Moon Festival The Moon Festival or Mid -autumn Festival is one of the three major traditional festivals celebrated by Chinese people. Like harvest time in other countries, the Mid-autumn Festival actually began as a thanksgiving celebration, honoring the Soil God and the Crop God. This is also a time for family reunions. Chinese people enjoy moon cakes during this feast just as they eat rice dumplings for the Dragon Boat Festival. There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.
To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.
When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.
Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

端午节的大街小巷都是人，有叔叔阿姨，也有爷爷奶奶。他们都露出开心的笑容，有的在买粽子，有的在全家团聚一起吃饭，可热闹了！粽子各种各样，有鲜肉馅的，红枣馅的，蛋黄馅的，还有红豆馅的等等……有一次过端午节，我和妈妈一起去买粽子。走到店门口看到里面人山人海，排得像一条长龙似的。我们排了好久好久的队才买到想要的粽子。我和妈妈一起买了很多的粽子，差不多有三大袋。回到家，刚好客人来了，有我的叔叔阿姨，伯伯和爷爷奶奶。等到我们开始吃饭时，我惊呆了。桌上不仅有可口美味的果汁，还有各种各样的粽子和美味佳肴。我们一边吃饭一边聊天，聊到了三更半夜也没尽兴。
我们中国有很多传统文化，传统文化就是外国没有的文化，比如春节，就是一种传统文化。
一到大街上，你就会发现春节是个特别的日子，楼上张灯结彩，人们都欢天喜地，充满了欢声笑语，还穿上了焕然一新的衣服，大街上热闹非凡，万象更新。
春节的习俗是贴对联、挂灯笼、吃饺子、年糕，还买年画、剪红色的窗花、看春晚、说吉利话得压岁钱、一家子吃团圆饭、迎财神、逛花市、庙会、迎门神……
春节的来历是：春节和年的概念，最初的含意来自农业，古时人们把谷的生长周期称为“年”。《说文·禾部》“年，谷熟也。”在夏商时代产生了夏历，以月亮圆缺的周期为月，一年划分十二个月，每月以不见月亮的那天叫朔。
春节也有很多活动，比如放鞭炮，舞龙舞狮、敲锣打鼓，还放烟花——不一会儿，天上就出现了五彩缤纷、万紫千红、绚丽多彩的烟花。

+ 加入清单春节是中国最重要的传统节日之一，它代表新一年的开端，因此这个节日隆重而盛大。所以在这一天，大家必定是过得红红火火，热热闹闹。
今年春节，为了迎接新成员的到来，我们全家都留下来陪即将临盆的嫂子，好让她安心养胎。不过，不能回老家过年，这对我来说，着实可惜。毕竟乡下那震耳欲聋的烟火爆竹声，我倒是挺想念的。还有夜空中赫然升起的一束束花火，一声巨响而营造出的视角冲击，那庞大而震撼的美，在一瞬间的爆破亳无保留的释放出来，也是我久久难忘的。
除夕夜，吃的是团圆饭，聚的是亲人情。这团圆饭得吃得热闹，图个团圆的寓意。饭桌上，你一言我一语，唠叨家常，聊聊闲事，也让这天过得有了些年味。在餐桌上妈妈做的年糕获得一致的好评，这年糕我们老家那边管它叫"油菇子"(谐音)。它和其它年糕有所不同，外呈棕黄色，需用糯米粉伴红糖加水混和，倒入油锅油炸而成，外脆里嫩，口感甚好。这还是妈妈今年特意从老家那儿学来的呢。
大年初一的一大清早醒来也有一套讲究。洗漱完的水应当留起来，统一装在一个水盆里，说是新年不能把身上的财气流走。着实有趣。而且大年初一早餐不能吃酒肉，必须吃斋。具体何故，这是老祖宗留下的规距，我就不清楚原因了。
等到吃完早餐就要做开年来最重要的一件事了，是无论如何都要完成的一一拜年。这可是什么也阻止不了的传统呢。拜年也得有顺序，先长后幼，给老爷爷老奶奶们拜完，再给叔叔婶婶们拜……我家的亲戚多，用手指头掰来数也数不清。但今年特殊，我们身在深圳，只好一一打电话拜年了。如果在老家的话，一般在这个时候已经我们早就出门走亲访友去了。
唉，说实话，还真是有点怀念在老家时跟着爸妈出门拜年呢。说不准还能捞些糖回来呢……毕竟不在老家过年，所以能写的实在没多少，不过你们那儿过年，新鲜事儿肯定不少吧！可以留言告诉我哦。
