第二天，也就新年第一天初一了，我家非常热闹，因为我爷爷是我姓族辈分最大的，所以很多人来给我爷爷拜年，他们祝爷爷奶奶身体健康，快快乐乐。妈妈拿出水果，糖果来招待他们。妈妈可忙了又要做饭又要炒菜，吃完饭后还要打扫卫生。我有时候也会帮忙，因为妈妈太辛苦了。

到初二了，爸爸妈妈带我一起去外婆家拜年，此时此刻，那是我最开心的时候，因为去到那里可以拿到很多的压岁钱，这些都是舅舅，舅妈，外婆……给的。

我有一本书，这书的名字叫《感悟母爱》，是这本书照亮了我人生的路。读了这本书，我第一个感想就是：母爱如河，母爱如盐；母爱像冬天里的火，母爱像夏天的雪糕；母爱太伟大了。

在这本书中，有一个故事让我记忆深刻：有一个疯女人在一个村子里没人要，然后一个男人想娶她为他生个儿子，生完儿子立刻不要他。后来，结婚后果然生了个儿子，这个儿子很可爱。后来，因家里太穷，所以不要她了，孩子一天天地长大了，就懂得了母亲这个词，天天要妈妈。过了些年，母亲被奶奶带了回来，开始教她干活，因干活惹出了不少麻烦。有一次儿子被同学欺负，母亲把那个同学揍了一顿，那个同学的父亲找到了家里，母挨了一顿毒打。为了能和儿子在一起，母亲经常讨好儿子，时常弄些好吃的给儿子。一次，母亲看到悬崖上的桃子熟了，很好吃，于是，她就去上峭壁上摘桃子，就在她要摘那个最大的桃子时，一失足摔下悬崖，死了。这就是母爱，一个疯女人的母爱！、

读了这个故事我泪流满面，感受到了母爱的伟大，同时也体会到了母亲为了孩子能付出一切，却很少要求孩子的回报。类似这样的故事举不胜举。

这本读物让我明白了一个道理：在这个世界上，只有母亲是最爱你的，她无时无刻地在牵挂你，无论是你在咫尺还是天涯。

母爱的伟大不是三言两语可以形容的，以后我要更加孝顺母亲，让母亲过上更快乐的日子！

对外的游子，过新年是再美好不过的词语了，不管有多少的艰辛，他们总会带着满满的对家人的思恋回到属于自己的家乡和家人来一个亲密的拥抱，这个时候的世界多了很多人情味，到处都洋溢着喜悦的味道。

过新年的时候，大家都抛下自己的旧衣服，换上自己的新衣服，连环绕在我们周围的空气里传来的都是温馨的风味，“过年”的时间作为中国人最看重的一段时间。过年的味道当然不止这些了，还有许多味道没被发觉。

过年的鞭炮味

“啊!姐姐快来!准备放鞭炮啦!”四岁的堂弟急得像兔子一样四处乱跳，鞭炮、鞭炮你快乐响吧!好，我刚挂好鞭炮要点了，堂弟这只兔子却不知去哪儿了?原来跳回“兔子洞”里去了，躲藏在门后，不敢出来，睁着一双大眼睛盯着鞭炮等着我去点燃它!真是个“雷声大雨点小”的小不点。我硬把他从门后拉出来，在我几十遍的鼓励声下，在我说了比沙漠里的沙子数量还多的“不怕，没事的!”堂弟终于拿着带火的木棒走到鞭炮前，只见他左手拿鞭炮，右手捂耳朵。左脚在后，右脚往前跨出一大步，一幅要将要飞奔而出的样子，逗得大家笑得眼泪都出来了。终于，堂弟下定决心看他一幅视死如归的样子，点燃了鞭炮，然后比光还快的速度，闪回到门后，大家笑得更厉害了。

随着“啪啪”的声响，鞭炮燃尽了，发了的白烟，那味道虽然有点熏人，但在大家欢乐地笑声中，鞭炮味给人一种欢乐温暖的过年味道。

过年满屋飘香的饺子香味

最让我难以忘记的还是那饺子的香味。“快来!快来包饺子、准备煮饺子了!”我们一大家子人围在桌子旁，闻着自己和的玉米面与大米面混合在一起的“独门面皮”的清香以及散发着浓浓芝麻香的“独门饺子馅”。每个人的嘴角都流出了一串，发着“银光”的“透明液体”，大家把嘴边的口水都用纸巾擦一擦，别流到食材里面去了，不干净!”一向贪吃的表姐发话了，还顺手拿纸巾将自己嘴边的都快掉到地上的口水擦了一把。在大家熟练的包饺子的技术下，比机器包的还漂亮还迅速的动作下，一盘又一盘饺子被堂弟开着“货车”运进了厨房，让一分钟只能包两个饺子的我自愧不如。

