recently people who tend to read classics are shrinking, while in the past classic staff had a large popularity for all kinds of individuals. why does this phenomenon come out? the reason for this problem is from many aspects, mainly as follows.

渐渐地，我上小学了，也认识了些字，图画书也再不能满足我的求知欲望了，便退休了，让年轻的少年图书代替了它的职位。每次放学，一写完作业，我就会马上以每秒100米迅速跑进书房捧起书本来看，遇到不会的字要么一带而过或翻小字典来查，过了一段时间，竟将小字典翻烂了！经常连晚饭都忘记吃，只有妈妈进来叫我吃饭时，我才会恋恋不舍地放下书本，父母见我这样，担心我的身体，便将书给藏起来，可我就像小老鼠一样总能找出来的，实在不行，我就打哭一场，逼着父母交出来，父母只能乖乖地交出书来，接过书我就立即冲进书房，父母见了都很无奈，谁叫我喜欢看书呢！

到了五年级的时候，我越来越大了，少年图书不能满足我的需求，便又转到了科普书。说起科普书，它可是我的阅读生涯最辉煌的时刻：明确了我的理想。在阅读中我偏爱宇宙方面的知识，它让我知道原来在我们眼中的巨大的地球在宇宙中只不过是一个沧海一栗、黑洞是如此历害，竟能将光也吸走、每天看到的月亮，竟离我们有38万公里……我在阅读之路中，认识了许多天文学家：开普勒、哥白尼、牛顿、霍金……这些人对天文界有很大的影响，我十分敬佩他们，我也渐渐地得出了我的理想；以后我要当个天文学家，去火星探索生命、到外太空结识外星人……“成功旳公式A＝X＋Y＋Z！A就是成功，X就是正确的方法，Y是努力工作，Z是少说废话！”爱因斯坦说的这番话我铭刻在心。阅读完了这些书，也有一个惊喜的好处，那就是初中学地理生物时，我便感觉到这些仿佛都很容易，我还以为很难呢！分数也自然而然提高向100分进军了，这可能也是阅读的一个好处吧！

上了中学，我的书库也慢慢地变得广，开始往古典名着发展。我第一接触的是《海底两万里》，这是姑姑送给我的生日礼物。当时我阅读这本书时，便被阿龙纳斯先生的冒险到潜艇做客的行动震惊了，要是我，我才不敢上去呢！阅读古典名着，我感受到孙悟空强大的反叛精神、海伦·凯勒失明后的痛苦……除了古典名着，我还看报纸，尤爱看国家大事方面的新闻，每当报纸到了，我就马上接过报纸，不管有没有桌子，找到一个干净的地方，跪着就阅读起来。父母见了说哟，我家出了个小博士！，我听了后，大笑起来，父母也跟着笑……

阅读，它的好处有很多，可不止这么少，你只要静下心去发掘它，你就能获得金贵的宝藏，让我们一起去阅读吧！

多读名著，是提高写作能力的有效途径。古人云：“读书破万卷，下笔如有神!”这是颠扑不破的真理。名著中对人物心理的刻画，对景物、事物的生动描写，以及作家们驾驭文字的本领，对每一个读者来说，都是一笔无比宝贵、可多次享用的财富。中学生年纪尚小，接触文学的时间太短，仅凭十几年的人生阅历想要有高超的写作水平其难度可想而知。而阅读名著则是中学生获取写作技巧的最直接、最简便的方式。

名著是社会的缩影。从中我们可以从各种不同的角度来了解这个于中学生来说尚不熟悉的多元化社会。通过阅读名著、鉴赏名著，我们可以看到形态各异的人物，他们既存在于世界中，又不存在于世界中，他们或吝啬或慷慨，或善良或丑恶，或天真美丽或阴险丑陋，或杀富济贫或凶狠残暴，或崇尚真理或庸俗堕落，或勤奋朴素或挥金如土，或精忠报国或卖国求荣，或高尚明智或荒诞不经，或……人间百态、世态炎凉，尽在名著中。

“饭可以一日不吃，觉可以一日不睡，但书不可以一日不读。”这句话曾经这是我的座右铭，现在仍然是。我出生在一个普通的农村家庭，没有锦衣玉食，没有舒适的大别墅，可是却有一颗爱读书的心。小时候，刚识字的时候，就喜欢上了书，喜欢上阅读。我喜欢阅读，不是因为它可以打发无聊的时间，而是可以让我忘却一切，全身心投入到阅读当中，翱翔于知识的海洋，获得更多的精神升华。可是当下很多人忘却阅读，他们认为阅读是可有可无的事，只要把书本上的东西学好就行。其实，这种想法是不正确的。

高尔基说过：“书是人类进步的阶梯”。如果仅仅局限于课本上的内容，而不去拓展课外知识，可以说，这是一个不会学习的人。记得初中时的一次考试，当时名句默写有一句：“滚滚长江东逝水”，好多人都没有写出来，考完后都抱怨说试卷超纲了。其实，试卷并不超纲。当时我们正在学习《出师表》，那不就自然而然的想到了《三国演义》吗？“浪花淘尽英雄”，不正是这本书的开篇引言吗？可是为什么都写不出来呢？就是因为仅仅重视课本而忽视了课外阅读。如果我们能多花些时间去阅读一些对人生有益的课外书，那将会是一笔无形的资产，使我们终身受益。试想一下，如果每个人的阅读量都提升了，中国的有识青年不就更多了，不就会有更多的人投身于建设中国的伟大事业中，来增强中国的国际地位，使中国屹立于世界之林吗？

古代孙权，虽然有军事谋略，却因为读书少，时常闹出笑话。后来他饱读《孙子兵法》，面对刁难的提问，对答如流，不是得出“一日不见，当刮目相看”的感叹吗？阅读无时无刻不影响着一个人的精神世界，虽然不会立竿见影，但作用也不会轻易丧失，关键时刻，它会发挥作用，使你受益匪浅。让我们都积极投身到阅读中吧，哪怕每天只有十分钟，都会慢慢积累，变成无形的精神力量，让我们在前进的道路上勇往无前。

As we all know, books, especially the classical, present the precious accumulation of wisdom and knowledge beyond the limitation of time or space, from which we can enjoy numerous anecdotes, get to know exotic culture and tradition, experience the legendary and miraculous life of our idols and make ourselves better men day by day.

Nevertheless, people, especially the young, seem to have stored those classical books merely on the shelf for an unbelievably long time, which can be attributed to various factors. On the one hand, modern people have to cope with the quick pace and unavoidable stress of their work or life; therefore, they can hardly devote time to reading books. On the other hand, people tend to be more material-oriented involving their social status, amount of wealth or prospects of getting promotion, which eclipse the important benefits from reading classical books.

To me, it is essential for most undergraduates to read certain classical books, especially ones filled with life-long motivation and sagacious thoughts, which may not guarantee them short-term returns but will bring them far-reaching reward.
