Nowadays, environmental pollution is very common. Resource waste is also

seen everywhere. In order to protect the environment, to protect our earth, we

need to live a low-carbon life. I usually go to school on foot, sometimes by

bike. If I need to go to the other city, I will choose the public transportation

and not ask my parents drive me there. If I am the last one to leave classroom

or home, I will make sure all the lights are off. I always will save the water

after washing clothes. And then use it to wash the toilet. Our earth is in our

own hands.

Different people have different career outlooks. Some people want to become

civil servants; some people hope to start their own business; some people dream

of being freelancers, and so on.

However, my ideal job is teaching. Firstly, I’m told that teachers have a

high income. With the high income, I can open a training school to help the

children in poor families with their education. Secondly, teachers always have

summer and winter holidays, thus I will have more free time to relax myself.

More importantly, teachers are angels to students, who can pass on the knowledge

to students as well as help them develop their hobbies and interests. I can’t

imagine how happy I will feel when I see my students become elites.

In order to be a qualified teacher, I should read more books to acquire

more knowledge, and train my patience and improve my communication and

handwriting abilities.

I imagine a lot about lives in the future. I think two words can summarize

my imagination. The first word is fast. In the future, we will have more quickly

transportation means. Now matter how far we go, it takes only a short time. With

the development of science and technology, we can travel to the moon, Mars or

somewhere outer space. People may can live in other planets. The second word is

convenient. Because of the fast development of our society, many work can be

done by computers or even robots. Lots of things are fully automated. Humans

just need to give some simple instructions to complete complecated tasks.

Computer is increasingly popular in people’s daily life. The number of

computer in every family is more than TV set. Some people think it is so great

that they all regard it as a gift from the heaven. However, some people consider

it brings more disadvantages than advantages. In my opinion, both opinions are

correct, but if we can use computer in a proper way, its advantages are superior

to disadvantages. I have several reasons.

On the one hand, computer makes human beings’ life become easier. People

can do many things that they can’t do before. They can read newspaper without

buying it, only sitting in front of their computer, clicking mouse to open

website. Shopping online, watching movies, listening music and play computer

games are the common things that people often do by computer. But without

computer, they can’t do all these easily. In addition, computer is also very

helpful for study and work. People can have classes and work on it.

On the other hand, computer has so many attractive things that some people

will be addicted to it. Some of them may busy finding funs on it, and then

ignore their real duty, such as, study and work. As a result, it will have great

bad effect on their future.

To sum, computer has advantages and disadvantages. But if people can

control themselves to use computer properly, it is useful for their whole

life.

Every year, the thing I expect the most is the Spring Festival. My parents

work far from home and they come back one or two times a year. The Spring

Festival is the time they come home. Every time they come back, they bring mangy

things to me. When I was little, they bought me toys, new clothes and shoes.

Now, they often buy me books. They say more reading is good for me. They hope I

can learn more. The time spend with them is always happy but short. They only

have half a month at home. I hope they can stay at home longer.

When I went to middle school, it was hard for me to adjust the new

environment at first, because there were so many subjects to learn, I fell

behind other students. I did not know what to do, I just wanted to get away from

school. I talked about my annoyance to my friend, she told me that I got too

much pressure and she suggested me to take relax and made progress step by step.

She said everything would be better someday. Now I have made progress and when I

look back on the passed days, it was just a small problem for me. I got over the

hard moment and become a strong person.

There is an old Chinese saying: Top students come from strict teachers.

Perhaps affected by this saying for a long time, we believe it right. However,

as time flies, lots of things have changed. Therefore, I am eager to discuss

what relation is the best between teachers and students.A teacher can treat a

student in two ways .One is strict, and the other is friendly. Most teachers

prefer the first way.To start with, we certainly have to admit that strictness

is very effective, especially to the naughty pupils.

As pupils we aren’t able to control ourselves well or fix our attention on

one thing for a long time. We do most things because they are interesting or we

feel like doing. We are always looking out of the window in class. Sometimes, we

get to play games and forget our homework. On this occasion, strictness is a

must. It not only forces us to do the right thing, but also helps us develop a

good learning habit, which is of great importance during our whole life .In

other words, it is the first step to success.Still, everything has two sides.