饺子下锅了，抽烟机“轰轰”地工作着。坐在沙发上看“春晚”的我闻到了饺子那清新的玉米面的香味，不一会儿，淡黄色的饺子就端了上来。表姐迫不及待地拿起一个往嘴里送“啊!烫!”她赶忙拿手把饺子从那狮子般大口中拿出，放了一会，她咬开饺子，那饺子馅的香味满屋都是。“谁偷吃饺子了?”在房里埋头苦干的老妈冲了出来，“啊，哈哈!偷吃被发现了吧!”。我一脸坏笑地说完，就拿起一个饺子往嘴里送，果然这饺子真是人间美味啊!不一会儿，饺子都熟了，大家大开“吃戒”。

整间屋子弥漫着饺子香味，那阵阵玉米面香、芝麻香混在一起，让我倍感温馨，在饺子里香味里我闻出了一种其乐融融的过年味道。

这就是我的故乡留给我的过年的味道，虽然很平常，但在我的脑海中挥之不去。啊!多么温馨和谐欢乐的过年味道啊!我想不只在我的故乡有这种过年的味道，整个中国也有这般过年的味道，甚至在海外，凡是有中国人的地方，到了过年也一定有这般温馨和谐欢乐过年的味道!

People will make a lot of friends during their lifetime, the more friends

they make, the more capable they are. Some young people are proud of having many

friends, but only the true friends deserve us to care about. The person we make

must be positive to life. He will set the good example to you and help you to be

a better man. The bad friends will make you perverted, especially for the

teenagers, they can’t make the right judgement and are easy to follow others, so

the friends are very important part of their lives. Once they make the wrong

friends, they will do the bad thing. So we don’t need more friends, just the

right one.

China has the history of more than 5,000 years. Many foreign people are

attracted by this big old country. They come here and want to know about the

traditional culture. However, Chinese young people dont show much interest in

the old culture, instead they chase the fashion and some even abandon the

precious culture. For example, paper cutting, one of the excellent arts that is

inherited by our ancestors. Many foreign media speak highly of this great

handicraft and they are astonished by the wisdom of Chinese people. I have seen

this art when I stay in my hometown. Only few old people can do it. They just

take it for killing time. Paper cutting is like the old fashion and is forgotten

by the young generation. The media should report more positive information about

the traditional culture to inspire the young people to learn.

本届世博会无疑是既成功又精彩还难忘的。这么好的一个盛会就在自家门口举办，不去看太不人道了。中国人赶集市逛庙会图的就是人声鼎沸、锣鼓喧天、摩肩接踵、车水马龙，图的就是一个，热闹。乘着世博会闭幕前的60万人以上常态超大客流，我首次踏进世博园，在世博园里走了一遭，几个心仪的热门场馆大部分都看了解馋了。眼见国人把长达好几个小时的排队视同派对，一副“五岭逶迤腾细浪，乌蒙磅礴走泥丸”的豪迈的等候精神着实让我大受感动。

民众为什么能不辞辛劳求得进馆长见识开眼界?好奇心和求知欲是一方面，场馆的设计和布展精心精彩不惜代价是主要方面，最主要的是排队秩序维护得好，有凉棚长凳风扇等小心的侍候，有场馆主人为解除场外寂寞的贴心的表演。

相比之下我们的大学课堂和我们的大学老师失败到了极点。都进入21世纪第2个年代了，还是像孔夫子时代一样，一个讲台一块板，老师唱戏学生听。我们是苦口婆心(指许多教师枯燥乏味絮絮叨叨的讲课风格)授知识，相濡以沫(指某些教师在讲课和面对面教育学生时唾沫星四溅的样子)助成长。难怪沉闷和崩溃是大学教学楼里最常见的风景。大学的授课方式太落后于时代了，就像陆家嘴里的茅草屋，高铁线旁的黄鱼车，与现代化网络化信息化反差太大了，与计算机时代的快节奏太不适应太不协调了。高校教师的角色定位的确应该变一变了。在现代时代背景下的高校教师应该是世博会场馆的设计者、管理者和营运者。高校的授业解惑，科学传承应该是群体的活动，而不是一门课一个教师的个体的搭积木式的活动。

但这种变革的推动和系统构建不是教师所能为之的，教师只是大学里的棋子，要靠学校领导层以及学校以上的政策制定阶层发动和组织。好场馆必须要有卓越的有能力的主办方和强有力的赞助方作为后盾，否则一事无成!

face of personal pressure.

