My mother has no idea that her ninetieth birthday is coming up. She has no notion of the time of day, the day of the week. the season of the year, the year of the century. 第三步，连接词的运用，使文章连贯、流畅。我把这些词分为8类，叫做“畅词”，往往学生由于中西方语言的差异，会忽视这一点，所以在授课中会通过大量的练习巩固和加强学生的印象。而且不仅要写，还写出高水平的畅词，因为高考是选拔性考试，要做到“人无我有,人有我优”。比如，“首先”这个表示次序的畅词，一般同学一定想到的是firstly 或者first of all。可是我建议学生启用to begin with, 或者initially (这个是建议水平较好的启用)。“然而”，绝大部分启用but, however，我建议学生采用on the contrary 或者oppositely。

21世纪,是一个信息时代.网络,成了大家必不可少的通信工具,它进入各家各户的电脑,让人们不用出门就能与其它人随意交谈.可它却是一把双刃剑,一不小心就会掉进它的陷阱。事物就像一把双刃剑，具有两面性，既有其有利的一面，也有其弊端的一面，那么如何看待网络这把双刃剑?

大多数的家长不同意孩子上网，他们知道上网的危害。我是一名六年级学生，知道青少年上网至少有这三大害处：

一是影响了学习，废除了学业。青春期是学习文化知识的黄金时期，应集中全部精力搞好学习。由于很多中小学生自制力不强，一旦上网成瘾，则一发不可收拾。逃课、晚归，泡在网吧中，消磨光阴，逃避紧张的学习，虚度自己的花样年华。迷恋于浪漫的网恋中而无法自拔，似乎感染了“QQ病毒”，打开书看不下去，读书不愿意张口，拿出笔来不愿写字，由于晚上熬夜，整天就像吸大烟似的，昏昏沉沉，怎么不使成绩一滑千里呢?哎，真是浪费了青春，荒废了学业，挥霍了钱财，影响了前途，到头来后悔终生。

二是上网严重损害了我们的身体健康。由于长时间上网，视力、记忆力明显下降，加上缺乏户外锻炼，缺少睡眠，作息没有规律，身体免疫力降低，各种疾病随时可能侵袭你。睁眼看看从网吧出来的年轻人，一个个眼珠凸起，脸色苍白，一副黄皮柳叶，营养不良的样子，真可怜!

Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

We couldnt believe that it was a village. The buildings for the farmers were very beautiful, the streets were very clean and there were many flowers in front of the houses. In the middle of the village there was a school with a wonderful building and a large playground. All the children in the village study there.

The farmers got richer by planting vegetables and raising silkworms. In their houses there were colour TV sets, fridges,washing machines, new furniture and even motorbikes. All these showed the farmers life was getting better and better.

The great changes had attracted foreigners. Today some of them would come to visit it. We were happy for the farmers. We hope the farmers will be richer and happier.

We havebeen told when we were a little child that we help others as they are in need. Weoften do as what we were told in the childhood, but when we grow up nowadays weare not dare to help others.
