清明节是我们中华民族的传统节日，清明节也叫寒食节。每当清明节到了，家家户户都带着香烛、纸钱来到祖先的坟前焚烧，表示祭奠祖先。清明节正好赶上阳光明媚、柳绿花红、百花齐放的好时光，正好人们踏青春游，气温也渐渐升高，人们也开始种田，所以有一句古老的话：清明前后，种瓜点豆。

今年清明节也和以前一样，我们在家里准备了酒、水果和鲜花。带上东西去老家给先祖登山扫墓，路上看到很多人拿着鲜花，她们的神情都很严肃，可能都在思念自己的亲人。

很快我们就来到了祖先的墓碑，爸爸先用刀把草砍掉，把墓碑前整理的干净，我和爸爸一起把酒、水果和鲜花放在墓碑前面，然后和爸爸妈妈一起给先祖三鞠躬。祈祷祖先保佑大家身体健健康康。扫完墓我们离开了祖先的墓地。

清明节，我们要不忘记自己的亲人，不忘记那些为今天的美好而奋斗的英雄们，让中国这个古老的传统习俗传承下去。

一把剪刀和几张纸，能做什么呢？经过灵巧的双手，它却可以变成精美的图案噢。

剪纸的历史十分悠久，最早可以追溯到汉唐时期。那时的民间妇女用金银箔和彩帛剪成吉祥图案等装饰物，贴在脸的两侧。现代的剪纸大多出之农村妇女之手，她们剪出的花样大都是农民最向往的东西，如：家禽、家畜、花鸟、农作物、戏曲故事、吉祥图案等。贴在窗上的是窗花，贴在门上的是门签，少数作为墙花、顶棚花、喜花、灯花和刺绣的花样。此外剪纸还被用作祭祀祖先和神仙所用供品的装饰物。

剪纸的花样和地方也有密切的关系，北方剪纸的花样大多是戏曲人物，而南方的剪纸精巧秀丽，多作为刺绣的底料。

春节是我们国家的传统的节日，俗称过年。这是中国人最高兴的候。

“年”的由来有个传说：古代有一种叫年的野兽，它的样子极为可怕，青面獠牙，三头六臂，每到年底时就会出来找人吃。老百姓们都害怕极了！这时，有一位老者想出一条妙计，他让大伙儿在门上贴春联，挂上鞭炮，等到年兽来时，就把门前的鞭炮点燃，“年”误以为是火，吓得屁股尿流，急忙逃跑。为了庆祝年逃走，人们就把这一天定为“过年”。

年三十那天的团圆饭，可是过年的重头戏，今年过年，奶奶和妈妈从早上忙到晚上，我走进厨房，看到厨房里堆满了食材，有鸡、鱼、肉、蛋……我满怀期待。经过几个小时的忙活，终于开饭了，圆桌上放满了美味菜肴，有凉菜、炒菜、炖菜……样样齐全，一闻到香味，我情不自禁就咽了口水。其中四喜圆子给我印象最深，它形状圆圆的，象征着团圆，咬上一口里面的汁都流出来了。吃完饭了，爸爸带我出去放鞭炮。回来以后，一家人围坐在电视旁看春节联欢晚会，这也是春节必不可少的一件事，这一天晚上还要守岁。小孩大人都要熬到12点，然后出来放炮，庆祝新一年的到来。

传统中国年，家家户户都在欢乐的气氛中度过。

中国的传统文化有很多，有戏曲、古诗词、书法、剪纸…等。但是我最感兴趣的是传统节日。

在众多的传统节日里我最喜欢的莫过于春节了，它有着悠久的历史文化。每每到了春节这一天，我都会帮着爸爸一起贴春联、贴倒福，可高兴了。到了晚上，一大家人围着一起高高兴兴的吃着年夜饭听爷爷给我们讲年的故事，外面的鞭炮声"砰、砰、砰"的响个不停，真是热闹非凡啊！

