In China, the number of college students increases every year, as more and more students get the college education, college students are under great pressure. Happiness is dependent upon work. Sometimes we complain that we have too much work, but we fail to realize that it’s our work that keep us moving on and helps us to become a better man. Still i used to be totally caught off guard by Aeros offer althoughhe had almethodsbeen kind. i assumed it was my very own business and that it had never occurred to me ny other personwould offerto assist with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness. The very next day, im goingt a cough and that it later turned out to be a four-day topfever. In those days, i used to be extremely weak and lay in bed all day hard and longly had any strength even to eat. I lost the facility to manage the prospective vacancies of the English courses ever since im goingt a topfever. i began to regret declining Aeros offer. only at that moment, Aero called,asking about my fitnessand told me to have an even rest, saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of choosing my English courses for me. Now im scripting this newsletter because the housework of this writing course and that id love to re emphasize that this is all as a result of my friends attemptthat ive finally made it.

i used to be really grateful to him when he known asand staleered to assist and that its hard to exactmy gratitude with words. All i want to mention about its t that moment, i noticed that he had offered to assist not as it made him feel he was vitalbut because he meant business. Hes a person of integrity. im pleased with having this type of friend.

years later the young woman became critically ill. the local doctors were baffled. they finally sent her to the big city, where specialists can be called in to study her rare disease. dr. howard kelly, now famous was called in for the consultation. when he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. immediately, he rose and went down through the hospital hall into her room.

I dont remember how many examinations Ive taken since I began my schooling. Truth to tell, I dont like examinations at all. I dare say that, in fact, no student likes examinations.

We often hear people say “Examinations are teachers magic weapon”, so most of us may think it is our teachers who give us students so many examinations. But I dont think so. Almost all of them have once been students before they became teachers. We dont like examinations, and neither do our teachers, which may be reasonably concluded. Whats more,the more examinations we take, the more time will be taken from our teachers and the more troubles our teachers have to take.

It is the system in our country, I think, that gives us students so many examinations. If there were no entrance examinations, and all the students could go up to the higher grades without competition, there would not be so many examinations in primary and middle schools. So it is important and necessary to reform the entrance system. Only in this way can examinations be GREatly reduced, and then all the students will be happier.

First Snow

The first fall of snow is not only an event but it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up to find yourself in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment, then where is it to be found?

The very stealth, the eerie quietness, of the thing makes it more magical. Ifall the snow fell at once in one shattering crash, awakening us in the middle of the night the event would be robbed of its wonder. But it flutters down, soundless, hour after hour while we are asleep. Outside the closed curtains of the bedroom a vast transfbrmation scene is takiag place, just as if a myriad elves and brownies were at work, and we turn and yawn and stretch and know nothing about it. And then, what an extraordinary change it is! It is as if the house continent. Even the inside, which has not been touched, seems different, every room appearing smaller and cosier, just as if some power were trying to turn it into a woodcutter’s hut or a snug logcabin. Outside, where the garden was yesterday, there is now a white and glistening level, and the village beyond is no longer your own familiar cluster of roofs but a village in an old German fairy-tale.

You would not be surprised to learn that all the people there, the speetacled postmistress, the cobbler, the retired school master, and the rest, had suffered a change too and had become queer elvish beings, purveyors of invisible caps and magic shoes. You yourselves do not feel quite the same people you were yesterday. How could you not when so much has been changed? There is a curious stir, a little shiver of excite-ment, troubling the house, not unlike the feeling there is abroad when a journey has to be made. The children, of course, are all excitement but even the adults hang about and talk to one another longer than usual before setting down to the day’s work. Nobody can resist the windows. It is like being on board a ship.

challenges in our life time .Some will be subjected to frequent sadness .Some
