一个人一生需要消耗掉多少资源?有人算过一笔账，在美国这样的一个发达国家，一位八十岁的普通美国人一生要消耗约两亿升水、两千万升汽油、一千吨钢材和一千棵树的木材。在发展中国家一个人一生消费的就更多了。由此我们可以得出结论：“如果所有的人都这样生活，恐怕二十个地球都不够用;如果把美国的生活方式输入到全球各国，那将是一种全球性自杀。”

目前，地球上的森林覆盖率为26。6%可是因我们人类的大量砍伐，全球的森林正在以每年2%的速度消失。按照这个速度，五十年后，一百年后，地球不是一片荒漠，就是一片海洋……

地球的“家底”并不是取之不尽、用之不竭的。我们每天都在享受地球母亲的无私馈赠。但如果只知道索取，而不给予相当的回报，那么总有坐吃山空的那一天，所以我们从现在开始，一起低碳生活吧!

在学校，我们可以珍惜每一张纸，当你每次都把它双面写满时，相当于挽救了半片原本要被砍伐的森林。在平时上下楼时，尽量走楼梯，出近门时，尽量步行或骑自行车，不仅可以锻炼身体，还可以节约资源、保护环境。我们还可以在家里种些花草，不仅赏心悦目，还能净化环境，而且每天还能呼吸到新鲜的空气。在家里尽量不开或少开空调，空调运行时会释出对臭氧层有危害的化学物质……

低碳生活的本意就是生活作息时所耗用的能量资源要尽量减少。我们现在运用的高科技产品就是耗用能量、资源最多的东西。

是地球母亲创造了我们，我们要保护她，爱护她。
