外面下起了小雨，滴滴答答。这是在端午的前一天，早上，奶奶在桌上放了很多东西，准备包粽子。

以往的端午节，奶奶也像如此，总是起个大早，便开始包粽子。当然，包粽子这样好玩的事情，当然少不了我。

一是吃粽子。粽子实际上头天晚上就做好了。故乡的粽子和外地不同，外地是用糯大米做的，故乡是用黏小米做的;外地多数用苇子叶做，云南等少数民族地区还用竹筒做，我们故乡除用苇子叶外，还用类似薄罗叶那样的粽子叶做，且两个粽子对着捆在一起，其他地方少见。故乡农村人过端午吃粽子就是吃粽子，也没说纪念什么，只是学校的老师说是纪念屈原投汨罗江，更没人去考证屈原是因逆耳忠言的劝谏，还是和楚怀王的后宫私通，而遭嫉恨放逐。老百姓只知道“吃了端午粽，才把那棉袄扔”，那时人穷，没有毛衣、春秋衫，只有在单衣和棉袄两者之间选择。就是说，过了端午节，就可完全脱掉棉袄了。

二是插艾蒿。天不亮就赶到远处的山野，去采苗高叶壮的艾蒿，回来后就插在门框上，据说可避邪。实际上是，家中有人得个疮疖什么的疾病，就把那干过后的艾叶采下来，揉成一个个圆锥型的小团，用香点着，让艾烟来熏患部，在中医学上叫“灸”。再就是多割一些晒干，拧成“烟绳”，夏天用来熏蚊子，由于那时多数人家没有蚊帐。没有就像四川人在端午节扎艾狗挂在门上，是为了让张献忠识别是穷人家，起义军不杀。

三是扎五丝。就是把五彩或七彩的丝线拧成一股细绳，捆在手脖、脚脖上，据说可以辟邪保平安。刚扎上的时候，色彩很鲜艳。时间一长，被水湿了，掉了颜色，加上身上的灰沾上，就不新鲜了。五丝不能随意剪掉，必须等到下雨，剪掉后扔到水里，据说可以变成彩色的小蛇。

Dragon Boat Festival， often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival， is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated， in various ways， in other parts of East Asia as well， most notably Korea.

The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear， but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period.
