For instance, a singer can sing well only if he or she possesses musical knowledge; a dancer can dance well only if he or she knows how to dance; a worker can get the job well-done only if he or she is familiar with the basic principles of the job, and so on. But in turn, if we do not apply what we have known to practice, knowledge cannot play its role. For example, if we have learned different methods of cooking vegetables, but we do not cook, then the different methods of cooking vegetables do not produce value for us.

Therefore, if we do not have knowledge, we have nothing to practice, but if we have knowledge without putting it into practice, knowledge is of no avail. So we should acquire as much knowledge and put it into practice.

How time flies! One month has passed before I could take any notice of it. This is the start of my freshman year in Fudan University. At the very beginning, everything and everyone is strange to me. But now, everyday and in everyway, I am getting better;I am getting used to it.

I would like to tell you two things in my university life that are of great importance and interest.

Freedom is what I am looking forward to since the very first day of my primary school. A lot of people said to me, "Study hard, and you will get freedom when in university." But when I really entered university, I find the real situation is different.Freedom costs me a lot. If I refuse to wash my clothes, for example, they will just lay there, unclean. In a word, I have to do everything and take care of myself. Well, it doesn‘t mean that I don‘t like the life style. On the contrary, I like it very much though it is hard at the beginning. It is really a challenge for me.

I appreciate a famous saying from Albert Camus, "Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better." That‘s right. Real freedom comes with responsibility. Some teenagers believe that freedom means doing whatever you like. But I think that is not real freedom at all. One can have his or her own freedom, while at the same time respect others‘. It is not easy to think on behalf of others. University life provides me with this precious chance to practice it.

寒假里我读了《鲁滨孙漂流记》这本书，让我受益匪浅。 鲁滨孙从小就向往航海。十九岁那年，他第一次搭船航海遭遇了可怕的风暴;第二次出海经商时被海盗掳去，做了几年奴隶。后来他逃到巴西，经营种植园。由于缺乏劳动力他与一些同伴去非洲贩卖黑奴。途中，他们的船被风暴打沉，鲁滨孙独自一人侥幸逃生，流落到一个荒岛。在岛上，依靠劳动改善自己的处境在岛上安居下来。他想造独木舟离开荒岛，却没成功。他在岛上救下一个土人，叫“星期五”。在荒岛的第二十八年，一伙叛乱的水手押着船长来到岛上。鲁滨孙设法救出船长，制服了水手，并搭船回到祖国。 鲁滨孙的独立自主，不畏艰险，正视现实、乐观向上、顽强生存的精神品质让我感到无比的敬佩!鲁滨孙虽然是出生在豪门贵族，但他能在荒岛上生活二十八年是十分的不容易。他的独立自主简直跟我是天壤之别!这让我想起一件事。有一次，妈妈叫我自己洗衣服，我想：洗个衣服应该不是很难，不会要了你的命!于是我就答应了。我拿上衣服，哼着歌，满心欢喜地走进阳台，开始洗衣服。我先把水龙头打开，把衣服浸湿，再稍稍拧干，然后再打上肥，就开始搓了。我使劲地搓呀搓，衣服还不是很干净，于是我又弄了点肥皂。我有用手搓了搓，可还是不干净，我恼了，一转头看见一把刷子，我把刷子拿过来抹上上了点肥皂在衣服上刷。我以为已经刷得非常干净，一尘不染时，我一看，怎么就像泥娃娃洗澡一样越洗越脏了呢?我一想，原来我把洗鞋子的刷子来洗衣服了!我现在回想起来真是又羞愧又好笑!学会独立，学会自主，才是生存之道。这句话我会永远不忘，它将激励我成长，把我以前的坏毛病改正，向鲁宾孙学习!

我盯着一个写满字的车站牌，皱着眉头，仔细寻找着什么。哎！你瞧我这记性，有始以来第一次一个坐公交车，竟然就忘了问父母坐几号车！我突然有了种恨铁不成钢的感觉，我这个死脑袋怎么就不长记性！终于，在那站了10分钟的我笑了，锁了10分钟的眉头也终于展开了。我找到了！在密密麻麻的一堆字中，我找到了那最可爱的几个字——公交六公司，这是在37号车的路线内的，正所谓皇天不负有心人，我今儿才算尝到了。说曹操曹操到，刚找到37号车，它就来了。走上车，掏了钱，我就安稳的“站”到了车上，因为车上的人虽然不多，可也没有座位，哎！如今这社会，我才不指望谁给我让位子呢！

公交车缓缓地走着，我看着车窗外倒退的建筑物，心中忽然觉得自己当了一次大人，离开了父母的大手。没有了父母拘束的笼子，我正如出笼的小鸟，在空中自由自在地飞着。不知不觉中车到了一站，一个急刹车，搞得我东倒西歪，就像被大风吹着的不树苗。无意中，我感到头撞上了一个软软的、热乎乎的东西，头一仰，一张怒目圆睁的脸扭了过来。“对……对不起”我的脸像熟了的柿子——涨红了脸。还好那位阿姨看起来今天心情不错，没有跟我计较只是带着她那张脸转了过去，尴尬的场面消失了。忐忑不安的我，突然想到了父母的手，每次刹车时总会扶住我的手。不！我不能依恋父母的手，我要学会独立。我给自己下定了目标——学会独立！

今天，我只迈出了我走向“独立”的一小步，我下定决定，哪怕是一小步一小步的走，我也要走向它。因为人生的道路不可能处处平坦，如果你依恋父母给予的依靠，那么等一天你失去了父母时，你也就会变得不堪一击，你不敢去尝试，自己什么都不会，遇到挫折会心灰意冷，不会去面对。让我们一起下定决心，要“学会独立”，记住我们是等待起飞的雄鹰，“独立”就是我们的两翼，让我们一起冲刺天空！

The university is not only free but and learning both the field, it is the most wonderful life of an experience, and how to make their college life more colorful and gorgeous, it requires us to have a good, comprehensive and scientific planning of their college career. Effective plans will help to make better use of college time to improve themselves and to prepare for the world to open up their own world. The meaning of youth is that no matter what we choose, whether we succeed or not, we do not regret it. So the students should have a purpose, planned to carry out their college life, otherwise it can be your university time wasted in a cocoon around oneself.

I hope that through 4 years of college life, I deeply appreciate the joy and sweetness of youth and growth. We should not only work hard to learn professional knowledge, but also cultivate their own awareness of competition, awareness of innovation and teamwork. After 4 years of experience, I hope to be brave, strong, and positive.

Farewell to the age of high school, entering the Universitys school, and the course of life has opened a new page. The road of life entered a new stage, the students we have hope and longing into China Three Gorges University, the ideal life will be established here in the future will be here in the foundation, a good university will also start from here. Entering the university with a vision and facing the new environment of the new term is also an important base. We should adapt ourselves to the new environment as soon as possible, and make a series of corresponding plans to rebuild our world. Many people have asked myself: "the road of life in the University, for the reading of several of the students, is undoubtedly the most important turning point in life, but life is also planning to start up precisely in this period. How do you plan to design a future for yourself when you start college life? It may perhaps dull colorful, harmonious, perhaps full of challenges and thorns -- but no matter how, accumulate steadily, is an inevitable rule. I remember a philosopher said, "go all the way, this is your life." Yes, the road of life is long, because it is the interpretation of your life meaning.
