Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. 记得有一次，我和我班同学下“兽棋”，我们在棋盘上摆好棋子儿，然后就开始下棋。我要的是红棋子儿，自然就我先走。我走狮，他上虎，我心里暗暗叫喜：“哈哈，拿虎吃狮，这不是鸡蛋碰石头——自不量力嘛，看我怎么赢你。”可当我的狮走到他的虎旁边时，他轻轻地一挪棋子儿说：“跃河。”“什么？”我吃了一惊。原来虎可以跃河，他可真是“狮”口脱险呀！

我不服气，急忙拿大象堵虎。可我万万没想到，他的那头大“笨”虎居然杀出一条“血路”，冲进我的兽穴，一阵狂吃，结果，第一盘我以失败而告终。

我自然不会服输，又跟他下了一盘。这回我谨慎地下棋。只见这时，他又走出了他那只大“笨”虎。哼哼，看我的。只见我拿鼠堵河，他没办法，只得硬着头皮冲，最后，被我杀个全军覆没。耶，我赢了！接着，我又赢了他一盘。

下兽棋，不仅是生活中的一种乐趣，还可以使你增加智慧。

那是我第一次过圣诞节，朋友带我去参加圣诞舞会，在舞会上我们跳舞、唱圣诞歌，我也认识了一些其他朋友，我们相互交换礼物并互道祝福，我过得很愉快。

That was the first time that I celebated Christmas Day。 My friend aksed me to take part in Christmas party. At the party we danced and celebrated with carols. I knew some new friends. We exchanged gifts and said best wishes to each other. I had a pleasant time.

Spring

Oh! Spring in coming.

Look! All the things are reviving. The world is colorful. The trees and grass are green. Flowers are beautiful. Some are red. Some are yellow. Some are purple. The birds are flying in the blue sky. The bees are singing. They are very busy. They are making honey. The butterflies are dancing in the garden. The children are playing games.

I like spring.
