ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in

intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the

would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in the future.

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible

heritages. Many people have a blind faith in the latest electronic devices. It

is also pathetic to see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass away

without transmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those

challenges, we should both preserve and renovate our ancestral heritages so that

we can help contribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our

spiritual homeland in this age of impersonal science and technology.

The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new sciences are always highly efficient, because modern science and technology facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot, with which we can save much money and time. A factory was discharging waste containing methyl mercury in low concentrations into the sea and as this pollutant passed through food chains it became more concentrated in the tissues of marine organisms until it reached toxic levels.

As a consequence 649 people died from eating fish and shellfish contaminated with mercury and 3500 people suffered from mercury poisoning.

4、提倡人们多保护动物，并给予举报偷猎者的人以经济、物质奖励。

To a large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way, our earth could be a better place to live in.

有一天，小鹿到了另一个森林来散步。小鹿惊奇地想：“咦，这儿的树木怎么只有树桩，变得光秃秃的呢?”突然，小鹿听到一阵哭声，它顺着哭声走过去，原来森林里的小动物们在树桩旁哭泣，哭得可伤心了!

小鹿走到小动物们身旁，问：“你们为什么哭泣呀?”小猴说：“原来这儿的树木长得葱葱茏茏的，树枝很挺拔，我们就在树枝上自由自在地嬉戏、玩耍，可现在树木都被人们砍断了，我们没有嬉戏的地方了，让我们怎么运动呢?”话音刚落，小白兔说：“以前我们有绿油油的草地，现在被人们割掉了，草地上鲜嫩的蘑菇也没有了，我们没有了食物，怎么生活呀!”这时，小鸟飞来了，说：“以前树枝是我们的家，可现在树枝没有了，我们无家可归了，叫我们怎么活得下去啊!”

小鹿仰望着天空，默默地祈祷：“人类啊!你们不要再伤害它们了，快去帮助它们吧!还给它们一个幸福安宁的家园吧!”

自古以来，动物就是人类的朋友，它们心甘情愿的为人类做奴隶，可是，我前些天在网上看到的一组让人触目惊心的图片却令我久久不能平静：

在各大商场里，狐皮包、虎皮大衣、鳄鱼皮皮鞋、手提包总是最耀眼的奢侈品。在各大餐馆中，往往不难看到桌上是熊掌、蛇肉、猴脑等野味。在许多人看来，这只不过是一件件豪华的大衣、精美的奢侈品，是一席席美味的宴席，可是，你们可曾想过它们也是一条条鲜活的生命啊!我看见这些东西，就仿佛看见了一双双沾满鲜血的双手，更是看见了未来因缺少动物资源而一片荒芜的大地;仿佛听到了一声沉闷的枪声过后一只只动物倒地的闷响和随之而来的惨烈的叫声……这难道就是人类对待朋友的态度吗?

其实动物是我们人类最忠实的朋友。比如大象，在我们亚洲的某个动物园中，有一个饲养员天天和大象在一起，他们的关系非常融洽，感情越来越深。终于有一天，老饲养员因年老体弱，体力不支而告老回乡。大象因此不吃不喝，饿得面黄肌瘦，一连病了好几天，院长十分焦急，只好让老饲养员回来。谁知奇迹发生了，饲养员一回来，大象的病竟然奇迹般地好了。由此看来，动物也有灵性，有着与人类相同的情感，大象的忠实恰恰证明了这一点。那我们人类还有什么理由去伤害它们呢。

我呼吁：请不要再残害动物们了，它们和我们一样，也是有灵性，也是有家庭的，都是大自然的子女。贪婪的人类啊!不要只顾自己的利益，而忽略了大自然的感受。不要为了一张皮，一份金钱，而去残杀那些无辜的生命。

因此我倡议：全人类行动起来，权衡利弊，克制自己，不去做无谓的杀生。保护动物，与动物和平共处，并将宠物放生。向更多的人宣传保护动物，向他们陈述利害关系，让他们也一起加入保护动物的行动里来。

人类啊!清醒吧!破坏了生态平衡是多么的可怕。地震、海啸、冰灾已经是大自然对我们的严厉惩罚，难道你们还要继续无知地贪婪下去吗?

I like animals very much， such as horses，monkeys， cats， tigers and so on。 But I like dogs best。 Why？ Because they are very cute and nice。

I have a white dog。 Its name is Bobo。 She is a female dog。She comes from Beijing，China。She wears white clothes and she has two big eyes and a small month。She often walks round and round at home。It has nothing to do。She likes eating ice—cream so much。So do I。When I eat ice—cream，she will look at the ice—cream carefully，So I will give her some to eat。

I think Bobo is the cutest dog in the world。