我还喜欢过端午节，端午节为每年农历五月初五，又称为端阳节，午日节，五月节等。赛龙舟、吃粽子、插艾蒿、戴香包，是端午节主要习俗。

今年的端午节，我非常开心！因为我知道了怎么包粽子。先把糯米泡在水里，然后把粽子叶浸湿，就可以包了。将两片叶子竖直相合，再将粽子叶叠成三角形，把糯米放进去，再放几个红枣进去把粽子叶合上绑上线，一个粽子就包好了。最后放锅里煮，大约一个小时就可以出锅了。粽子香气四溢，真是太美味了！

传统节日经过了岁月的考验和提炼留下来很多精华，闪耀着民族智慧与民族精神的灿烂光茫，我喜欢传统节日！

地藏节是在每年的农历七月三十，据《光绪慈溪县志》记载：“晦日七月，各家儿童插香于此，或以灯果祀地藏王。”农历七月三十日据说是地藏菩萨的生日，每家每户都要点燃地藏香这样可以保佑自己以及家人健康，还可以保有失去的亲人在阴间里过的幸福。

这次我们还是按照节日习俗，一起过地藏节吧!这天，奶奶拿出一碗清水，慢慢倒入土里，我不解的问：“为什么要倒清水?”奶奶语重心长地告诉我：“今天，是地藏节，是地藏菩萨的生日，她平时是不睁眼的，只有在这一天才睁眼，倒一碗清水让地藏王明目。”我似懂非懂，但却口是心非的说：“哦，我们去插地藏香。”爸爸拿出了一大把地藏香，分给我们三个小孩，又帮我们点上香，“我们来比赛谁插得快。”弟弟提议。我一口答应了下来。可是，过了一会我就后悔了，地藏香薰得我直咳嗽，我只好忍着。我把香插在土里、缝隙里、沙堆里……“终于插完了。”我擦擦汗，高兴的说。看着门前全是一点一点亮亮的就像天空中的点点繁星，美丽极了!插完香，我立马躲进屋里，避邪驱妖。

这就是一年一次的传统节日——地藏节。我希望着传统节日能一直传承下去，让我们的子孙后代也能体会到我们中国传统节日的魅力。

中国传统节日丰富多彩，有中秋节、重阳节、端午节、春节、元宵节等等。如果你问我最喜欢什么节日?我会毫不犹豫地说：“春节!”为什么呢?因为春节可以放鞭炮、贴“福”字、吃火锅、收到许多的压岁钱，还可以和我的兄弟姐妹一起玩耍。

记得有一次，我过春节时，我早早地起床了。我吃起了年糕饭，那味道甜甜的。妈妈说：“下午我们去外婆家。”我听到后，高兴极了。我赶快收拾行李，一直等啊等，终于等到下午了，我迫不及待地出家门说：“妈妈快点!”我们上了车，开始出发了。我真希望快点到外婆家。

The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. That‘s why ancient Chinese began to celebrate this festival long time ago.

The custom of ascending a height to avoid epidemics was passed down from long time ago. Therefore, the Double Ninth Festival is also called Height Ascending Festival. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains on this day.

On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. There is no fixed ways for the Double Ninth Cake, but super cakes will have as many as nine layers, looking like a tower.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time when chrysanthemum blooms. China boasts diversified species of chrysanthemum and people have loved them since ancient times. 自从我能跟在哥哥，姐姐后面跑开始到离家工作几乎每个端午节都是在村子西北的的沙丘上过的。

有很多年，我爷爷都黎明前就挑过来无根水，又上山采回艾蒿草放在窗台上，夹在门把后，还夹在我们姐弟几个的耳朵上。这过节的气氛就是在这艾草的淡淡清香中弥漫开来。无需任何华丽的语言，满是对儿孙健康，幸福的祝福。

有时我爷一给我夹上我就能醒过来，而有时却是闻到那艾蒿的阵阵清香后慢慢才从睡梦里醒来。不管咋醒这天早晨没喝无根水以前是不能说话的。平时叽叽喳喳闹个不停的我们几个这天都很乖的，喝完无根水，象征性的用无根水洗洗脸，下一个程序该分鸡蛋了。鸡蛋是我妈或我姑起早煮好的，但得分好。那时鸡蛋不是天天有，不是想要多少就有多少。大哥是男孩，爷爷奶奶总分给他十个，而我们姐妹几个能分到六道八个。每每这时看我撅嘴奶奶也能偷偷的多给我一两个，还不忘在我后脑勺上轻轻拍一下。

