Thank you for taking time to read this letter. As the problem of food safety has been becoming worse and worse nowadays, I am obliged to write to you.

Several days ago, one of my classmates came back from supermarket with a large bag of food. Because of having found a new style of tinned?ish in the food store, she was very glad. Several other roommates were invited to enjoy the “mouth?atering chicken”. Unfortunately, after finishing the food, all of my three friends had stomachaches and vomited, their faces having become paler and paler. Due to sensitivity to that kind of tinned food, I escaped that suffer. At that time, my mind went blank. I dialed the emergency number with my trembling hand, therefore they were quickly sent to hospital. The doctor said they were lucky to be out of danger because they did not eat too much of that rotten fish and were hospitalized on time.

This is the matter that happened around me which made me realize the seriousness of the food safety problem. I sincerely hope that the whole society could attach much importance to this issue.

Ordinary Is Beautiful

When we are very small, we dream to be the great person in the future, such

as the scientist, the policeman and so on.

It is good for the children to own the big dream, so that they will study

hard and fight for their future. But the fact is that not all the persons can

become the great person, and most people are doing the ordinary jobs. In my

opinion, ordinary is beautiful, too. Though they are not doing the fine jobs,

they find their own place and make a contribution to the world. Take the cleaner

for example. They wake up early and do the cleaning work. People dare not to do

the job because it is so dirty, but the cleaners decorate the city with their

Throughout the millennia, students of all ages in China have had to endure the miseries of learning by rote. Several other countries in East Asia, including Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, are grappling with similar problems. But the implications of Chinas reform efforts are particularly profound. Chinas traditional education methods are ideally suited to a political culture that requires citizens to submit blindly to authority. By encouraging students to question their teachers and regard them as equals (even official literature now talks of fostering a “democratic” atmosphere in classrooms), China could be ushering in a new kind of relationship between the rulers and the ruled.

而且，龙泉中学今年高三年级有二十七八个班，如果每一个毕业班都合影的话，可能要耽误好几天的功夫。那么，在校领导日常事务繁多的情况下，不一定能够分身参与，只选择几个班级参加合影，也是情理之中，大家都能接受。这件事错就错在没参加合影，却将校领导PS到毕业照上，不管此举是出于校领导的意思，还是具体经办人的主意，都是一种公然造假的手段。

还存在一个严重的歧视问题。据学生反映，“校领导参加合影的两个班是文、理科精英班”，其它毕业班都没有参加合影，而是用PS技术合成的。如果反馈信息属实的话，就说明该校的教育理念和价值观都存在严重的缺陷，没有做到对学生一视同仁，而是根据成绩区别对待，甚至连毕业照都选择性合影。这样的校领导，这样的价值观，如何能够得到学生和公众的认同?上梁不正下梁歪，又如何培养出具备社会正义感的合格学生?

毕业照PS造假看似一件小事，却折射出学校的价值观错位，连这点小事都公然造假，其它方面更难以想象了。毕业照本来是学生对校园生活的纪念，也是告别母校的一个方式，可校领导PS合影的做法，却给毕业生们上了错误的一堂课。这堂令他们终身难忘的人生课，将成为学生心中永远的污点。

教育是终身的过程，并非只在课堂上，还存在于课堂之外，教师和校领导良好的言行举止、品德、素养、学识，都会在日常接触中，给学生留下深刻的印象，让学生从中受益，反过来亦然。在北大学生所写的回忆文章里，都曾对当年的教师和校领导赞誉有加，他们的优秀人格甚至影响到学生的一生，亦令世人为之倾倒。相比之下，部分学校的教师和校领导做派，就显得太过卑下，难以成为学生的效仿榜样。

There is no doubt that traffic congestion becomes a growing worry for the

residents of most urban areas. Some major roads are regularly choked with

traffic in rush hours. The limited transport capacity contributes largely to the

vexing problem. How to solve the headache?.

The existing solutions to traffic jam mainly aim at creating metro bus

systems and broadening major roads. Widening the existing roads can solve

traffic snarls on some level. Soaring car ownership compounds the chronic

annoying problem, so we must sharply reduce the heavy reliance on cars and drive

a shift to the mass transportation. It is a cheap and good way. We can create a

system of customized bus routes and highlight the development of subways,

trolleys and light rail. The effective combination of these solutions will

enable the urban areas to possess a smooth traffic.

If I were a boy again, I would practice perseverance more often, and never give up a thing because it was or inconvenient. if we want light, we must conquer darkness. perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results. “there are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount the pyramids—the eagle and the snail.”

if i were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention; i would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. i would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.the habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. i often hear grown up people say “ i could not fix my attention on the sermon or book, although I wished to do so” , and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.

if I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory. I would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion. it takes a little hard work at first to remember things accurately; but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little trouble. it only needs early cultivation to become a power.