Its weak points are very obvious. You see, there’re top students in a class,

where average students make up the majority. Then teachers’ orders or

suggestions are for the majority, not for top students. However, top students

always have their own study plans and prefer special homework, so orders usually

won’t take great effect on them.

Maybe you have thought out that teachers can give orders only to the

majority and set some freedom to top students. However, it’s impossible .For a

whole class, teachers couldn’t give order to part of the class, for the majority

would question why they needn’t do such work, but we need? It would be probable

that they think teachers treat them not equally, and will not obey teachers’

orders any more. This is a difficulty for teachers.It also has another

disadvantage——the communication problem .Since teachers are strict, we never

tell teachers our personal affairs or secrets. Mostly we just tell them to our

friends, but as students too, they couldn’t help to solve our problem, such as

puppy love, communication problems or study problems .Not being solved

completely, they always disturb us, influencing our daily life and study. I’m

sure that you think that making friends with teachers can solve the problem, and

you are eager to do so as well. But if we do so, new problems will come out .You

see, an adult couldnt control himself well at times, let alone us students.

However if teachers are our friends, I doubt whether their orders will take

effect any more .You see, have we ever treated our friends’ orders as orders? We

think they’re only jokes. This is another difficulty for teachers.Additionally,

our parents have the same problem. Yes, we need to be friends, but not complete

friends. We need to keep a certain distance, making us communicate well and

willing to take your orders. I remember a story.One day, a lady had her rest

room decorated. And a skilled worker was bricking up the wall. Seeing large

cracks between the bricks, she questioned why. The worker told her after this

summer, the bricks would become bigger, and those cracks would disappear.That is

not only decoration, but also communication. The principle is the same.

Recently, I have seen an impressive film—“Meet the Parents”, which is about

a woman Palm brought her boyfriend Greg to her parents’ home to spend holiday.

In the film, Greg was so dishonest to Palm’s parents that Palm’s father is

suspicious of his behavior and quality. As a result, Greg is obnoxious to all

and has to leave. As far as I am concerned, the consequence is heavily caused by

his dishonesty. If Greg could be real him all the time, he would get much

respect and appreciation and would not get much frustration. From the film, I

have learned that being honest was extremely important and necessary. In other

words, being honest is a basic principle for us to deal with others.

For one thing, we will not get others’ trust unless we are honest. If we

deceive others, we would get the same in return, and even no one would make

friends with us or even communicate with us. For another, we will get others’

respect and appreciation if telling the truth. Telling the truth and being

ourselves, we will get a healthy and peaceful surrounding to grow up better.

However, something strange happens in our society. There is a strange

phenomenon that honest people suffer but the dishonest benefit a lot. It made

some people have a suspicion that being honest is not so important.

But I still believe that these are just a few cases, since honesty is

deeply rooted in our minds and we still consider it as a basic principle in

social contacts.

The new term is coming and I will be carefully . Because I will learn more

konwlege .

I will listen carefully in class . I will do more sports , such as running

, volleyball . Sports are really interesting . I will read more English books to

improve my English . I will solve more difficult maths problems and be

interested in them . English is important and I will spend more time on it . I

will get up early . I will read book loudly everyday .

As the development of the society, people want to conquer the environment,

they use the high technology to change the environment, when people are

satisfied with what they did to the nature, the nature is starting to teach

human being a lesson. In the movie The Day After Tomorrow, people were in the

great disaster that caused by the greenhouse effect, it just like the end of the

world, there was no way for people to avoid such great disaster. The movie

reminds people of the result they did harm to the environment, it will revenge

people, people have to face the disaster. It is very important to protect the

environment, people should get along with the environment.

We want to hold a green Olympic Games ,so everyone should do something

useful to protect the environment ,whether it is big or small.

We should do something to stop people from doing bad things to the

environment .We should put rubbish into dustbins instead of throwing it about.