我们揣好分得的鸡蛋，叫上左邻右舍的小朋友很早就出发。必须在日出前爬到北沙丘的最顶端，然后回头再看日出。五月末六月初的家乡已绿成一片，每家每户的孩子，还有邻村的都从四面八方往这赶。

男孩们领着小狗，吹着口哨从我们身边呼啸而过，看谁能第一个爬到呢。往上爬时不穿鞋的，网上裤腿就上，有时还倒滚回去。每爬上一个小山丘拿出鸡蛋相互磕一下谁的现碎现吃她的鸡蛋，所以分鸡蛋时都挑红皮儿的小一些的。

登上处的都很自豪的跟下面的挥手，喊叫，就这样边吃鸡蛋边上。四五个人扯着手唱着歌上，春风伴着欢笑飞舞，春日迎着我们升起。北沙丘的每一粒沙子也都欢快地在震动。

等疯累了，玩够后，满身是沙子的我们回到家时，香喷喷的韭菜卧鸡蛋，还有我妈烙的荞面饼已经摆好了。

“噼啪—噼啪”如此熟悉的鞭炮声，原来是一年一度的新年除夕，每一年的这一天，都让我念念不忘。

每一年的除夕夜，我们家都会在家吃一顿大餐，吃饱饭后，会到空旷的地方玩烟火或放沖天炮。从除夕夜的前一天，我就看着爸爸妈妈準备新年需要的东西—水果、年糕、鸡肉和鱼……等。记得有一次，初二回外婆家时，我不小心打破碗时，外婆口中念着“岁岁”平安，小心翼翼的将碎掉的碗用红纸包起来，并放在神龛上，原本我还很怕会被骂，外婆和我解释说：“过年打破碗盘是很不吉利的”。最后就是正月十五的元宵节，我们会吃汤圆，听说吃汤圆是因为汤圆的外形圆滚饱满，象徵团圆、幸福。经过这些礼仪、习俗，预告着一年的开始与希望。

其实每一种传统习俗，都具有不同涵义，如“挂艾草”驱毒避邪;“父母分赠新生儿弥月油饭”代替“满月酒”表达喜悦与送礼的心意;“吃粽子”为了避免鱼虾吃食屈原的尸体;“红包金额要凑双数”是希望好事成双的好兆头。然而，这些涵义都是传递人与人之间诚挚浓厚的意味—人情味。但也未必完全没有坏处，或对大自然和人体没有伤害。

烤肉是大家最热衷的中秋节活动，因为在烤肉的同时所飘散出来的，不只是香香的烤肉味，还有一股浓浓的人情味。焚香烧金纸也时常在祭祀时使用，但在烤肉或焚香烧金纸的过程中，我看到了空气污染，为了地球的生态环境以及温室效应，我们应该尽量少从事以上等相关活动，如以吃月饼等方法代替。

传统习俗让亲朋好友之间的感情更加紧密，像是刚出生的婴儿与父母密不可分一样，它让大家放下了手机，而期许我们能把传统习俗一代一代的传承下去。

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”我国众多节日里，其中我最喜欢的一个节日是春节。

春节到了，大街小巷挂满了红灯笼和春联，大街上到处洋溢着欢乐，红红的对联贴在每个家的大门上，看着美丽的大街热热闹闹的，有的在贴各种各样的窗花，有的在家围着坐着一起聊天，快快乐乐的吃起了丰盛的年夜饭，大家有说有笑，每个人都露出灿烂的笑容。吃完了年夜饭，己经到我们玩耍的时间，我们便拿出我们的烟火，找到了一个空旷的地方，开始放鞭炮。只听“啪啪”几声，几朵绚丽火花在空中绽放。红的似火、白的似雪、粉的似霞?夜空中那璀璨的明珠，也不再寂寞、他们有了烟花的陪伴。我胆子也比较大了，拿了一个小型的烟花，跑到别处去、小心翼翼地拿出打火机，点燃了导火线，只听“兹兹”的声音，我的心揪了起来，但是那炫丽的烟花让我深深地陶醉其中、把恐惧抛到九霄云外、就这样放完为止、我们开心的回家了。

一次新的体验 A new experience

Yesterday I did commonweal in library to earn my public service

scores(which is similar to the compulsory credits).I arrived library at 8’clock

in the morning,a librarian let me to wipe the mirror in every toilet from one to

six floor.Then I started to wipe the mirrors.It was been two hours after I

finished all work.I was very tired,but looking at the shiny and clean mirrors I

had wiped, I felt very happy.To be honest,I had never done the things like it at

home,so it was a new experience to me,and it make me realize the hard work of my

parent.

