Every Chinese, who experienced 1980s, will remember forever the day November 6th 1981 when the China National Womens Volleyball Team defeated the Japan National Team (the so-called "Toyo Women Magic") with 3 to 2 at the 3rd World Womens Volleyball Cup in Osaka Japan. There are several reasons for this severe problem. First and foremost, many manufactures produce fake food of poor quality in order to get higher profits. In addition, the relevant laws and regulations are imperfect and even ineffective. Last but not least, the public especially customers from poor families, are not alert enough to the safety of food.

In view of the seriousness of the problem, effective measures must be taken to improve the situation. Firstly, it is essential that relevant laws and regulations on food safety should be enforced. Secondly, the relevant department should attach more importance to supervising监督 the manufacturers. Also, the public should be trained to be alert to food quality, believing our efforts will make an enormous difference. Only by taking these actions can the problem be coped with successfully in the nearest future.

Its Sunday today. I got up early and did my homework on the table. All of a

sudden I remembered the mothers day, a picture of my mind, remembering a past

thing that moved me.

Thats the case. After coming home from school that afternoon, my mother came

back. I found that my mother was very tired, his eyes were squinting, and I

yawned. So she sent me to do my homework at home. But I felt very sad to see my

mother working so hard, so I decided to share the housework for my mother. I

began to pick up the stuff in my home, first fold the newspaper, and then the

glass was cleaned.

I put the glass on the pot filled with water, and then picked up the cloth, a

brush up. I found a little dirty in a cup, and I took some detergent to wash it.

Suddenly, the cup from the hand slipped, piercing sound startled me. I hastened

to pick up the pieces of glass on the floor. At this time, I found that my

mother was standing in front of me, and she said, "dont pick up the pieces with

your hands. Let me come." I stood up and bowed my head embarrassed and said,

"Im sorry, mom, Im too careless." I thought: this must be closed. Mother

Looking back on this, I felt very warm. It told me that maternal love is

chinese new year is a chinese traditional festival. we also call it the spring festival. it is on lunar january 1st.

on new year’s eve, all the people sit around the desk and have a big family dinner. there are some vegetables, some fish, some meat, some fruits and some drink like juice, coke, pepsi and some nice wine. overall, this is a good and delicious dinner. after dinner, we always watch tv new year progammes. we have a wonderful evening on new year’s eve.on the first day of the spring festival, most of people get up early and say “happy new year” to each other. for breakfast, people often eat dumplings and baozi. after breakfast, people often make many delicious foods, and children often play cards, computer games and fireworks. on the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives.

everyone is busy on chinese new year, and everyone is happy, too.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter. As the problem of food safety has been becoming worse and worse nowadays, I am obliged to write to you.

Several days ago, one of my classmates came back from supermarket with a large bag of food. Because of having found a new style of tinned?ish in the food store, she was very glad. Several other roommates were invited to enjoy the “mouth?atering chicken”. Unfortunately, after finishing the food, all of my three friends had stomachaches and vomited, their faces having become paler and paler. Due to sensitivity to that kind of tinned food, I escaped that suffer. At that time, my mind went blank. I dialed the emergency number with my trembling hand, therefore they were quickly sent to hospital. The doctor said they were lucky to be out of danger because they did not eat too much of that rotten fish and were hospitalized on time.

This is the matter that happened around me which made me realize the seriousness of the food safety problem. I sincerely hope that the whole society could attach much importance to this issue.

About ten years ago when I was an undergraduate in college， I was working as an intern at my Universitys Museum of Natural History. One day while working at the cash register in the gift shop， I saw an elderly couple come in with a little girl in a wheelchair.

As I looked closer at this girl， I saw that she was kind of perched on her chair. I then realized she had no arms or legs， just a head， neck and torso. She was wearing a little white dress with red polka dots.

As the couple wheeled her up to me I was looking down at the register. I turned my head toward the girl and gave her a wink. As I took the money from her grandparents， I looked back at the girl， who was giving me the cutest， largest smile I have ever seen.

All of a sudden her handicap was gone and all I saw was this beautiful girl， whose smile just melted me and almost instantly gave me a completely new sense of what life is all about. She took me from a poor， unhappy college student and brought me into her world; a world of smiles， love and warmth.

That was ten years ago. Im a successful business person now and whenever I get down and think about the troubles of the world， I think about that little girl and the remarkable lesson about life that she taught me.
