三十晚上，我和妈妈一起包了几盘饺子。包完饺子，我突然想到一个问题，这让我百思不得其解。于是我跑去问妈妈说：“为什么每次过春节都要吃饺子呢?”妈妈说：“因为饺子像元宝，吃了就能富贵。”我终于明白了。吃完饺子，我看了《春节联欢晚会》，一会是小品、一会儿是表演的，一会儿是歌舞，真是丰富多彩!

到了初一，我和妈妈一起去爷爷奶奶家拜年。我一见到两位老人家，就恭恭敬敬地说：“爷爷、奶奶我给你们拜年了，祝你们身体健康，长命百岁!”爷爷奶奶见我这么懂事，笑得合不拢嘴，连忙给了我压岁钱。

一转眼就到了初二。这是我最喜欢的一天，因为这样我就能得到更多的压岁钱。我早早地起了床，一直叫妈妈早点带我去外婆家。到了外婆家，外婆和灰灰一起在家门口迎接我。我连忙给外婆鞠了一躬，说：“外婆，我给您拜年了，祝您寿比南山，永远快乐!”外婆听了，一边把我抱在怀里，一边夸我长大了，懂事了。旁边的灰灰摇着尾巴，好像在说：“衡玥，你终于来了，我都等你大半天了。”晚上，外婆煮了许多菜：有肉，有鱼，有青菜、萝卜……可香了。这把我的肚子吃得鼓鼓的，犹如一个大皮球。之后外婆又给我了压岁钱，我开心极了!睡觉前我把我得到的钱数了数，整整有两千多块，我决定一半给爷爷、奶奶、外婆、买礼物，一半捐给灾区的小朋友。

今年的春节可真令我难忘啊!

Since the Spring Festival Gala on CCTV was established in the 1980s, it has been confirmed to be a huge success by attracting most audience in China. On the Eve of the Spring Festival, numerous Chinese will sit in front of the television screens looking forward to enjoy the annual celebration.

In modern China, watching the gala is still a traditional way to celebrate Chinese lunar New Year. However, the Gala seems to be suffering from declining rates of audience over the past few years. Actually, the Gala is never the only option any more when competing with several local televisions, which provide better possible choices. In addition, it is criticized that the traditional items of the Gala fail to appeal to people’s changing appetite, particularly the younger generation. Although the famous stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan are highly expected to add some freshness and modern elements to the performance, the Gala are still somewhat disappointing, far away from splendid. Consequently, the Gala is advocated to be cancelled due to its declination of reputation as well as the stereotyped content.

From my point of view, the Spring Festival Gala on CCTV should be still reserved because it is really good at creating a very colorful holiday atmosphere. Besides, it does have at least one or two excellent performance every year some of which become indelible memories. If the Gala can be redesigned to enrich its performance further, it will get away from being mediocre. But it is unnecessary to expect achieving its previous success. After all, the time has changed.

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival of our country. Every year, every household will eat dinner, paste couplets, fireworks, but busy!

"Get up, get up..." On February 17th, early in the morning, mother urged me to get up, said to take me to buy necessities. I am a listen to immediately get out of bed, dressed quickly, in a hurry after breakfast, and mother go to the market. We came to a couplet of the stall. A: wow! There were so many styles, our eyes are spent. Suddenly I saw a pair of couplets, top allied: happiness chardonnay thousand music, bottom allied write: offer the old plum Singapore flavours. I feel very good, then show it to the mother, mother also feel good, bought it. Today, we went to the vegetable market to buy vegetables much more special, my mother and I managed to squeeze in. Mom bought a roast duck, sausage, vegetables, meatballs, etc. A lot of delicious, we cant carry it all. Back home, the home has come a lot of relatives, sister, brother, uncle, aunt... Good lively! They gave me money, I was really big harvest!

In the afternoon, my brother and I together stick couplets, paste, my brother and I ran upstairs together, waiting for a big family reunion dinner on the table, by the way, I also help make dumplings, ha ha. The fireworks in the evening, my in the mind very happy! "Chip, pa" "dong, dong," came the voice of fireworks exploded outside the window, a chain of moments of fireworks fly in the sky, colorful, beautiful! Look at the others fireworks, there isnt much to take, I also went downstairs fireworks! When we have a good time, father shouted upstairs "come on, the Spring Festival evening party started! We have a listen to, and scrambled upstairs.

This year the Spring Festival is fun! More and more, I like the Spring Festival.

春节是我国的传统节日。每到大年三十，家家户户都会吃年夜饭、贴对联、放烟花，可热闹了!

“起床了，起床了……”，大年三十一大早，妈妈就催促我起床，说要带我去购买年货。我一听立刻从床上爬起来，急忙穿好衣服，匆匆吃完早饭，和妈妈一起去市场。我们来到一个卖对联的小摊上。哇!样式可真多啊，挑的我们眼睛都花了。忽然我看到了一副对联，上联写着：岁岁瑞霞千家乐，下联写着：献岁梅花万里香。我觉得挺好的，便拿给妈妈看，妈妈也觉得不错，就买下了。我们又去了菜市场，今天来买菜的人特别多，我和妈妈好不容易才挤了进去。妈妈买了烤鸭、香肠、青菜、肉丸等好多好吃的，我们都拿不动了。回到家里，家里已经来了好多亲人，有大姨、哥哥、舅舅、舅妈……好热闹啊!他们还给了我压岁钱呢，我可真是大丰收啊!

下午，我和哥哥一起贴对联，贴好后，我和哥哥一起跑上楼，等着丰盛的年夜饭上桌，对了，我还帮忙包饺子了呢，呵呵。到了晚上，该放烟花了，我心里好开心呀!“噼、啪”“咚、咚”，窗外传来烟花爆炸的声音，一串串的烟花飞上了天空，五彩缤纷的，漂亮极了!看别人放烟花，没有自己放好玩，我也下楼放烟花喽!正当我们玩的开心时，爸爸在楼上喊道：“快上来啦，春节晚会开始了”!我们一听，又争先恐后的拥上楼去。

今年过春节真好玩啊!我越来越喜欢春节了。

It was the Eve of the Spring Festival.

Dusk was just falling as I slurped up the last bit of rice and laid down my chopsticks.

“Theyre starting!” cried my friend excitedly. “Quick! Quick!”

Outside, children were running everywhere. Their happy voices and faces made me warm inside, despite the cold wind that greeted me. My friend thrust a bundle of straw in my hands. “Come!” he cried. I giggled as I ran to catch up to him; the childrens excitement was a fever that spread to even the big kids like us.

I soon joined a rowdy bunch of children and teenagers who were building a bonfire in the middle of a path that ran through the wheat fields. “Here,”said my friend, handing me a long bamboo pole. “Put some of your straw in the fire. Then tie the rest onto your pole like this.” He demonstrated with his own materials, and I followed his example. Then he thrust both our torches into the fire and handed me mine. “Now run!”

And run I did----we all did. For miles and miles around, as far as I could see, there were small orange specks scattered about, and I could hear the distant screaming and laughing of other children running up and down the rice field path. For several hours into the night I helped build fires and keep an eye on the younger children. Occasionally I, too, lit a torch and ran around like a mad man, screaming and waving a flaming bamboo pole.

This festival, which occurred six days before Chinese New Year, was just one of the experiences during the visit to my friends over the Spring Festival. As it was explained to me, the purpose behind this festival was to allow the children to have fun burning up all the straw leftover after the harvest. Later, the ash is used for fertilizer.
