一.它有宣泄性 从通俗歌曲诞生的那天起，宣泄性就是它的主要特点，特别是一些摇滚乐歌曲更是如此。通俗歌曲从引进到自己创作一直在宣泄着。宣泄不是贬意，它可以起到健康和治疗的作用。能够利用歌曲来宣泄是社会的进步。

二.它有煽情性 通俗歌曲写情最真实、最细腻、最透彻、也最能打动人心。说它的煽情性，一是指它的内容而言，通俗歌曲以写情见长，所以抒情就有基础，煽情就自然而然，毫不用“炒”。说它的煽情性还指歌曲形式的本身，这种歌曲就像煽情的机器，有众多的狂热者追随其中。煽情性强化了通俗歌曲，通俗歌曲有煽情的本事。

三.它有时装性 说它的时装性，是指它变化的速度、是指它对潮流的把握，通俗歌曲充满流行色，劲吹流行风，对社会生活，对年轻人的心态反映相当灵敏，相当快捷，因此说它有时装性。

四.它有多元性 这是指它的内容和手法，而不可忽视的是它多重于价值观念的表现。价值观念是社会发展在人们生活中的体现，重于表现价值观念决非指经济而言，它是指人们从心理到形体、从存在到生长的一种自我表现、自我寻觅、自我叫卖……

五.它有平民性 通俗歌曲已经变成寻常百姓的一种生活，不管你承认与否，它每时每刻都渗透在我们日常的生活中，它实实在在是平民百姓离不开的调味品、调解剂。说它的平民性还有一条，那就是“不管你春夏与秋冬，躲进小楼成一统”。它很少涉及“大我”而重视“小我”。它不做表面文章，而重视和表现人们真实的心理状态。

六.它有哲理性 通俗歌曲虽然最讲直抒胸臆，虽然最讲娓娓道来，在它的歌词中也经常出现一种发人深省的警句名言，虽然是在普普通通中隐隐现现，确充满了哲理性。这些带有哲理的词句还会被一些商人、文化人、学生、甚至政治家接受。这一节因为篇幅的关系，没有举例子，只要大家认真的学习、思考，就一定能逐渐的掌握这些特征。

蓝图上的落差终归只是理念上的区分，在实践场域的分野也未必明晰。譬如当我们追寻心之所向时，在途中涉足权力的玉墀，这究竟是伴随着期望的泯灭还是期望的达成?在我们塑造生活的同时，生活也在浇铸我们。既不可否认原生的家庭性与社会性，又承认自己的图景有轻狂的失真，不妨让体验走在言语之前。用不被禁锢的头脑去体味切斯瓦夫·米沃什的大海与风帆，并效维特根斯坦之言，对无法言说之事保持沉默。

(说一千道一万，我的意思很简单：年轻人呐，还是少指手划脚，多体验一下生活再说。不然你以为你是自由，其实反而受了更多的禁锢。生活啊，就是有很多复杂的面相，像大海和风帆一样，是你们这个阶段不可能了解的。说到底，你再牛牛得过维特根斯坦吗?他都说要保持沉默，你瞎逼逼啥呢?)