Everyone must care for flowers ,grass and tress in public .We shound collect

things like paper ,plastic bags our neighborhood as well ,it’s necessary to

plant more trees every year .

It is everyone’s duty to make our neighborhood much better with our hands

minds .Let’s make a contribution to protecting the environment and the Plympic

Games successfully.

Do you think what is the most important in your life? Maybe some answers

are dreams. I may directly answer “lovers”.

In my opinion, lovers not simply mean your partner of life, but the people

you love: your parents, husband or wife, children and friends. I have a happy

life because of their company. I even can’t imagine the life without them.

My mum told me” money is not as important as you think, you neednt think

too highly of it. Don’t be greedy, my girl.” I got it. Person around us is the

For the first time in everyones experience! For example: the first time to

ride a bicycle, write a book, play a computer for the first time, keep a dog for

the first time, etc! And my first time is climbing!

On a sunny holiday, our family unanimously decided to take exercise -

climbing Maanshan! Maanshan ecological park is located in the south of Yangwu

village, Daling mountain. The main peak is 329.2 meters above sea level. It is

divided into two small peaks at the front and back. It is named Maanshan because

of its shape similar to Maanshan. It used to be a quarry. All the stones mined

were transported to all parts of the city as building materials, bringing

considerable economic benefits to the local area and seriously damaging the

ecological environment. In order to build a civilized, harmonious and ecological

home, the village committee decided to close the quarry and invest 5 million

yuan to build it into an ecological park. Now there are Jinling, Qixingling,

Jiti stone, Qilin mountain and other scenic spots. When I came to the foot of

Maanshan, I stared at the top of Maanshan stupidly. In my mind, I thought of the

complacent expression of climbing to the mountain. After that, I cant wait to

follow the route to the top of the mountain!

At first, I was a living tiger, just like a hungry tiger, flying to the top

of the mountain! The road is getting steeper and steeper, and the fork road runs

across. Its half the way to the top of the mountain. After a long time, the

physical strength is naturally consumed and the knowledge is not much. Im

sweating!! Seeing thousands of houses, cars and pedestrians under my feet, I

secretly encouraged myself: there is still a little way to go, stick to it, and

soon climb to the top of the mountain, dont be discouraged, learn to stick to it

on this road! Only persistence can make people succeed! Time flows silently on

me. I climb to the top of the mountain. I am ecstatic and rush forward in one

breath. Finally climbed to the top of the mountain! Ah! The scenery at the top

of the mountain is so intoxicating and impressive!

As if everything under my feet is my world! The whole village can be seen

clearly. I learned a truth from it, that is: in life, whether it is laid-off, or

encountered difficulties, or be fired and so on. Dont be discouraged. As a human

being, we should learn not to be discouraged in the face of difficulties. In all

kinds of tests of life, just like climbing a mountain, we cant give up halfway,

as long as we stick to it, we will succeed!

students. She cares much about students study and life, and she tries her best

predicted the age of computer has come. Now only two decades passed, here comes

the new age of cellphone. Lets look at how people depend on the phone. They use

cellphone to work and to communicate with families and friends. With the

The Dragon Boat Festival is a lunar (阴历)holiday, occurring (存正)on the fifth

day of the fifth lunar month (农历史五月第五天). Dragon Boat Festival is my favourite

festival.During the holiday of Dragon Boat Festival,I got together with my

family to have a big meal.We ofen ate the zongzi.It tasted very nice.And we saw

the Dragon Boat Races.I felt excited because the race was bustling with noise

and excitement.At Dragon Boat Festival,we also drank realgar wine.Some people

thought drank realgar wine can protect themselves from illness.Dragon Boat

Festival was interesting and I like it very much.

The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant (有意义的)holiday celebrated

(庆祝)in China, and the one with the longest history (历史最悠久). The Dragon Boat

Festival is celebrated by boat races (龙舟赛) in the shape of dragons. Competing

teams (竞争团队) row their boats forward to a drumbeat (击古)racing to reach the

finish end first.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs

(传统习俗)to attempts to (试图)rescue (搭救) the patriotic poet (爱国诗人)Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan

drowned (溺死) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese

citizens now throw bamboo leaves (竹叶) filled with cooked rice into the

water.

Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later

on turned into the custom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings(棕子).

The celebrations is a time for protection (防护) from evil (邪恶) and disease

(疾病) for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as

hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions (营养品),

and displaying (展示) portraits (画像) of evils nemesis(邪恶报应), Chung Kuei. If one

manages to (成功做...) stand (直立)an egg on its end at exactly 12:00 noon, the

following year will be a lucky one.

Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice dumplings

called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon

boats in memory of Qus dramatic death.

It seems we are living in the conflict between modern and traditional

cultures every day. Hearing the blaring of horns the moment you step out of your

house, seeing the so called "pop" the moment you open your eyes, you cant help

thinking, "Will the traditional culture be gradually lost?"

Many people believe so. They may put right in front of you all the

evidences they can dig out. They may argue that people are rushing to

restaurants instead of cooking at home, listening to pop music but not

traditional, wearing in a way people couldnt imagine ten years ago. Modern

people like the air of freedom, not to be restrained by traditions. They offer

this long list, only trying to confirm that this world is full of

fashion,competition and temptation and the traditional culture is fading and

will be lost at last.

Though we are now living in a world in which undeclared aggression, war,

hypocrisy, chicanery, anarchy are part of our daily life. Though this is a

skeptical age, and our faith has weakened, our confidence in some aspects of the

traditional culture should and would never be lost.

Wouldnt you agree that our traditional culture is always credited with

modesty, politeness and respectfulness, which have always been treasured for

more than five thousand years?Even in this modern world, people still admire

those with good manners, those who are polite to others or respectful to old

people.

Wouldnt you agree that our Chinese traditional music is beautiful and

artistic and our Chinese tea culture is always an appealing treasure to people

around the world?

So there may just be some changes in our lifestyle or our attitudes towards

life, but little change occurs to some fundamental aspects of our traditional

culture that people still treasure in heart.

The traditional culture will never be lost, I believe.

My father likes to watch all kinds of sports, so when I spend the time with

him, we watch the match together. The Summer Olympic Games is coming soon, I

feel so excited, my father will follow the games and I will company him. It is a

great time for both of us. We share our opinion and talk like friends.

With the development of technology, bicycle sharing comes into peoples

lives. It becomes more and more popular and much news reported it. At the same

time, we should see that there are some problems caused by bicycle sharing.

On one side, bicycle sharing makes it very convenient of people traveling.

You can find a bicycle anywhere at any time when you want to go out for a

cycling, and the price of one trip is very low. It cansave time for people. On

the other side, its management is not perfect. Even kids can open the lock and

ride the bicycle, there is no doubt that such behavior is very dangerous. Whats

more, many people deliberately break it, like throw it to the river or destroy

In my opinion, we should take a developing view about bicycle sharing. It

Unlike Martin Luther King’s, my dreams are fair and plain, and there are

many of them. I have a dream from the first time I sit in a car—I want to

drive.

Driving is like running without foot, racing without strength. It’s the

most meaningful way to meet human being’s desire of “faster”. When driving, I

have to put all my spirit to. Operating a car at ease will cost years of

experience.

Driving will take me to my wanting destination, no matter it rains or snows

or winds. I never am afraid of shoes wet, umbrella broken or ears frozen. A car

is rather like a moving house, which protects me completely and helps me rush

directly to the aim hanging ahead. That suits my nature perfectly: love to take

risks conservatively. A smooth ride in a good car is an enjoyable satisfaction.

Seeing rows of trees moving backward rapidly, a feeling of stepping forward will

fill fully in my mind. With music hovering, breeze blowing, my soul flies in the

air.

I was always sick when took a ride of a car, especially when I was young.

Father told me that a driver would never have carsick. That may be one of the

important reasons for me to desire driving.

This summer I am going to learn driving and get my car license. The dream

with all my heart will follow the promise it had made.
