“买些什么才好呢?”我独自徘徊在街头，撑着下巴，冥思苦想。“母亲节”到了，我这个做儿子的应该给妈妈送上一件礼物表表心意。无奈囊中羞涩，压岁钱只剩5元了。也罢，到礼品店去碰碰运气吧，或许能买到价廉物美的礼物。

跨进一家礼品店的大门，那些五光十色的各类礼品顿时令我眼花缭乱。买贺卡吧，不行，那老一套了，妈妈不会喜欢的;买八音盒吧，不行，那东西太贵，也没多大意思;买一枝康乃馨吧，不行，虽说好看，也有意义，但开不了几天就谢了……我挑了好长时间，连一件称心的礼物都没有，不是价钱太昂贵，就是质量欠佳。唉，算了，看来今天是买不到中意的了。

唉!刚想转身，我的目光却又落在了柜台角落里的一件小玩艺儿上：一个精巧别致的鸟笼里，有一母一子两只鸟儿。雏鸟正张大了嘴巴，等待妈妈喂食;而鸟妈妈呢，正准备把食物往孩子嘴里送。造型逼真，栩栩如生。碰一下笼子，那对鸟儿都动了起来，好一幅生趣盎然的“喂食图”啊!望着这小巧玲珑的鸟儿，我不禁想起了我的妈妈，她用慈母的爱心细心地哺育着我：生活上，关心体贴;学习上，教育督促。我像阳光雨露下的幼苗儿一样茁壮成长。这雏鸟不就是我吗?这鸟妈妈，多么像我的妈妈啊!顿时，我内心无比激动。一看标价，嘿，正好5元，我高兴地付了钱，小心翼翼地捧着它，一路小跑向家奔去。

回到家里，我顾不上换鞋，就跑到妈妈身旁，深情地说：“妈妈，今天是母亲节，我送给您一件礼物，感谢您的哺育之恩。祝您节日快乐，永远年轻!”随后取出礼物递给了妈妈。她先是一愣，随后便明白了一切。她激动得一句话也没有说，伸出微微颇抖的手搂住了我。这时，我看到她的眼眶里闪烁着晶莹的泪花。

We have recently held a class meeting to discuss the pressure upon everyone of us Senior Three students. At the meeting everyone expressed their own opinions on how to get relieved from pressure.

Pressure comes from all around: from the heavy load of learning, from the fierce competition, from teachers, and from parents. Pressure may affect our studies if there’s too much of it. However, if taken positively, a certain amount of pressure may help push us ahead.

Whenever I find there’s too much pressure, I choose to work out or listen to some light music, which seems to be quite effective. There are many approaches to getting oneself relieved when pressure accumulates. I strongly recommend that when you feel much too stressed, you stop whatever you are doing, get out into the open, take a deep breath, and start thinking of something positive.

When Im free or in trouble, I always take out a book and read quietly. In no time, Ive put my heart into it so that Ill forget all the troubles. Its in this way that Ive formed the habit of reading in any time.

当我空闲的时候或在麻烦，我总是拿出一本书静静地看书。在任何时候，我把我的心让我忘记所有的烦恼。就这样我已经形成在任何时间阅读的习惯。

Little boys as I was, I was interest in picture books and storybooks. I was struck by them. No sooner had I entered the middle school than I began to read novel, plays, and essays and so on. I found I could get much from them. Little by little I took great interest in literature and last term I won the first prize in the composition contest among middle-school students in Zhe Jiang.

当我还是小孩子时，我在图画书和故事书感兴趣。我很惊讶他们。我刚进入了中学，我开始读小说，戏剧，散文等。我发现我可以从他们身上得到很多。渐渐的我开始对文学感兴趣的最后一学期我在浙江省中学生作文竞赛中获得一等奖。

Reading “The Emperors New Clothes”, I had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool. “The Little Match Girl” couldnt keep me from crying for her misery. “Robinson Crusoe” took me into a strange world full of danger. And I was also deeply impressed by Helen Kellers patience and perseverance… Besides these, books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. In a word, good books can make me know what I didnt before. So I think of a good book as my best friend.

阅读“皇帝的新衣”，我不得不把一阵笑声在他的傻瓜。《卖火柴的小女孩》不能不让我为她哭的痛苦。《鲁滨孙漂流记》把我带进了一个充满危险的陌生的世界。我也深深打动了海伦凯勒的耐心和毅力……除此之外，本书还告诉我其它的东西——如何成为一个男人，如何分辨对与错。总之，好的书籍可以让我知道什么我不在。所以我认为一个好的书是我最好的朋友。

Ill never forget this famous saying,“Good books are best friends who never turn their backs upon us.”

我永远不会忘记这句名言，“好书是最好的朋友，谁不背对我们。”
