Skipping classes is quite common in college campus in that students have more freedom on college than ever before. But why do they want to skip classes? Different students have different reasons concerning it.

There are some reasons given by some students. First, some students skip their classes just because they don’t like the classes. They think that some classes are quite boring and time-wasting, as well as they can’t learn a lot from the classes. Therefore, they skip this kind of classes to study individually. This is one of the reasons for high absence rate in some public courses. Second, many students skip their classes because they lack of self-discipline and are indulged in other things, such as playing online games. They cannot control themselves well and finally lost their aim and motivation to learn. In addition, oversleeping and being ill are also the reasons for class absence. They consider that their absence will not be noticed if they teachers don’t call over.

一些学生说了很多理由。首先，一些学生逃课仅仅只是因为他们不喜欢那门课。他们觉得一些课程是非常乏味、浪费时间的，而且从课堂上他们也学不到什么东西。因此，他们就逃了那一类课，然后去自习。这是一些公共课程中高缺勤率的原因之一。第二，很多学生逃课是因为他们缺乏自律并沉迷于其他事情，如，玩在线游戏。他们自控能力不是很好，终于会丢失学习目标和学习动机。另外，睡过头，生病也是上课缺席的原因。他们觉得如果老师不点名的话他们不去上课也不会被发现。

There are various reasons for skipping classes, but as far as I am concerned, skipping classes should not be advocated because students always can learn something from each class, no matter how boring the class is. In addition, skipping classes is a kind of waste of money. What’s more, attending classes is also a kind of respect for our teachers. Therefore, please attend each class as much as possible.

有各种各样的逃课理由，但我觉得不应该提倡不上课，因为每一门课学生都可以从中学到一些东西，不管那门课是有多么的无聊课。而且，逃课也是浪费钱的一种方式。更重要的是，去上课也是对老师的尊重。因此，请尽量地去上课吧。

About two weeks from now, college students will begin to enjoy their long summer holidays. Many are looking for odd jobs, of which tutoring is almost the most popular one.

These students say, by doing pan-time jobs, they can not only make some money for next terms tuition, but also enrich their holidays. They prefer to be tutors because this has more to do with what they have learned in class.

As a student, I myself have also been a tutor. But I didnt wait in line until I was chosen. I put up an advertisement with my school scripts attached. So, my suggestion to my fellow students is: be a tutor only when you are good at your courses.

Some people may believe that going to classes should be optional, but I disagree. I dont understand how university students can expect to learn anything if they dont attend classes. Personal experience can help people learn about themselves and the world outside the classroom, but when it comes to learning about academic subjects, students need to be in class.

In class they receive the benefit of the teachers knowledge. The best teachers do more than just go over the material in the class textbook. They draw their students into discussion of the material. They present opposing points of view. They schedule guest speakers to come, give the students additional information, or show documentary films on the subject.

在课堂上他们接受教师传授的知识的好处。好的老师不仅仅是照搬教科书上的材料。他们把他们的学生带入材料的探讨中。他们提出了相反的观点。他们安排嘉宾的到来，给学生带来更多的信息，或展示那个主题的纪录片。

Also, attending classes on any subject teaches more than just facts. It teaches students how to learn, how to absorb information and then apply what theyve learned to other situations. Their teacher is the best one to help them with these skills. They cant learn them just by reading the textbook.

同时，任何学科的课程所教的不仅仅只是事实。会教学生如何去学习，如何吸收信息，然后在其他情况下运用他们所学到的知识。老师是最好的人选来帮助他们掌握这些技能。那是他们不能仅仅通过阅读课本而学习到的。

Going to class also teaches students how to work with the other members of the class. Many times students will be given group assignments. This is different from what they did in secondary school. Here theyre with people from different backgrounds and experiences. In this situation, they learn how to handle working with people different from themselves to achieve a common goal.

去上课也教导学生如何与班上的其他人共处。很多时候学生要做小组作业。这与他们在中学中是不同的。在这里，他们有着不同的背景和经历。在这种情况下，他们学会了如何处理与自己不一样却有着共同的目标的人。

Going to class also teaches students responsibility and discipline. Having to be at a particular place at a particular time prepares themselves for getting a job. Being at a place on time with an assignment completed prepares them for a career.

去上课也教学生责任和纪律。必须在特定的时间、地点自己做好找工作的准备。在规定的地方按时完成任务是为找工作而做准备。

In short, by going to class, students learn more than just information from the teacher. They also learn how to learn, how to work with others, and how to work responsibly. These are not optional skills in life, so attending classes should not be optional in college.

