I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. Unfortunately, it comes back to haunt her and she ends up returning to that life and dies painfully and alone, but with the knowledge that she was a noble woman at heart. When I first began to read the book, I did not care for Marguerite or her attitude or lifestyle, but as I got further into the narrative, I realized that her saucy attitude was a front to cover the lonely woman that she really was. She felt used, abused and unloved, until the gentle Armand Duval came into her life and showed her that he loved her as a person and not for what she could do for him. It must have taken great courage for Marguerite to leave the life she had lived for so long, knowing all along that it was probably too good to be true and would not last indefinitely. And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him.

However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumass last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves, but sometimes past situations prevent them from changing their lives, even though they desperately wish to do so. This applies to both men and women in many different types of circumstances: involvement in crime; drug or alcohol abuse; gambling; prostitution; financial problems; poor marriage choices; etc. And this is the fact, which exists in the whole society.

As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. I also think she was jealous of the fact that Marguerite had so much more courage than herself and someone truly loved her.

今天,我们生活在摩登时代,我们可以使用机器做大部分的事情。科技给我们带来了很多方便,它便利了我们的生活。我们每天都面对着新产品,传统的东西正在慢慢消失。以剪纸为例。在我很小的时候,在我祖母的那一代，剪纸很受欢迎,大多数女性可以剪出各种有趣的形状。现在当我回到家乡时,我发现他们中的大多数已经停止剪纸,因为他们可以以很低的价格购买。更重要的是,年轻人不了解这种艺术, 以为父母认为他们的孩子没有必要去学习这种不时髦的东西。传统不应该被放弃,这是我们文化的反映。甚至面临挑战,我们仍然需要继承传统。

傍晚的景色是生命的景色，傍晚的光辉是生命的光辉。

我总在傍晚时分去公园，也许是因为行人悉数都回家吃饭了，静谧无比;也许是因为在这个时刻的氧气浓郁，空气清新。但也许，只是想去而已，没有理由，只是意识到非去不可而已。

硕大的一片草地上静静坐立不动的石头是我最爱的座椅，悄悄地洗了一天的日光浴，那所接受到的太阳的气息、温度，都在此刻显现出来。手指接触到被磨平棱角的表面，那股从石头内部舒适的温度便一步步爬上手臂，令人一阵酥麻……

目光所及的湖水皆一波一波地动着，染着太阳的淡黄，像一池融化的铁水。几只停息下来的白鹭便立于浮于铁水汀上，打开自己健美的翅膀，姣好的肌肉与丰满柔顺无比的羽毛便一点不落地映进窥视它整理容貌的人眼中。偶尔并列飞来两只白鹭，便会交颈厮耳，小声呢喃着听不见的爱语。

岸边随风微动的一片树下，传来鸭的叫声，隐隐约约地，间或地被风吹散，但永远都看不见这叫声主人的影子。嘶哑的叫声和着努力从叶隙间钻出的破碎一地的日光，形成一幅别有深意的有声画，就像是所有的齿轮都一个不差地排列在一起似的，这幅生命的画卷也在一齿接一齿地运行下去。

画卷的主角当然是夕阳，当我抬起疲惫的眼睑看向这不断地散发着藏匿不住的生机之主，此刻的她已消去了白日的锋芒，用柔和的圆点一般的光一片片地洒在她所喜爱的万物上，就如一个衣着朴素的姑娘，挎着竹篮，将阳光满手满手地轻轻撒开。

远处跑累了的狗向我飞奔回来，一头撞进我的怀里，它抬起头，哼哧哼哧地喘着气，将暖洋洋的一身毛摊在我腿上，抬起那满脸纯真的脸看向我，我伸手取下粘在它鼻子上的一棵草，那透彻的黄棕色的眼睛诉说着它所看到的生机。

我猛然间发现这种非去不可的念想只是对生命的向往而已，大概是喜欢生命的壮美、无限和变幻莫测吧。在夕阳笼罩之下的公园里，融进了世界万物里生命的姿态，而我就在这在这活力里渐渐融化，混进了生命之中……

爱我的人很多，但最爱我的人是妈妈，她把所有的爱全都给了我。

一个和往日一样平淡、温馨的夜晚。我和妈妈晚饭后照例围坐在桌子旁，在明亮的灯光下，我写作业，妈妈备课，查资料。时不时，我抬头看看妈妈，妈妈也会心地对我一笑。可过了不久，我就觉得有些不舒服了，头晕晕乎乎的，于是，我赶快告诉了妈妈。刚才还一脸轻松的妈妈马上紧张了起来，她先是用手摸了摸我的头，然后又用体温计测量，一边测还一边不住埋怨自己：“哎，都怪我。最近感冒的人挺多，应该早点给你吃预防药。”“没事的，我很快就好了。”我安慰着妈妈，可妈妈此时已如临大敌，特别是一看体温是39度就更是忙活开了。她先是让我喝水，之后在药箱里翻腾了一会儿，退烧片、感冒药、下火药就都堆在了桌子上，她一一盯我吃了下去，才吁了一口气。10点多了，我要睡了，妈妈照例先用暖水袋热了被窝，我躺了进去，感觉好多了。而妈妈却不睡，问她，她说药需要3、4个小时吃一次，她要在1点时再喂我吃一顿。

