5对比开路

其中一个方面是正面的，一个是反面的。往往是用反面的来突出正面的。行文过程，一般是先正后反;但如果是用正面的来论证反面是错误的，行文过程又往往是先反后正。

6类比开路

通过讲故事、打比方或引用成语典故，对某些属性相同的事物进行比较，阐明问题，论证论点。行文结构，一般总是先概述用来类比的故事、寓言、成语典故，再引申到要说明的道理上来，进行类比阐发。最关键之点是借以类比的事物和所要说明的道理之间要有共同的属性，要类比得合乎逻辑，要准确把握两者之间的辩证关系。材料作文基本采用这种思路。

7逆转开路

先从一个方面论述问题，后面忽然来个逆转，否定前面的看法，论述另一种看法，思路发生了大转折。一般常用于对某些错误认识的分析批判。

8生发开路

有些议论文，上文从正面立论，直接阐明了作者的主张或见解，下文针对某些人不同意作者主张的看法进行驳斥，从而间接论证作者的主张，我们把这种思路称之为生发开路，或叫“生发开，驳异论”。这种辩证开路不但使正面立论更充分更周详，而且有妙笔生花之效果。