When you know youre right, you cant back down. Always give others credit

that is rightfully theirs. Dont be afraid of those who might have a better idea

or who might even be smarter than you are. Be honest and open about who you

really are. People who lack genuine core values rely on external factors--their

looks or status---in order to feel good about themselves. Inevitably they will

do everything they can to preserve this facade,but they will do very little to

develop their inner value and personal growth.

So be yourself. Dont engage in a personal cover-up of areas that are

unpleasing in your life. When its tough, do it tough. In other words, face

reality and be adult in your responses to lifes challenges.

Self-respect and a clear conscience are powerful components of integrity

and are the basis for enriching your relationships with others.

Integrity means you do what you do because its right and not just

fashionable or politically correct. A life of principle, of not succumbing to

the seductive sirens of an easy morality,will always win the day. My

grandparents taught me that.

The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it

simply as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Moon".

This day was also considered as a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables

and grain had been harvested by this time and food was abundant. Food offerings

were placed on an altar set up in the courtyard. Apples, pears, peaches, grapes,

pomegranates(石榴), melons, oranges and pomelos(柚子) might be seen. Special foods

for the festival included moon cakes, cooked taro(芋头)and water caltrope(菱角), a

type of water chestnut resembling black buffalo horns. Some people insisted that

cooked taro be included because at the time of creation, taro was the first food

discovered at night in the moonlight. Of all these foods, it could not be

omitted from the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Nowadays, electronic music is very popular around the world. First electronic music got popular from Lady Gaga, her creative dressing styles caught people’s attention and then people started to notice her music. They fell in love with her electronic music. Unlike rock and roll music, electronic music is more favorable by me. It makes me excited and I am totally lost in the wonderful music. Once my friends and I went to a music festival. There were so many people standing there and listening to the music. Especially when the DJ came out and everybody got excited. When the DJ played electronic music, my friends and I shook our bodies and joined the crowd to dance. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I will never forget the power of electronic music. It brings people together and share the same emotion.

在春节之前，要做的事情还真不少，大人小孩都忙得不亦乐乎，准备年货、打扫房子、祭拜祖宗等等。贴春联是过年必不可少的一件事。爸爸和外公一大清早就开始贴春联了，我和弟弟看见了，一拥而上，争着要帮忙，我们四个忙成一团。过了一会，春联贴好了，我们分工开始打扫房子。我和弟弟负责擦窗户和扫地，爸爸负责拖地，外公负责整理各个房间。一会儿，家里顿时看上去特别干净利落，用一尘不染来形容一点儿也不夸张。这时，妈妈和外婆也把午饭做好了，我们吃完饭后，姨夫和阿姨来了，院子里顿时热闹了起来。

大家看，面前的这一幅壁画，是佛教艺术的其中一幅。这幅画的描绘的是《尸毗王割肉救鸽》的故事。在很久很久以前，有一个叫国王叫尸毗王，大家都知道释迦摩尼吧，尸毗王就是它的前世。尸毗王十分的诚实、善良和仁慈，他一心求佛。天上有两个佛想要考验尸毗王是不是真心求佛。他们一个变成了鸽子，一个变成了老鹰。老鹰追逐鸽子，鸽子躲到了尸毗王的怀里。老鹰恶狠狠地说：“把鸽子还给我!”因为尸毗王十分善良，他愿意割自己的肉给老鹰，来换取鸽子的性命。两个佛看尸毗王果然是真心向善，这时，天空下了一阵香雨，国王感到身体轻飘飘的，他成了佛。这个故事就讲完啦。

梦想，是人的希望之光。梦想，是人的远大目标。有了梦想，才能在人生的低谷往上爬。没有梦想的人，像是在茫茫大海中迷路的船只，任风吹，任浪打。而梦想却是那枚丢失的指南针，为你寻找正确的方向。

梦想，并非遥不可及，只要你肯坚持不懈都可以实现。没有不能实现的目标，只有好吃懒做的人。其实，梦想不一定第一次就要提的远大，可以先从小事做起，做到了，再慢慢变得远大。我们大家都应该有梦想，有了梦想自己就会不知不觉的向你的梦想努力。虽然，说梦想越远大越好，可是，也不能是无稽之谈。

