Success, as is known, is the pursuit of many ambitious people. It requires much of a person.

In my view, above all, one should be a person of strong perseverance. Rome was not built in a day. On our long way to success, there are undoubtedly many difficulties standing in the way. If we lose heart and give up halfway, nothing can be achieved. Throughout history, we have had many famous successful people in the world, of whom no one is weak-minded. Take the great American scientist Edison as an example, he tried experiment after experiment and had one failure after another before he finally invented the bulb, which lighted up the whole world. So we can conclude perseverance can surely be one of the secrets of success. Furthermore, one needs to work hard to realize his dream just as the famous saying goes “Hard work leads to success”.

Look at these around us and we’ll find diligent people are always the favor of our society. They usually achieve more than expected. Why do so many of our classmates of average intelligence go far ahead of others? Hard work is definitely supposed to be the answer. And still, I hold that one must keep in pace with the informative world. There’s no denying that our world is changing every day. So one can never be locked alone inside his own room, doing his research work and dedicated to book knowledge.

How can an isolated person be well-informed enough to go ahead of others? If so, that could be ridiculous. Success is what one desires. So long as one is perseverant, hard working and up-to-date, I am sure success is near at hand.

世界上有没有成功的“秘诀”"？自然，那种神秘的写成“天书”的“秘诀”是没有的，那只不过是神话或者幻想而已。但在现实生活中，作为成功条件的“秘诀”是存在的。对此，仁者见仁，智者见智。有人认为，能否成功在于胸怀大志和老实肯干；有人认为，能否成功在于是不是勤奋；还有人认为，能否成功，关键在于一个人的机遇，如此等等。

在我看来，这些说法不无道理，但也都不尽如人意。一个积极的自我形象是成功的第一步；自信，是成功的第一“秘诀”。自信是煤，成功就是燃烧的火焰。

人各有所长，各有所短。一个人看不到自己的短处，容易自傲，固然不好；但是，看不到自己的长处，必然自卑。存在自卑心理的人，怎么能鼓起生活、事业的风帆？又怎么能达到光辉的彼岸呢？

阿基米德、伽利略、居里夫人、张衡、竺可桢等古今中外广为人知的科学家，他们之所以能取得成功，首先是因为有远大志向和非凡的自信力。英国发明家莫尔斯，原来是一位画家，但他对电磁学非常有兴趣。1932年从事电报机的创造，经过五年多的刻苦钻研，他制造成功了一台电磁式发报机。这台电报机很粗糙，遭到许多人的冷嘲热讽。在外界压力下，莫尔斯没有灰心，他坚信电报机对人类是有用的，更坚信：“我能干！”又经过几年的努力，电报机终于被各国普遍采用，并揭开了人类通信历史的新篇章。

莫尔斯和其他成功者的经验告诉我们，从自信、立志到成功的路程，是用坚韧和毅力铺成的。法国着名微生物学家巴斯德说过：字典里最重要的三个词，就是意志、工作、等待。我将要在这三块"基石"上建立我的"金字塔"。

现在，社会上关于成功的教育太多了，我们几乎把成功作为人生的终极目标。但我始终认为，成长比成功更重要。

成长是相关于生命的评价，成功是相关于社会的评价；

成长是一个内在的系统，成功是一个外在的体系。

妈妈更希望你注重心灵、注重自我、注重人格，而并不是那么在乎外在的标签。

Moreover, opportunities are usually disguised as hard work; therefore most people don’t recognize them. So if you want to achieve something, you must make efforts and get prepared. Otherwise, you will take no advantage of opportunities when they come to you. In my opinion, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in our society, but only those who have made enough preparations and are highly talented can make use of them to achieve their purpose.

Fortunately the process of keeping your resources focused post-launch is entirely the same. You need to pick your battles and allocate your resources toward the few initiatives that will be best served to do the one thing right that is truly driving your company. Serving the needs and whims of every customer sounds great, but it can also be a terrible detour when trying to keep the forward progress of your company moving.