昨天，我在图书馆做公益去获取公益实数(类似于学分)。我早上8点到达图书馆，一个图书馆管理员让我去擦一楼到六楼的厕所里的镜子。然后

就开始擦镜子了。等我完成了所有的工作，已经过去两个小时了。我非常地累，但是看着被我擦得干净闪亮的镜子，我感到很开心。说实话，我在家里从来没有做过像这样的事情，所以，这对我来说是一次新的体验，这也让我体会到了父母的艰辛。

“当然是因为纪念屈原。他是一个爱国诗人，看见秦军攻破楚国国都时，就满怀悲愤地投江自尽了。”妈妈带我穿越了时空，来到了烽火四起的楚国，看见了屈原跳江时脸上绝望的神情。老百姓把粽子丢到江里，期望能喂饱鱼虾，不让他们夺食屈原的尸体。

我喜欢过端午节，它不仅仅能让我吃到香香的粽子，还能让我了解中国的历史。

中国传统节日有很多，比如端午节，清明节，重阳节等等，可是我最喜欢的节日是端午节。传说在很久以前的农历五月初五，爱国诗人屈原听见自己国家快要灭亡的消息后，愤怒交加，最后抱起一块石头跳入江河里。

到了现在每年五月初五这一天，被定为端午节来纪念屈原。在这一天，包粽子，赛龙舟，来纪念爱国诗人。奶奶在这一天也会把长长的艾条，高高的挂在家门口。

端午节最常见的习俗要数吃粽子。虽然商店里的粽子品种很多，但是，我还是喜欢家里奶奶包的粽子。在端午节的前两天，奶奶就会把包粽子的粽叶买回来用清水煮好，然后准备包粽子的原材料，糯米，肉，红枣绿豆等等。接下来就是包粽子，首先奶奶都会拿两三片粽叶，左手捏着叶子的一头，右手用三个手指捏住叶子的另一头，手轻轻地往里一卷，卷成一个圆椎体的形状。然后，往卷好的粽叶里面放一根筷子，再往里面放准备好的原材料。奶奶会边包边用筷子戳一戳，奶奶说，这样会粽子更紧，更加好吃。最后再拿一片叶子盖住糯米，用棉线把粽子捆结实，这样一个有模有样的粽子就包好了。粽子煮熟后，每次我都会迫不及待地把粽叶打开，那个香味喷鼻而来，金黄色的糯米看起来是那么的诱人。我大口大口的吃了起来，真是太美味了。每次我都会一年吃好几个呢。

因为我爱吃粽子，所以我喜欢端午节，真希望天天都过端午节。

In China, the number of college students increases every year, as more and

more students get the college education, college students are under great

pressure. We hear from the news that a lot of students can’t find jobs after

graduation, then the next year, the other students gets graduating, the two

years’ students compete for the jobs! I just can’t imagine such situation. The

pressure from college students is getting greater, they should relieve it now

and then, because too much pressure will bring bad effect, some may distort

their minds, once their emotion can’t relieve in time, some tragical things may

happen. It is said that some students suicide themselves because they have much

pressure. Everybody will have pressure, but we must know that pressure brings

motivation, at the same time, it also brings burden, we have to balance it. When

we deal with it well, we can live a better life.

I am working on a new project which is called A Survey of New Industry in the Maywood District. According to the design of our district, we need information about firms that have recently moved into this area. Your firm is one of the largest of these, so I shall be very grateful if you can spare the time to help me.

Three points are specially important to the project. The first one is the training schemes for school leavers. The second one is about the transport arrangements to overcome poor road and rail links in this district. The third is the plans for expansion.
