在过年前夕就热闹了起来。街上一辆辆大客车在车子中穿梭着。店里人更多，因为人们要准备好吃的、喝的、穿的、用的，好在新年显出万象更新的气象。小孩子们自然不忘买烟花爆竹，看到喜欢的玩意一定会买下。

在腊月二十九就更热闹了。家家户户赶做年菜，其中鸡和鱼是必不可少的，因为鸡(吉)祥如意，年年有鱼(余)。有的人家还会做年糕，年年糕(高)嘛!男女老少穿起新衣，门外贴起了红红的对联，屋内欢笑声连绵不断。大人们端出花生瓜子在门外边吃边聊。孩子们也耐不住性子，东跑西串。

夜幕降临，大伙儿都去屋子里吃团圆饭了，只有那些工作无法调休的人在外面过年。大大小小的菜盘子摆满了整张桌子，每盘菜都是那么诱人，色香味俱全呀!晚饭后，鞭炮声响起来，“噼噼啪啪”各色的烟花将漆黑的夜空照得如同白昼一般，其中还闪着一些五颜六色的“小星星”。现在我们晚上还要看春节联欢晚会，慢慢等待着新年的钟声。如果哪一户人家能最早最准时地放爆竹，那他们来年一定红红火火。

正月初一是春节，春节又叫过年，它是我国的传统节日之一。

过年是我们小孩子最开心的一件事，因为可以穿新衣服、放鞭炮、走亲窜友、挂纸、拿红包……最开心的还是全天下的人回家团聚!

可是，小朋友们，你们有谁知道“年”的来历呢?就让我来告诉你们吧!在很久很久以前，有一个叫作“年”的怪兽住在森林里。冬天,动物们都过冬了,“年”没有食物吃，只好到村子里来抓人吃。后来聪明的人们穿上鲜艳的衣服，点起鞭炮，聚在一起，年害怕极了，就头也不回的跑了。

于是，每到冬天的时候，人们就穿上艳丽的衣服，放鞭炮，慢慢的就形成了我们现在过的春节。

对于中华民族而言，再没有什么节日能比春节更让人梦系魂萦、铭心刻骨，它以其神圣、隆重、喜庆、吉祥的浓郁特色，在人们心中打下牢牢的情结。这无与伦比的厚重情结，在漫长悠远的历史长河里，仿若一根风雨不蚀，亘古不朽的硕大红飘带，维系着泱泱华夏的繁衍生息，连结着百姓的幸福与苦难。
