At my school, we had a charity sale last week

The charity sale was held on our school playground last Saturday morning.

We prepared many things which were made by hand in our spare time, such as

kites, model planes and so on. They looked very beautiful. We also brought old

toys and second-hand books to sell on the sale. At 8：30, the activity started.

Many students and teachers came to take part in it. Everyone chose their

favorite items and paid for them at a much lower price. In the end, the money we

made added up to over 2,000.

We sent the money to the community to help children who couldnt attend

school and the seniors who needed better care.

I had a wonderful experience. Im proud of what we have done. If everyone

makes a contribution to the charity, the world will become much better.

Now I’m studying in Hunan First Normal College, which is Chairman Mao’s former school. I major in English, because I find it so fun and interesting. College life is much different from high school life. In college, we should acquire knowledge as well as improve our integrated abilities. There are a lot of English classes for us to learn, such as Basic English, Oral English, Listening, Reading, Writing, Translation, Grammar, English Literature, and so on. I enjoy these classes very much. Except English, we have many other subjects to learn. Life seems so busy here but it’s so fruitful for me.

After class, I usually go to the English Corner. There I can practice my oral English by talking with foreigners or chatting with my schoolmates. Now, I’m able to communicate with foreigners well. Sometimes I also take part in some social activities. For instance, last weekend I attended an interesting play. As it was my first performance, I felt a little nervous at the beginning. But when I appeared on the stage, I made every audience laugh happily. I was so proud of myself at that moment, because this was my first achievement.

有一天，爸爸带我到郊外去玩，我在车上看见一片金黄色。我欣喜的问：“爸爸那片黄色是什么？”爸爸说：“那过去看看。”我一下车就闻到淡淡的清香，仔细一看原来是向日葵。

向日葵的花盘圆圆的，金黄金黄，像金色的太阳一样；花瓣三角形的，无数片围绕着圆盘，像太阳发出的光芒。整朵花像是把太阳摘下来放在花茎上，又像是小朋友画出的圆太阳。向日葵的叶子绿绿的，像一只只可爱的小手托着美丽的太阳。

向日葵总是向着太阳，是太阳和向日葵在聊天，从早上一直聊到晚上。我觉得太阳是妈妈，向日葵是孩子，每天向日葵都对着太阳妈妈有说不完的话；我还觉得太阳是老师，向日葵是小朋友，都围着老师笑。太阳妈妈在给我传递温暖，小蜜蜂给我传播花粉，小鸟飞过来告诉我天空的美景。

向日葵就是小朋友，太阳就是老师，老师传授给我们知识，给我们温暖。

After dinner, we began to find hotels, went to many hotels, but they were all overcrowded. We searched and searched, and finally found a guest house.
