春节是中国的传统节日。在春节里，人们会走亲访友，小孩会收到大人的压岁钱，还会放鞭炮，还有一家人聚在一起吃年夜饭。

其中，我最喜欢的环节就是吃年夜饭了。

春节那天晚上，我们一家九口人都围坐在一张大桌子前，谈天说地，还聊形形色色的人。上菜了，妈妈把十几二十盘菜一盘一盘地端上桌，琳琅满目的菜品让我应接不暇。

开动吃了，大家都“君子动口又动手”。我本想夹起一根粉丝，结果这粉丝又滑又长。我拿着筷子一会正着夹，一会反过来夹，一会从左边夹，一会又从右边夹，夹了不下十次。我堂堂君子连一根粉丝都夹不上来，还算是君子吗?这次一定要夹起来，我一本正经地伸出手，用筷子使劲地夹，啊!成功了!还没等我欢呼，粉丝那滑溜溜的身子还是从我的筷子下逃脱了。

吃完年夜饭，我拉上爸爸去放烟花。我拿起一根又细又长的烟花，用打火机点燃，“嗞---”，突然，“呼”的一声烟花飞上了天，“吧啦吧啦”地响起来，开始还把我吓了一大跳。

啊，春节真快乐啊!要是天天都这么快乐，就等于每天都过春节该多好啊!

“啪啪啪”，春节来了。

晚上，我吃完丰盛的年夜饭，出来放烟花爆竹。

我兴奋得又叫又跳。我买的烟花爆竹可多了，接下来我就给大家讲讲“烟花棒”。

烟花棒：它是一根细棒子，只要把它点燃，它就会冒出亮晶晶的火花。如果你想写字或画画，那么你就用烟花棒比划一下（必须是点燃的哦！）那个图案或文字便会隐隐约约出现在你眼前。

再给你们介绍一下“PIAPIAPIA”。

PIAPIAPIA：它是一种甩炮。有各种颜色和形状。在夜里，它炸开后会闪一下。它还会发出很响的一声：“PIA！”所以可以用来吓唬一条叫黑白的小狗狗，你往它脚边丢一个甩炮，“PIA！”它会吓得跳起来！

我和爸妈，外婆，外公，哥哥，姐姐一起来放烟花。胆小的哥哥拿着打火机去点火，火都没点着他就害怕地缩了回来。他还说这是安全起见！

烟花爆竹我最喜欢了！天空中，烟花会燃放出各种各样的画面：有的像一个金黄的小太阳，有的像一朵小花，有的像一群小鱼儿，有的像满天星星，有的像一颗大大的火球，还有一些像似一颗流星。我来回拿了好多好多各式各样的爆竹，家门口前红红火火，屋顶上是一大片“烟花的星空”。

晚上，在梦里，我又在放烟花爆竹了！

在一阵阵爆竹声中，一阵阵欢歌笑语中，我们终于迎来了一年一度的春节!春节，是中国最盛大的节日，也是我们最高兴的日子。家家户户张灯结彩，街上焕然一新，一派喜气洋洋的景象。爸爸妈妈也早早地把家里布置得五彩缤纷，还置办了年货，我眨着幸福的眼睛，穿着新衣服在镜子镜子面前照来照去，真是美极了!

大年三十爸爸领着我把鲜红的对联贴在墙上和门上，那喜庆的金色的字映衬的我们家满院都蓬荜生辉了。令我最温馨的是除夕晚上，全家围坐在一起吃着香气四溢的饺子，心中感到是那样的温暖，看着异彩纷呈的春晚节目，静静地等着新年钟声的敲响……

大年初一上午，亲戚朋友们都赶来拜年了。大家相互问候，热闹非凡。爸爸妈妈、爷爷奶奶、大爷大娘、姑姑姑父还给了我和弟弟压岁钱呢!中午时分，亲戚朋友们欢聚一堂，大家平时难得见上一面，和他们在一起吃饭真是高兴极了!餐桌上摆满各色美食，鸡、鸭、鱼、肉丰盛极了，还有我最爱吃的干炸蘑菇呢!大家举杯庆祝，喜悦挂在每个人的脸上。

晚上的时候，在美丽的月光下，我和哥哥弟弟，还有妈妈，看着爸爸点燃了五彩的烟花，顿时就喷出了美丽的火花，真是漂亮极了!看着这美丽的景色，听着一阵阵火花声，别提有多开心了!

新的一年，又是一个新的开始，让我们从现在起珍惜每一分每一秒，增加一份动力，取得一片收获吧!

