每年五月份，枣树就开花了。枣花并不鲜艳，远处望去几乎和枣树叶子一样，而且花期很短，没有几天便结出一个尖尖的小青枣。

小枣长得特别快，两三个星期过后，小枣就长得像莲子那么大，这时，小枣由青绿色变成淡绿色。孩子们见了，就会嘴馋，路过树边，顺便摘几个放进嘴里，可是没有甜味，只觉得滑溜溜的。