每个人都有自己的梦想，都有自己的理想。我们不能规定他人的理想一定是什么，那是它们自己的决定，我们不能干涉，可我们自己也要有梦想。

梦想是一朵绚烂、美丽、长开不败的春花。

梦想是一眼泉水，一眼长流不息的泉水。朱熹有曰：“问渠那得清，为有源头活水来。”

梦想是一座高而险的山，只有，不懈奋斗，永不停息，才有可能登上最高最美的顶峰。

梦想是一只海燕。在心灵的海面上骄傲的翱翔。

让我们站在高峰上呐喊：“我的梦，中国梦!我的梦，中国梦!我要把它带给万古长青的草地，带给蔚蓝色的大海，带给万里无云的天空!我要坚持我的梦想，直到永远，永远……

Barack Obama is the first president of black people, whose story inspires

so many young people to chase their dreams. As the saying that every successful

man has a woman to support him, and this woman for Obama is his wife Michelle.

As the first lady, Michelle helped Obama so much. During the campaign, she gave

inspiring speeches and people knew what they should voted for. Michelle was born

in a poor family, but her mother paid special attention to education. Michelle

was the top students all the time and she entered the top university, then she

got the degree of doctor. Then she worked in a good law office. She was an

excellent lawyer and the job experience made her a good orator. Michelle set

good examples for the women. She showed that woman’s power was great, and they

could be whoever they wanted.

Many traditional arts are losing nowadays, because some of them have been

replaced by the new machines and the scientific products. I feel so sorry about

the losing arts, in my opinion, they are so classic and their charm will never

fade away. Take my grandma for example. She is good at paper-cut which was

inherited from her mother. But when comes to my mother’s generation, paper-cut

seems to be kicked out, there are less people need it, so my mother doesn’t

learn this skill. The paper-cut art is losing in my family. When I found my

grandma had this skill, I was so surprised and curious about it. I asked my

grandma to teach me this skill. During the process, I found this art was so

great, I was attracted by it. Some traditional arts like paper-cup should be

kept.

Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment。

There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to be

unlimited。

Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We are using up

our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals。 If

we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。

We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be

none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We

know that if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we

continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that

if rivers are polluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products

are

still put into rivers。

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in a

few years， there wont be enough food。What can we do to solve these

problems?

If we eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。

Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are

kept。

Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods

of birth control。

Finally， if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a

better and cleaner planet in the future。

The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand Ii Great Wall" in Chinese. In fact, it s more than 6 000 kilometres long. It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It is one of the wonders of the world.

The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the borders of the different kingdoms. It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the dif ferent parts into one empire. To keep the enemy out of his empire, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined up. Thus, the Great Wall came into being.

The Great Wall is wide enough at the top for five horses or ten men to walk side by side. Along the wall are watchtowers, where soldiers used to keep watch. Fires were lit on the the towers as a warning when the enemy came.

It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any modern machines. All the work was done by hand. Thousands of men died and were buried under the wall they built. The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth, but of the flesh and blood of millions of men.

Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chinese but to people from all over the world. Many of them have come to know the famous Chinese saying: "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."

中国的长城

中国的万里长城被称为“万里长城”。事实上，它有6000多公里长。它蜿蜒地从西向东，穿过沙漠，越过高山，穿过山谷，直到最后到达大海。它是世界奇观之一。

长城有二十多个世纪的历史。它的第一部分是在春秋时期建造的。战国时期，有更多的城墙被用来保卫不同王国的边界。正是在秦朝，秦国把帝夫的发福部分统一为一个帝国。为了把敌人赶出他的帝国，秦始皇把所有的城墙连在一起。于是，长城诞生了。

长城的宽度足以让五匹马或十个人并排走。沿着墙的是瞭望塔，士兵们常常在那里守望。当敌人到来时，在塔上点燃了火作为警告。

在古代没有任何现代机器的情况下，很难建造这样一堵墙。所有的工作都是手工完成的。成千上万的人死了，被埋在他们建造的城墙下。长城不仅是由石头和泥土建成的，而且是几百万人的血肉所组成的。

今天，长城不仅对中国人，而且对来自世界各地的人都有兴趣。他们中的许多人都知道中国著名的谚语:“没有到达长城的人不是真正的人。”