春节是人们在一年中最快活、最热闹的节日。提到春节，我们的传统就多姿多彩啦!有的贴对联啦、有的吃汤圆啦、有的收红包啦、有的看烟花啊、有舞龙舞狮啊等等。

贴春联是民间庆祝春节的第一件事。每当接近春节的时候，家家户户都会选上一副新的对联，贴在大门的两边。对联上都是一些好的词句，表达人们对新的一年美好的祝愿。说到对联，我想到了一个有趣的“倒福”故事。从前有一个人把福倒过来贴，一个人路过，看到福字被倒过来贴就喊：“福倒(到)了，福倒(到)了”自此以后，人们常常把福字倒过来贴，代表福倒了。

除夕夜，家家户户都喜欢做汤圆，一家人一起吃汤圆，代表团团圆圆。

我最喜欢的春节风俗就是——收红包。红包也叫“压岁钱”。年初一早上我的枕头下都会有红包，是爸爸妈妈在除夕夜我睡着了以后放的。妈妈说这样会帮我压惊。还有互相拜年的时候大人总是要给小孩红包，表示大吉大利。

就是这个传统风俗使我们在春节里过得很快乐!

If the most beautiful season of the year is spring, for me, the most

interesting festival of the year is the new years Eve! On that day, we should

not only eat family reunion dinner, but also staying-up late on new years

。这时，爸爸给我讲起嫦娥奔月的故事，我又和姐姐玩起了猜字谜游戏。我津津有味地吃着美味的月饼，有五仁的，豆沙的芙蓉的。玩了很长时间，我们早已疲惫不堪，只好向月亮说声再见，然后依依不舍的睡觉去了。

俗话说：“离家三里远，别是一乡风。”我的家乡绵竹，过端午节也有独特的风俗呢。

在我们这儿，人们管端午节叫“端阳节”。这一天，人们会买些香包挂在身上或放在车里、家里。香包里包着艾草等草药和香料，据说可以用来驱虫、驱蛇。香包的式样各种各样，有元宝形，有长方形，有正方形，甚至还有粽子模样的。有的上面还会绣个“福”字。

和许多地方一样，端阳这天，大家会在门前挂上艾草或菖蒲，用来驱虫、辟邪。据说端午这天，百草皆为药。所以一大早，老人们就出门去，从赶早场的农民手中买回艾草、菖蒲、九节风、金银花等各种草药熬汤，一直熬到中午。将熬好的草药汤倒进澡盆，再掺入适量冷水，就叫家中的小孩进去泡澡。据说端阳节用这种草药汤洗澡，可以祛毒，还可以洗掉霉运，往后就会拥有好身体、好运气了。

泡完澡，就到了端阳必不可少的环节——吃粽子!打开用竹叶包裹的粽子，一阵清香扑鼻而来。米饭因为有竹叶的包裹，变得异常香甜。粽子还不止一种味道呢!有的里面还包着红枣，有的里面还包着豆沙，有的里面还包着葡萄干……喜欢什么味道就吃什么味道，让人不亦乐乎!若你还觉得不够味，可以加上一些我们绵竹产的玫瑰酱。这样的粽子吃进嘴里，甜腻腻的，竹叶的清香加上玫瑰的芳香，令人回味无穷。

端午这天，我的家乡虽然没有赛龙舟这样激烈的赛事活动，但我们的端午节绝对是最悠闲最自在的。我喜欢家乡的端午节!

It is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is disappearing along

with the development of technology. Many ancient architectures and traditional

ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and

craftsmanship will be replaced in this modern era.

The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly,

traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new

sciences are always highly efficient, because modern science and technology

facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot, with which we can save much

money and time. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture,

especially the maintenance and repair of the historical buildings.

In my opinion, although traditional culture is an ancient heritage, it

couldnt keep pace with the development of society. It is the tide of history

that the traditional culture and technology will no doubt be eliminated in the

end.

A little monkey picks up a pumpkin and wants to take it home.But the pumpkin is toobig.The monkey cant take it home.

Suddenly he sees a panda riding a bike towards him. He watches the bike. "l have a good idea. I can roll the pumpkin. It likes a wheel."

中国有很多的传统节日，我最喜欢的是端午节。

你知道端午节的来历吗？让我来告诉你吧！在古代有一位爱国诗人—屈原投江的故事，人们为了不让鱼儿吃掉屈原的尸体，便把粽子和雄黄酒，洒到水面上，让鱼儿吃粽子，保护屈原的尸体不被吃掉。

端午节是农历五月初五，这个节日有很多精彩的活动，比如：“赛龙舟、插艾草。其中，我最喜欢的是包粽子。首先要把粽叶清洗干净，把粽叶卷成漏斗形状，再把一颗颗胖胖的糯米洗好，再放进粽叶里，放入又大又红的红枣。我一手把粽子拿着，一手把粽叶翻过来，把粽子包裹，可是怎么包都包不好，一颗颗糯米像个调皮的孩子，总会撒到桌子上。我心里很着急，正当我疑惑时，妈妈对我说：“宝贝，宝贝，你里面的糯米太多了！”于是我把糯米舀出去了一点。这时，包的比以前顺畅多了！外面缠上红色棉线，最后把粽子放入蒸锅，蒸上十五分钟，出锅后，香味都飘进我的鼻子里了！把一个个粽子像一个个绿色的小娃。剥开粽叶，里面白白的粽子被红枣染上了淡淡的红色了。尝上一口，又香又糯，也甜甜的，可好吃呢！

端午节可真有趣呢！

Every May in Chinese lunar calendar is Dragon Boat Festival, do you know anything about it? Let me speak for you.