那晚，可能由于难受，我睡得并不踏实，我知道妈妈给我掖过被子，我知道她用额头试过我的体温……但我没敢睁开眼睛，我怕她担心。好容易到了1点钟，妈妈又一次盯着我吃了药。我以为这回她该睡了，可没想到妈妈又说4点时还要再吃一顿!我看着妈妈上好表铃儿，这才合衣躺了下来……这一晚，妈妈基本没睡，那可恶的表铃儿3小时后准时叫起了妈妈。之后，妈妈又在6点半准时起来为我准备早点了……

人们都说母爱是无私的。的确，每次我一病，最难过最着急的总是妈妈。有一次，她甚至跟我说：“快传染给我吧，这样你就好了!”我很震惊，世界上只有妈妈会为儿女这样做呀!想想平时，妈妈不也是一样的吗?每天早上6点半她会准时给我做早点，然后7点喊我，一分不差，只为了让我多睡会儿，她一定一边做饭，一边还不停地看表吧。吃饭时，妈妈也总是把我最爱吃的菜源源不断地送入我的碗里，她却吃的很少。她爱我，胜过爱她自己!我也爱她，我为有这样的妈妈倍感自豪!

最有意义的时候是什么时候呢?大家也许都知道。当我问一个人他有没有最有意义的时候，他肯定会说有。当然我也不例外。我就来给你们讲一两件吧!

一天，我放学回家，爸爸竟然告诉我一个让我兴奋的消息，我可以跟表哥表姐一起去平水乡下外婆家玩喽!这是我盼望已久的愿望，因为外婆家那边山清水秀，又可以体验乡村乐趣。

出发了。一路上我开心地想着：等会儿到了外婆家，一定可以跟外婆一起种菜种豆喽!时间一分一秒的过去了，我到了外婆家，外婆一见我就出来迎接我。首先，眏在我眼前的是几座绿意浓浓的大山，外婆家面前是一个湖，湖面又洁净又静溢。像一块明亮的大镜子。这个湖，外婆是用来养鱼的，养了好多好多的小金鱼，我特别喜欢它们。我探下头去看它们，它们反而一个劲的全部都跳了起来，好像在跟我打招呼，迎接我。我最喜欢跟外婆一起种菜种豆，因为它能带给我乐趣。我跟我外婆说我要种花生，可是外婆说已经没地可种了。我失望地向后院走去，无意之中竟发现了一块荒地，我问了外婆可不可以种，外婆说可以的，我高兴死了。外婆边种边问我们：“你们爱吃花生吗?”我们争着答应：“爱”那谁能把花生的好处说出来”外婆继续说。表哥说：“花生可以榨油”。表姐说：“花生的味道真好吃”。我说“花生的价钱便宜”。外婆说花生的好处有很多，有一个最可贵，它的果实埋在地里，不像桃子，苹果，石榴那样把鲜红嫩绿的果实高高地挂在枝头上，使人一见就产生爱慕之心。你们看它矮矮地长在地上，即使成熟了，也不能立刻分辨出，必须挖起来才知道。

我们都点点头。

外婆继续说：“所以你们要像花生，它虽然外表不好看，内心却很善良。

花生都种完了，外婆的话却深深地印在我的心上，那一刻是最有意义的时候。

在去年寒假的时候，我总是感觉时间不够用，寒假作业没有时间做，这是为什么呢?那一个月的时间明明很充足啊!难道是因为我把时间弄丢了吗?是的，我把时间弄丢了!那么我把时间丢到哪儿去了呢?我在记忆中倒转时光，回忆起了寒假时期——

寒假开始的时候，外面寒风呼啸，大雪纷飞，我的手也冻僵了。于是，妈妈在火盆里燃起一堆火，并规定我和弟弟上午烤火下午做寒假作业。可是，到了下午，我还是不太想做作业，便找了个要烤火的理由又玩了一阵子，寒假作业一个字没动，啊!原来我的时间丢失到了这儿啊!

又过了好几天，雪不下了。院子里的雪堆积如山，弟弟突发奇想，嚷着说要堆雪人。于是，我、妈妈和弟弟又开始了“堆雪人大作战”。我们先分工，妈妈来铲雪，我和弟弟来把雪压平。经过漫长的劳动，一个美哒哒的雪人诞生了!咦?雪人怎么没有眼睛?还没有好好休息的我们又忙着找来了雪人的装饰品。终于，我们又给雪人找到了眼睛，鼻子，嘴巴，手，花环等，甚至还有一把伞。可是，雪人堆好了，我的作业却糟了!竟还剩三分之二没有做!啊!原来我的时间丢失到了这里!

再后来，我的弟弟妹妹们都回来了。我又兴奋地去迎接着他们，陪他们玩游戏。直到晚上，他们去了奶奶家，我的家里又恢复了原来的冷清。等我发现自己的寒假作业还剩一大半时，又后悔莫及!啊!原来我的时间丢失到了这里!

快过年时，我本想着要好好做作业的，可是这个坚定的信心又动摇起来了，我又跑去看妈妈做家务，望着妈妈发呆。一会儿，妈妈的家务做完了，而我那天的任务还一个字没有动!啊!原来我的时间丢失到了这里!

过年时，我们要走人家，我又没有时间补作业，只好望着作业上的一大片空白烦恼。

没想到我丢了那么多的时间!我下次可真该好好改改我那浪费时间的坏习惯了!

I have a very good friend. His name is Philip. As far as Im concerned, hes very kind-hearted and generous. Once I was in high school, he treated me friendly and sincerely. When I was happy, he was also happy with me. When I was sad, he always comforted me. When I was defeated, he always encouraged me. When I stumbled, he always pulled me up.
