Now, the new semester has begun for more than one week. I gradually adapt

to my new life in senior school. In senior school, my biggest feeling is busy,

for I have classes all the day and teachers leave us a lot of homework. In the

morning, I have two periods for morning reading, Chinese and English, beginning

from 7:00. After that, I have four periods in the morning and four other in the

afternoon. There are many more subjects than in middle school, Chinese, math,

Today is Saturday. Today is very strange, very special, because when I go

Our Librar is a busy place.It is open every day from8:00--12:00 in the

morning and from 1:30--5:30 in the after-noon,except on Sundays.

literary and scientific and technical books in Chinese and in foreign

languages.In this building too,are reading-rooms with newspapers and

magazines.Perhaps English books account for over a half of those in foreign

lanuages.

We often go there to look for books which we want to borrow or to read

articles which we like to consult.Our library provides all useful reading matter

and reference materials according to our needs.Although we do not subscribe to

any magazines or newspapers,we are well informed about the recent developments

and new trends in the world as well as in our country.The library plays an

important role in our college life.

Tourism in China

Recent years have seen a tendency in China that tourism is growing faster. According to a recent survey made by some experts, about 47% urban residents travel regularly, and 28% rural residents also make their tour across the country. The survey also shows that more people are interested in tourism, and will join the army in the future.

Facing this tendency, we can’t help exploring some underlying factors that are responsible. 源，水之本也。文化是一个国家、一个民族的灵魂，而文物则是文化奠基和传承的最好载体，中华文明能绵延至今，是先民们在顺应自然、参悟天地之间，将自己对自然的所思所想凝结成一件件器物，又经无数代人的努力，得以流传至今。中华文化之“源”，不是单一的，是多源头的，有史前红山人的“玉龙”，是中华龙文化文明的源泉之一;有新石器时代良渚文化的“玉琮”，良渚人以玉为配饰，以显示尊贵和财富，而如今的中国人，也对玉情有独钟;而到了商周时期，商人于龟甲刻辞，不仅为后人研究商代的社会历史文化和语言文字提供了珍贵资料，同时也能让后人一睹早期汉字的风采;而秦始皇时期，统一文字、货币、度量衡，废分封、行郡县，建立中央集权、创建三公九卿，为后世建立大一统国家打下了坚实基础;汉朝罢黜百家、独尊儒术，使儒家学说成为中国封建正统思想，一直延续了两千多年，对后世中国政治、经济、文化产生了深远的影响。而正是这些“源”，才造就了如此璀璨绵长的中华文明，为中华文明之河奔流千载、绵延万方提供不竭动力。

以中华文明之“流”，感文化自信之传承。

流，集多源之水。现实和历史都表明，一个抛弃或背叛自己历史文化的民族，不仅不可能发展起来，而且很可能上演一幕幕历史悲剧。而中华民族就是一个善于将多样民族文化融合并传承的民族，在中华文明的历史长河中，各民族共同开疆扩土、共同书写历史、共同创造灿烂文化、共同培育伟大精神。我们有喜爱自然主义装饰的古滇族，有生活在甘、青、川的古老民族羌和氐，还有在大理国时代融合了佛教文化并尊“金翅鸟”为护卫神鸟的北方游牧民族。文明因交流而多彩，因互鉴而丰富。海上、陆上丝绸之路的畅通也为中华文明同外部文明的融合创造了良好条件，我们采用中东钴蓝釉料制作出青花瓷、用阿拉伯的“铜胎掐丝珐琅”工艺制作“香薰球”，用源于古印度的“本生故事”描绘莫高窟壁画《鹿王本生故事图》，同时我们又将我们瓷器、茶叶、丝绸等出口出去，在络绎不绝的交流中获得发展创新的契机与动力。

以中华文明之“汇”，感文化自信之包容。

汇，拢万流于一处，成百川之渊薮。我们今天所走的中国特色社会主义道路，是从中华民族5000多年悠久文明的传承中走出来的。求木之长者，必固其根本;欲流之远者，必浚其源泉’。中华优秀传统文化是中华民族的精神命脉，是涵养社会主义核心价值观的重要源泉，也是我们在世界文化激荡中站稳脚跟的坚实根基。”中华民族凭借着以和为贵、海纳百川的包容特质、天下一家的大国气度，汲百家之长，取万物之精华，将各族儿女紧密团结在一起，秉持着天下为公之胸怀，凝聚万众一心之伟力，共筑万里山河，共护江山万里。

华夏是历史也是现在，中国是家邦更是信仰。古人讲“万物有所生，而独知守其根”。中华文明绵延至今，正是因为有这种根的意识。而作为一名共产党员，作为一名基层工作人员，我们更应该身体力行，做好中华文化的继承者和传播者。社区是社会的基因，将中国传统文化的诸多精髓融入社区文化之中，成为建设和谐社会的内驱力。每一代人有每一代人的长征，我们应该增强文化自觉、坚定文化自信，积极投身到社会主义文化强国的建设中，坚持为人民服务、为社会主义服务，展示中华文化新气象、铸就中华文化新辉煌，时刻牢记历史文化遗产是祖先留给我们的宝贵财富，我们一定要完整地将它交给后人!
