中秋节的传说，五彩缤纷，其中嫦娥奔月神话故事流传最广。相传，有一名叫后羿的英雄，一口气射下了天上多余的九个太阳，因此受到百姓的爱戴和尊敬。后来娶了一位美丽善良的妻子，名叫嫦娥。一天，后羿巧遇王母娘娘，便向王母娘娘求得一包“不死药”，他把“不死药”交给嫦娥珍藏。有一次后羿外出狩猎，小人蓬蒙闯入后院内宅，威逼嫦娥交出“不死药”，嫦娥当机立断，拿出“不死药”，一口吞了下去。她的身体立时飘离地面，冲出窗户，向天上飞去。后羿知道此事后，悲痛欲绝，仰望星空，呼唤爱妻的名字，这时他惊奇的发现月亮中有一个晃动的身影，酷似嫦娥，他拼命朝月亮追去，可是无论怎么样也追不到，后羿无可奈何，又思念妻子，只好派人到嫦娥喜爱的后花园里摆上香案，放上蜜食甜果，遥祭在月宫里的嫦娥。百姓们闻知这一消息后，纷纷在月下摆设香案，向善良的嫦娥祈求吉安。从此，中秋节拜月的风俗便在民间传开了。

中秋节除了赏月、祭月习俗外，在这天还有人燃灯、吃月饼、饮酒的习俗。月饼在我国有着悠久的历史，早在殷周时期，有一种纪念大师闻仲的边蒲心的“大师饼 ”，它是我国月饼的“始祖”。在唐代，有一年中秋之夜， 唐太宗和杨贵妃赏月时，心潮澎湃，随口说出了“月饼”，从此月饼的名称便在民间逐渐传开。

这个传统佳节对于很多家庭来说，都有着许多的特别的意义，它代表着团圆，代表的收获。因此，一提到中秋节，满满的都是幸福与温馨!

Barack Obama who is the first black president in America will finish his last term of office soon. He is going to move away the White House and relieve his job as president. The Mid-Autumn is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house.
