe the fresh air and suffer less from the second-hand smoking.
