I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

Dear President,

I’m a second year student of your university writing to tell you about my

humble opinions of the learning environment in our school.

Although we’re enjoying the modernized buildings equipped with advanced

computers sufficient lights and well-installed desks and chairs we do find it

hard for us to concentrate on study when we’re in the classrooms. For one thing

the annoying noise made by the vans and cars disturbs our studies. For another

the classrooms which are supposed to be used for self-study are unavailable for

they are usually occupied for meetings by various kinds of associations.

Faced with such a hard nut we should find ways to crack it. I suggest that

our school should construct some special lanes for the traffic and provide

associations with specific rooms to have their meetings in order to provide a

better learning environment for us.

然而对于初登讲台的我们，第一次的备课，第一次的试讲，一切的设想，都会和现实有多多少少的偏差，这也颠覆了老师在我心中的形象。在没有成为老师之前，甚至在没有登上讲台之前，我一直认为老师这个职业是最轻松的，因为每年可以休两个大假期，每逢节假日还可以放假，平时的工作就是一天上那么几节课，上完课就没有什么事了，可当我真正走进这一行的时候，才知道现实的背后并非如此。

在学期之初，每位教师都需要对整个学期的教学做出规划，想好自己的教学思路，在每节课之前要根据不同的课程内容，选择不同的教学方法，根据不同的学生，备好不同的课，备课的时间，远远超过站在讲台上的那几十分钟。在上课时候，你们发散的思维会带来不同的问题，需要用我的智慧，来面对课堂上的各种问题和突发情况。课下需要我们进行反思，学我的教反思，对你的学习反思，在和你们的教与学中，不仅仅是你们在教学生知识与方法，学生们也在向我们传递着知识与能量。因此，在课下也需要老师们及时为自己充电，这样才能带领着你们更好的前行。

i am writing to you to express my thanks for your help in learning english

and speaking english.

during these days in your class, i have learned much from you and it is

very helpful to me. firstly, you let me know what is the west thinking

pattern—straight thinking pattern. and, i think, it is very important to

understand the west’s thoughts. as you know, this can help me with my

examination and interaction with foreigners. secondly, i have got enough

confidence in speaking in english from your class and it took me a long time to

gain this confidence. now, i always express my ideas in english as possible as i

can. it’s great to do that. the last not the least, i find that learning english

is not an boring thing as before and i’m interested in studying english which

was just a necessary task to pass examinations. reading, listening or speaking

all become interesting and i really enjoy it.

我们一起共处了六年了，这六年过得真快啊，一转眼就过去了。但还记得我是在一年级的时候，第一个认识的就是你了，那是很久以前的记忆了，到现在已记不清多少，但我知道——那时我们俩玩得很开心，就像亲姐妹俩一样。。。

其中有一件事，令我印象很深刻。

那是在五年级期中考试的时候，我忘了带橡皮，我十分紧张，心想：这下可惨了，做错题擦不了了，不能得高分了，怎么办呐?我看向周围的同学，都在认真地做自己的试卷，我怎么好意思向别人借橡皮呢?正在我不知所措的时候，是你悄悄地从桌子底下递给了我橡皮。当时，我心里有一种很温暖的感觉，紧张的心情一下就烟消云散了，而且心里感动的不得了，握着你给的橡皮，我开始擦起题来，心里却在想：真是太好了，难得有这么雪中送炭的同学啊，要是别人的话，就只顾做自己的题了。用完橡皮后，我把橡皮递给了你，你却一边用眼神，一边用动作对我说：没关系，你先用着吧，反正我还有一块橡皮，你考完试再还给我吧。我听完她的话后，心里就更加感动了，所以跟她成了最好的朋友。

从这以后，我们俩更是形影不离。

还记得有一次，我拖着沉重的步伐走向操场，准备上体育课，你见了，就赶忙问我：“晶晶，你怎么了?没事吧?”我总会说道：“没事”。可你看我不对劲，非要我说出来，我只好对你说，你听后，立刻就会帮我排忧解难，如果是心情不好，你就会安慰我，如果是同学骂了我，你一定会帮我出头，找那些男生算账，对他们大吼大叫，可对我就很温柔;而如果是题不会做，你就会叫别的女生来一起探讨，然后教我。。。

和你一起玩耍，一起奔跑在操场下，一起听伤心的歌，一起坐在椅子上分享快乐的事情。。。这些回忆让我感到和你相处很快乐，让我觉得回忆是那么的宝贵，友谊是那么值得珍惜。。。
