There has long been a view among Chinese that "Spare the rod, spoil the child". How did this point form and spread through Chinas long history may cause my curiosity. However,what really interests me is whether this viewpoint is still worthy of adoption in our modern society.

For one thing, such "rod using" education mode has no possibility of achieving the goal of education:the forming of a childs judgment on right and wrong as well as the developing of a childs self-control ability. Children are always inquisitive and destructive, tearing up books, throwing down vases and etc,which will make you feel rather angry. Punish them or explain to them, you are faced up with a choice. The only difference is that the former one works on childrens fear of penalty and the latter one on their realization of mistakes. Fears disappearing quickly, children are likely to repeat their wrong activities if you only punish them. Once learning why they are wrong and knowing what is allowed and what is banned, the children may avoid making the same mistakes in the future. And little by little,childrens judging ability will be developed. So in the long run,pointing out the mistakes and what is permitted seem more wise.

Similarly, such "penalty emphasizing" education mode,which somewhat seems a bit violent, harms childrens growth and the forming of their characters. 白天，小孩们的事情很多。抓知了、烤知了、放牛、烤绿豆荚等等。

抓知了有两种方法，方法一：在一根长长的木棒上放一点粘胶，再将木棒小心翼翼地接近知了，贴到知了身上就好了，这样知了就有来无回啦!方法二：在一根长长的木棒上用铁丝朝外面缠绕上一个大圆，一定要拴紧、拴牢。再在铁丝环上套上一个塑料袋，做成一个像“鱼网”一样的东西。“鱼网”慢慢靠近知了，等到知了掉以轻心的时候，你悄无声息地把网慢慢地张开。知了就逃不掉了!

烤知了，抓到了的知了是可以吃的，但要烤。我们一般这样做：在地上立两块砖，在砖的中间架起一块砖或一块瓦片，像一张超迷你的小桌子那样。再把知了放上去烤，烤之前要先把知了给捏死，要不知了就会逃走的!再把知了放到”烤盘”，然后在“烤盘”下生火。烤个大概五分钟就可以吃。千万千万一定要记住把知了的小脑袋去掉再吃!

烤绿豆，绿豆又叫绿豆荚。将绿豆荚剥开，把豆子拿出来放在“烤盘”上，就是那个烤过知了的那个盘子上，烤个五到十分钟，在这时间里，要拿一把树叶“筷子”或者是一把树叶“铲子”不停的翻动”烤盘”上的东西。否则，绿豆会烤焦。

放牛，牛一般都在水边放。原因一，水边的草会比较好，比较鲜嫩。原因二，是牛会在水边喝那里的水。我们只需把牛儿们的牛绳拴在大树上，就可以毫无后顾之忧地在周边的草坪上玩了。

What is music, no one can explain.

Just imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a magnificent concert

hall. The conductor waves his shiny baton with a graceful swing through the air.

A beautiful melody floats slowly around you

You sit quietly with your eyes shut, your heart open. The delicate vibratos

of the violins carry you to a mood of heavenly bliss. An airy solo of the flute

draws you to the imagination, the notes flow like some jumping swallows dancing

and singing calling for the coming of Spring.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I

would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my

ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low

spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so

wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is

“乡村生活，我来了。”寒假来了，我便第一时间飞奔回姥姥家，飞奔回我的乡村生活。

“滴”车子熄火，停在一间水泥瓦房前。我迫不及待的打开车门跑进屋内。眼前是偌大的一个院子，是足够我们这些孩子去疯跑去撒野的。左边是个鸡棚，“哦咯哦！”这是乡村标志性的声音，每个清晨人们在这朝气蓬勃的声音中开始美好的一天。小屋旁围着一圈数木，像卫兵保卫着这美好的家园。

不知不觉我便走到了田埂上。放眼望去，一道道田埂纵横交错，田地里已经冒出小麦那绿油油的小脑袋了。环顾四周，没有高楼大厦，只有那一望无际的绿色，远处传来几声鸡鸣与狗吠，正所谓“鸡犬相闻”。在这里我的心胸似乎变得开阔了。我深吸一口气，新鲜的空气混杂着青草香，令人心旷神怡。

最令我着迷的是乡村的那份自由与趣味。“哦！哦！快跑呀！”“快来抓我呀。你抓不到，哈哈。”我们一群孩子在田埂上放肆奔跑，追逐着风的脚步；我们放肆叫喊，惊的树上的鸟忽的飞起。我们齐齐瘫倒在枯草丛中，休憩一会。远处几位农民在劳作，近处是此起彼伏的肚子“咕咕”叫。我们几人相视一笑，朝着菜园方向出发！问我们去干什么，接下来你就知道了。我们走的一块菜地前，鲜嫩的豌豆上聚集了所有人的目光，肚子叫的更厉害了，每个人都在想：要是摘点回家吃多好！“走，摘豆子去。”“哦！”一群孩子蜂拥而上。一个，两个，三个……美味的豆子在我手里越积越多，拿不下了。要不别拿了？不行，这么好吃的东西拿少了都吃亏的！我把豆子塞进口袋里，把口袋撑得快涨裂了，但我手上的动作依然停不下来。瞧！那个小巧玲珑的嫩豆子娇羞的躲在几片绿叶后，绿色的外壳闪闪发亮，我毫不犹豫的出手，熟练地剥开外壳张开“血盆大口”，一口吞了下去。“好吃！”然后我就踏上了一条不归路。我将摘得豆子全的装进肚子里。你可能会笑我，但谁不是这样。

夜晚，孩子们会拿着烟花到处疯跑。在城里可没有这般宽阔的场地。烟花是我们的路灯，我们拿着烟花到处串门，把整个村子跑了一遍。

现在的乡村经济条件变好了，一切都在更新换代，但我想那唯一不变的就是那自由与欢乐。这是独属于乡村的自由与欢乐，没有城市里的高楼，没有城市里的拥挤，只有放肆奔跑和大笑。我爱上了这样的乡村，这次我不虚此行。