Once upon a time, there was a patriotic poet Qu Yuan, once he went to Beijing to go to work, see a decline of state variable, then vote Miluo River to commit suicide. Before he died, he wrote a poem. People in order to commemorate the patriotic poet, the annual Lunar New Year in May at the beginning of a dragon boat festival.

The main contents of the Dragon Boat Festival is the dragon boat racing, zongzi.

Dragon boat racing scene is very lively, crowded shore. Just listen to the sound of gunfire, paddled boat people desperately, but the river is full of cheering.

Rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, is for filling, with glutinous rice. When the package is very sticky, not professionals, but the package is not good!

我国有许多传统节日，比如有：中秋节、重阳节、元宵节、春节……我最喜欢的节日是端午节，因为端午节可以吃粽子。

一大早，外婆就去菜市场买了包粽子的材料。开始包粽子了，我学外婆把粽叶卷成斗笠形，再捞一小勺糯米来放进去。可是，糯米掉下去了。我又捞了一勺糯米放进去，可是，糯米又掉下去了。我一次次把糯米放进去，糯米却一次次地掉。后来，我才发现原来是底下有个洞啊!我换一片粽叶，把糯米放进去，再放一些肉馅。接着放糯米使劲压一压，把粽叶卷好，用一条棉线从底部包扎好。可是，我不会打结，只好又向外婆求助。半个小时过去了，我和外婆包了好多个粽子。

包完粽子，要开始蒸粽子了。粽子蒸好了，我赶紧把粽子往嘴里送。粽子可真好吃，不一会儿，我们就把粽子吃光了。那滋味真是让了吃了还想吃。

啊!端午节美味可口、营养丰富的粽子可真让人忘也忘不了。

中国有很多历史悠久的传统节日，其中，我最喜欢春节！

大年二八二九，我们就开始筹备我们家的春晚节目。我和姐姐写了一块牌子，写着：“不许进来”，就锁上门，往白纸上写字，我们要准备一场“家庭春晚”。我们写好台词，又苦背了起来。接着，我和姐姐拿上零花钱，奔向家门对面的小店，买了一些糖果，装进礼物盒，剪了窗花挂在墙上，又用美术字写上：“新春快乐”！呀！美丽极了，我和姐姐乐得手舞足蹈。

吃年夜饭了，爷爷大显身手，可口的饭菜一盘一盘地端上来，我的肚子吃了个滚圆。

吃完年夜饭，我们精彩的节目在舞台上一个个上演，台下观众发出雷鸣般的鼓掌声。我们心里美滋滋的，那天晚上，我做了一个甜甜的梦！

我最喜欢过春节，喜欢热闹的春节，喜欢团圆的春节！

几度春冬，几度秋；几度苍落，几度愁。风吹柳絮漫天飞，情爱离别多苦愁，吾君早已随风去，徒留沧桑于心头。

一年一度的清明节近在眼前，我突然变得伤感起来，有种“明月残照，铅华尽，夜已谅，对洒东风，心之所忧。回首昨时，共落人断肠。白日西归，莺蝶舞，暮春往。人之所春，桃之夭夭，却是旧时香。”的感觉。或许这是青春期的骚动吧？

从古书添入新词，从前世走到今生，传统节日伴着我们走过了多少年华。

随着社会的飞速发展，传统节日已不再是简单的吃好、玩好、穿好，更多的是多年不见的好友聚在一起，大家共叙往事；或者是家人结伴外出游玩。

也许是我们的保护传统节日的观念淡薄吧？记得初三时，学校老师出政治题的时候曾问过：请例举一下中国有哪些传统节日。我们年级有200多名学生，但有接近50名学生都有回答：月饼节，棕子节，汤圆节……可能很多人看了卷子后都只会觉得可笑，但我却感到了莫大的悲哀。

很多人都说90后是颓废的一代，因为很多人都不记得中秋节，清明节，端午节是用来记念什么的。

回想起韩国将端午节注册为自己国家的节日时，在国内并没有引起多大的感触，人们还是和往常一样平静地生活，这是一件多么可悲的事情啊？

原本一直以为自己是最能坚持的人，为了保护某件事物可以不惜一切代价，我以为我能够与千千万万麻木的人们抗争，哪怕全世界所有的人都选择放弃，我亦不会。走到如今才逐渐懂得，有的人选择放弃，并非出自最本质的有的愿望，只是无法与时光抗衡，逐渐淡了心底熠熠生辉的梦想，这是人之可悲，也是人之幸事。人终其一生背负着梦想的十字架踽踽独行，人生势必充满劳顿与不堪，而倘若人因恐惧劳顿抑生计而放弃梦想，则必将为自己平静的人生添几分悲凉……

我知道，光有我一个人醒悟是不够的，写这篇文章只是希望能有更多的人能够醒悟。

我不奢望能够起到多大的作用，请学会保护传统节日。

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.
