在我一天天的盼望中，新年终于到了，人们顿时忙碌起来。卖烟花爆竹的小摊子也出来 做生意了，大街小巷一片沸腾的景象。这天晚上，时不时会有几户人家把烟花点燃，放上天去;有时还有几个调皮的小孩也来 凑热闹，手里面拿着“甩炮”，往地上扔去，害得大地疼得毕毕剥剥地叫着。各家各户把灯打开，有的人家在看电视;有的人家在吃团圆 饭;还有的人家在家里开家庭演唱会。天上是五颜六色的火花结成彩，地上是万万千千的灯火一片红。

看电视了，听电视里主持人说：“五、四、三、二、一，春节到了!”我们连忙拿着所有的烟花，跑到楼下，放了起来。这时，似乎所有的人们都一起放起了烟花。烟花就像美丽的花儿绽开了笑脸，漂亮极了!我感觉我在梦里一样。人们都欢呼起来。我拿着我最喜欢的老鼠烟花，把其它的烟花当做敌人，用老鼠烟花瞄准其他的烟花，一放，啊!我的烟花击中其它的烟花了。该放鞭炮了，我拿了一个，用打火机一点，呯，我的头发被炸得冲起来了!惹得爸爸妈妈哈哈大笑，都说我这是爆炸头型。晚上,我和爸爸妈妈也在一起说说笑话，讲讲故事，我的心中顿时想起了一首诗：

年三十午夜吃饺子，也是每家必不可少的。老人们都说吃饺子好。吃饺子包含着非常丰富的文化意义。饺子谐音交子，就是相交子时，交好运发大财。因饺子的形状又像金元宝，故又象征团圆和财富。

大年初五俗称“破五”，意思是人们要走出家门进行户外活动。这天上午我和外公外婆沿着河堤，从将军码头一直走到新华码头。这里是滑冰场，男女老少人头攒动，人们身着五颜六色的节日新装，好像给冰场上装点了盛开的鲜花。人们有的在滑冰、有的在打冰车。还有的在冰道上从高处往下放冰车，大家玩的真尽兴!大人、孩子和老人，一片欢歌笑语……

正月初一子时新年开始，家家户户燃放鞭炮，称为“开正”，还要在门前备清茶、糖果，焚香，称为“拜正”。初一日人人早起，穿新衣服烧香点烛，祭拜天地祖先。小辈向长辈拜年，长辈随即赐以红包。

在“开正”的时候，家人都要吃点红糖线面汤。糖，意为甜蜜;线面，意为长寿，即祈求全家幸福长寿。

初一日不吃粥，以免往后出门遇雨;不往户外倒垃圾，忌“财气外泄”。此外还有不不讨债，不打骂孩子等禁忌。

原来，以前过年还有一种放鞭炮的习俗，来源于“年兽”的故事。很久以前有一只“年兽”，长期居住深海底，到了除夕就跃出海面到处作恶。有一年一个老人用放炮，穿红衣，贴红春联的方法驱赶走“年兽”，这才得以平静，此后这个方法就流传开来。但是现在广州禁止燃放烟花爆竹，所以我们就不再进行这个活动了。

除夕这一天对我国来说是极为重要的。这天晚上，我们全家准备除旧迎新，吃团年饭。

吃年夜饭，是春节家家户户最热闹愉快的时候。大年夜.丰盛的年菜摆满一桌 ，全家团聚，围坐桌旁，共吃团圆饭。人们既是享受满桌的佳肴，也是享受那份快乐的气氛，桌上有鸡、鹅、烧肉等等，一般少不了两样东西，一是火锅，一是鱼。火锅热气腾腾，说明红红火火;“鱼”和“余”谐音，喻意“年年有余”。最后一道甜食，祝福往后的日子甜甜蜜蜜。