总之，去上课的学生不仅仅是从教师身上学到知识。他们也学到如何学习，如何与他人合作，如何负责任地工作。这些都是生活必备的技能，所以不应该在大学上课是可选的。

经过为期多日的前期准备和计划，我们开展了此次的社会实践活动。以前总以为社会实践活动不是很重要，没有认真对待，但是通过这次的团队合作的实践调研，我意识到它不只是一个形式，其目的还是在于能让我们在此过程中培养团队合作的意识并且能够很好的与被调查的同学进行交流和沟通，同时还能够学习那些优秀和流行的宿舍文化。

我们调查的题目是大学生宿舍文化(或流行文化)现象调查与分析，我们经过讨论和实践后的调查问题深入程度适中，没有涉及到别人的隐私方面的事情，所以人们都能接受我们的问卷调查，调查中我发现大多数宿舍是存在流行文化的，例如有些宿舍会自己评比宿舍最佳学生，有些宿舍打造学习型宿舍等等。但是，有些宿舍依然存在着问题，如宿舍安全隐患问题，某些学生沉迷于网络等等。

在调研过程中，我们有愁苦、分歧，但更多的是欢乐、团结，所以也有沉甸甸的收获。这次调研活动让我明白了“艰辛知人生，实践长才干”的道理，也让我开阔了视野，并且认清了自己的位置，发现了自己的不足，感受到了团队合作的乐趣。相比于单人的调查，小组形式的调查更能锻炼我们的团队合作能力，在小组中享有指挥权和决定性的话语权是可以的，但不是唯一的，我们同在一个小组里，目的不是时刻展现你的领导能力，而是将一个小组时刻融合在一起，在小组中占得一席之地;有一定的发言权;有灵活的头脑;愿意倾听他人的建议;有较好的创造力这就够了，我们需要的是每个人都自觉的为这个小组出份力，而不是只听某个人在那里不停的指挥其他人。

经过了我们小组的工作分配，实地考察，问卷调查等形式，终于完成了这份调查报告，让我们都感到非常欣慰，这是我们小组成员齐心协力共同完成的。作为本次调研活动的组长，我在此次活动中不仅仅要去担当发放调查问卷的工作，同时还要负责搜集信息和进行材料的统计和整理工作，虽然每个人的分工不尽相同，但是每个人的贡献确实一样的，我终于体会到“众人拾材火焰高”这句话的真正含义。

对于这次实践调研活动，经过大家的分析，得出的结果是：我校大学生宿舍文化生活状况总体是和谐的，但是也存在一些不和谐的因素。这就需要我们大学生继续弘扬优秀的宿舍文化，摒弃腐朽的宿舍文化，丰富宿舍文化生活，提高自己的文化内涵。同时，学校应该更加重视对大学生宿舍文化发展的引导，防止不良宿舍文化的滋长和蔓延，并帮助大学生认识不良宿舍文化的危害，消除不良宿舍文化;大力提倡和鼓励优秀文化，使大学生养成良好的习惯，形成优秀的健康的向上的宿舍文化。

此次我们调研的目的就是解和掌握我校学生宿舍文化生活状况，以进一步提高我校大学生宿舍文化生活质量。针对宿舍现存的问题我们也为学校提出了几点建议：1. 改进宿舍管理制度，要加强对住宿生的监管，杜绝夜不归宿的现象而引发的安全隐患。2. 对大学生的网络使用情况进行有效监督和引导。网络娱乐是大学生接触最多的课余活动，运用得当会产生很多积极的方面的影响，运用不当则会产生很大的负面效应。因此，引导大学生形成健康的使用网络的习惯至关重要。3. 加强对宿舍学风文化的引导。学校应该加强这方面的积极引导，开展一些以舍风促学风的活动，帮助大学生养成良好学风。

总结整个调研活动，我觉得收获颇丰，即使我们在调查其中有碰过壁，尽管在发问卷的过程中有被人拒绝，或者是登门拜访的时候被人拒之门外的现象发生，可是还有更多的是支持和理解。更重要的是我领悟到了团队合作的重要性，个人的力量很渺小的，然而当把这些渺小的力量结合到一起时便会发生化学反应，释放出惊人的力量，这就是团队的作用。这次经历是我人生中的一次重要历程，我要把它当做我日后前进的动力，激励自己大步前行。
